Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Chapter 479 - 318: Sultry Queen

  • Next Chapter

The Roganes family are the Dukes of the West, ruling over the entire Western Territory.

Rumors had long circulated that King Harland was deeply in love with a girl from the Roganes family whom he had met on an adventure in his youth. The Lord had always dismissed them as baseless gossip—after all, what great hero didn’t have a few scandalous rumors?—but it turned out they were true.

Levi pictured a blue iris, beautiful enough to enchant the world, waiting under the watchful eyes of all, craning its neck for its hero to come and pick it. But instead, a man already covered in the scent of other flowers arrived. Suddenly, he understood.

"Your Majesty, it’s all in the past." Clothes make the man, as they say. Dressed in a magnificent suit tailored by Elves, the Lord looked exceptionally gallant and heroic as he pulled a white handkerchief from his coat and offered it to her.

This made the woman’s azure eyes burn even brighter.

"It is a bitter wine, difficult to swallow." Seres sat down beside the Lord. She reached out a hand toward his leg, resting it just above his knee. "Only a new, fine wine can make one forget, if only for a moment."

The Queen’s slender fingers brushed lightly over the Lord’s thigh, gliding upward toward the heart of the matter in a gentle, yet unmistakable, suggestion.

"Your Majesty, please, conduct yourself with dignity! We shouldn’t be doing this!" The Lord quickly pulled his leg back, his expression stern.

He truly hadn’t expected that the Queen’s private summons was not for any political reason, but simply because she was lusting after his body.

"A real person does what they want to do, not what they have to do." Seres’s hand now caressed the Lord’s face and hair. "Levi, a woman can only rely on a powerful man. I am very sorry for the offense Bedoyel has caused you. This is my way of sincerely expressing my apology."

"The King is still hale, but he grows madder by the day. Little Yier is still young, and countless hungry wolves circle outside. I am in desperate need of a strong and powerful ally."

"If even Fulina could become your friend through such means, why can’t I?"

"The King is still in the Ten Thousand Flower Garden, frolicking with those bitches. This is my private domain. No one can enter and disturb us. Levi, cherish me a little. I swear you won’t regret it!"

She spoke with sincere emotion, her eyes filled with the image of his magnificent figure.

Though this Queen had already borne a child, not a trace of it showed on her body. She was still as beautiful as an eighteen-year-old girl, yet possessed the unique charm of a mature woman.

Her beauty alone was enough to take the breath away from the common man.

Her unique status, in particular, only added to the appeal.

’To be blunt, there’s no way I don’t want to sleep with her. A queen, offering herself up for free? What man could possibly resist that?’

But in the end, Levi still had a few principles. He reined in the thoughts that were about to be controlled by his little head instead of his big one and said seriously, "Your Majesty, although I would very much like to become your most steadfast ally, now is definitely not the time."

The subtext was: he was very willing, but the time to do *that* wasn’t right.

"Then when will it be?" Her face was very close, her breath as fragrant as an orchid.

"Next time, for sure!" The Lord raised his chin, looking exceptionally righteous and heroic. The words he left her with were firm and resounding.

"I’ll be waiting." Seres drew close and whispered the words against the Lord’s earlobe before leaving a mark there. Then, she gracefully returned to her original position, once again the noble, lofty Queen, showing no trace of her previous behavior.

If not for the lingering fragrance on his face, the Lord would have almost thought the entire encounter was a dream.

"In any case, ever since that bitch from the Roganes family died a few years ago, our dear His Majesty the King has shown more and more signs of madness." Seres sneered, a hint of satisfaction in her voice.

"Levi, you must be careful. Although the King is mad, it doesn’t mean he’s a fool," Seres added. "He’s a madman with a sharp mind who no longer cares about anything. It’s hard to imagine what a person like that might do. You’re the guest of honor at this banquet he’s hosting, so be extra cautious."

"From now on, in private, you don’t have to call me Queen. Just call me Seres," she said.

"Alright, Seres. I’ll be careful of this madman," the Lord nodded, his expression serious.

"Also, regarding Margery, I’m leaving her completely in your hands. You don’t need to worry about my opinion. As for Bedoyel, I’ll make him apologize to you and stop him from doing any more stupid things!"

Now that the cards were on the table, the Queen cast aside her reserve. She lounged lazily before the Lord, completely unconcerned as her posture revealed a tantalizing view.

"Levi, I will wait for you. It’s never too late. You will be my second man," Seres said, her gaze traveling from the Lord’s lower body to his firm chest, finally settling on his extraordinarily handsome face.

A Dragon Knight of unparalleled strength, with looks as flawless as a god from the Divine Kingdom. It was as if the Creator had concentrated all of mankind’s virility and Power into him alone. He was, for all intents and purposes, the perfect man.

No woman could refuse him, and she was no exception.

Even setting aside the Trade for power, she would willingly keep such a man as her lover.

After some more meaningless small talk, the Lord of High Cliff Castle walked out of the great hall. Led away by a Maid, his footsteps faded into the distance, leaving Seres alone in the room.

She picked up the iced honey milk the Lord had left unfinished and walked to the balcony. Gazing down at the various nobles and Attendants in the Royal Palace, she murmured to herself, "In the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no other choice!"

A trace of confusion crossed her face, but it was quickly replaced by determination.

Walking out of the Royal Palace, the Lord looked up at the morning light that now fully illuminated the land and let out a long sigh. ’What a mess!’

He had originally come to see how the Queen would handle Margery and Bedoyel, but he never expected that she couldn’t care less about the issue.

She had barely mentioned it the entire time, yet she had quietly resolved the problem. But who would have thought the Queen would be so...

Levi now fully understood. While he might be peerless on the battlefield, he was a complete novice in the political arena.

But he didn’t care in the slightest. Might makes right, after all.

Otherwise, the Queen would never have treated him this way.

Shaking his head, he hummed a little tune in high spirits and prepared to head back to his courtyard residence.

"

Been wandering this Otherworld for ten years now~

Even if girls fall for me with a single mighty flex~

I still miss home~

"

...

When the Lord returned to his courtyard residence, he found Zamanzi standing at the main gate like a statue, waiting for his return. The moment he saw the Lord, a look of joy washed over his face and he trotted over. "Boss, you’re finally back!"

"What’s going on?" Levi spat out a leaf he had casually plucked and jumped down from the carriage.

"That... that Halaos guy..."

"You idiot, it’s Harland!" Levi jumped, startled. For a second, he almost thought the big oaf was a Transmigrator too.

"Right, His Majesty King Harland sent an envoy to invite us to the Royal Palace. Apparently, the delegation from Talisi has also arrived."

"Leiden told him you went out shopping and weren’t back yet. He’s inside with Prince Filo, stalling him."

"Alright, let’s go see." Levi dropped his nonchalant attitude and strode into the residence with the gait of a dragon and the stride of a tiger.

As soon as he entered, he heard the sound of conversation coming from the main hall.

"AHEM." The Lord’s deliberately loud cough rang out.

"Look who it is. If it isn’t the ever-busy Lord Levi, handling important matters day and night." The old fox Filo’s smiling voice rang out. "I wonder which brothel Lord Levi was handling his ’affairs’ in?"

’This old bastard. He knows exactly where I went, but he just has to be a sarcastic ass about it.’

The Lord wasn’t one to put up with that kind of attitude. He directly raised his fist. "Watch your mouth, or I’ll beat you up!"
