Pillar of Yita
Chapter 2276 - 91: A Search Operation (2)
Mei glanced at them.
"I don't like these guys, they make me feel really bad..."
Watching the last two knights leave the hall, Parker couldn't help but mutter.
"As if anyone would feel good about them, a bunch of lechers," Tianlan spat, "If I were Brother Ade, I'd give them a good lesson."
"Tianlan, Brother Ade is doing this for us." Gita put down the history book in her hand and explained.
"You don't need to explain, Gita, you're really something," Tianlan replied irritably, "I know that, so that's why I'm not Brother Ade, right?"
This blunt remark left everyone speechless for a moment.
The atmosphere then eased, and suddenly a rattling sound came from the table. Everyone turned back to see that it was Ai Xiaoxiao trembling in fear. When she saw everyone's eyes on her, her face turned red involuntarily, but she stammered uncontrollably, "B-b-big cousin, am I embarrassing?"
Hilveld smiled warmly, shook her head, and said, "At least you didn't show it earlier, compared to most of us, you're already quite brave."
Everyone couldn't help but recall their own initial days in this world.
Indeed, compared to this little girl, some of them didn't perform as well as her.
Only Fang Hong, his first adventure was a big scene—The Long Summer War.
Later, in the Elf Ruins, he directly faced the Seven Seas Travel Group led by the Silver Forest Spear, half of Jiefulite Red Cloak Team's battle regiment, the Giant Construct, the Dead Silence Zone, and top experts from the Second World. Truly colorful, and yet he managed to survive the chaos.
Newcomers with such experiences must be quite rare.
However, Fang Hong was calm now and wouldn't become arrogant over such trivial matters. He looked at the nearby Lady Noble and only asked, "Are you alright?"
"It's alright," Hilveld chuckled lightly and shook her head, but playfully added, "But being with me, you might encounter a lot of similar situations in the future."
Fang Hong was taken aback, then fell speechless.
He couldn't decide if his Miss Ship's Officer was carefree or overly confident?
But just now, those Raven Knights were truly greedy for Hilveld's beauty. He thought that there was something inhuman in their eyes.
Thinking of this, Fang Hong looked at everyone and slightly lowered his hands to indicate he had something to say. Seeing their captain about to speak, the Seven Seas Travel Group silently gathered around the table.
Fang Hong then began, "Everyone, let's get back to the topic. The situation around here seems quite unusual, although it may not be related to us, the Star of Calamity is approaching, and the chaos in Tarun is becoming evident. We should best prepare ourselves, take precautions. The situations mentioned earlier are quite concerning, whether it's the Shadow People or the Crow's Claw Sanctuary—even though they are enemies of the Dragon Worship Sect, they might not be trustworthy, and their origins are questionable."
"Brother Ade, what do you plan to do?" Tianlan asked.
"Gather intelligence," Fang Hong replied, "We will stay here for two days, and return once the snowstorm stops. Before that, try to collect relevant information, but before thoroughly investigating everything, it's best not to get involved in related disputes."
"What about resource procurement?" Elisa asked.
"Reduce the number of people for procurement, leave it to Hilveld and Tianlan, Miss Xiesta, please watch over them. The rest will pair up and disperse to gather information."
Xiesta gave him a glance.
"Does that include me?" Ai Xiaoxiao asked curiously.
Fang Hong nodded and said to Miss Nightingale, "Elisa, you take care of Xiaoxiao. As for Parker, pair up with Xiangzi, remember not to cause any trouble, Luo Yu," he then looked at Luo Yu, "You'll be with me." Luo Yu was slightly startled before nodding.
"Great!" Ai Xiaoxiao exclaimed, "I'm paired with Miss Elisa?"
"Behave," Elisa gently tapped her forehead, "Remember not to hold me back."
Ai Xiaoxiao nodded vigorously.
Parker quietly muttered that he never caused trouble.
"Then what about me, Mr. Ade?" Mei put down her utensils, dabbed her fingertips with a handkerchief, and raised her head to ask.
"Miss Mei, your strength is extraordinary, feel free to decide." Fang Hong thought for a moment and replied.
"Can I join you and Mr. Luo Yu?"
Fang Hong paused, then nodded—he planned to go investigate the Shadow People in the forest, having such a strong companion like Miss Knight along was indeed a good option.
Gita watched and couldn't help feeling uneasy; did Brother Ade forget her?
"Gita," Fang Hong then turned to her, "you and Luo Hao will pair up, stay at the inn to analyze intelligence, keep an eye on community information. I'll have Miss Tata stay and help you. Luo Hao is good at organizing community information; you are a Natural Historian and can fully utilize your skills."
"Will I be helpful to Miss Tata?" Gita nervously looked at the Fairy sitting at the table.
Tata quietly placed her silver teacup down, looked up with dreamy eyes, "Miss Gita, don't worry, we each have our strengths."
At this moment, a gentleman sitting at another table nearby nodded as he watched the scene, Fang Hong directing everyone seemed orderly, having several qualities of a proper captain. "Acceptable." Meanwhile, a lady beside him said lightly.
