Chapter 2236 - 78: Blood Ship (Part 3)

The reconstruction work on Fenris Isle has been ongoing for over a year, and through the collaboration and mutual understanding of the Invokers, the basic tasks have been completed. For those who experienced everything back then, their mission has moved into the next stage, and the Adventurers' Guild has released the second phase of missions. Blood Ship has recently begun to frequently appear around the Cloud Sea areas.

After the disintegration of the Rain Listener and Blood Oath Alliance, the Invokers on the island have entered an unprecedented stage, coming together for a common goal to form a union across Fenris Isle—not yet as formidable as the former East Commonwealth—but a rising force has clearly begun to emerge.

Eternal Night only stood in place for a moment before seeing a group of people approaching from that direction, their war robes slightly different from theirs, with almost identical underlying colors, yet the heraldry bore a different style.

As Eternal Night saw a few of them, he couldn't help but raise his eyebrows—unexpectedly, it was them. He immediately led his people in that direction, "Paradise!"

The group of people walking over suddenly stopped.

Paradise Flower turned toward the direction of the voice, showing a surprised expression on his face: "Eternal Night, it's you guys! I was wondering why there was a ship of ours in the port, turns out it's you all here."

"Weren't you headed to Golande? Why are you here?" Eternal Night asked as he walked over.

"We set off a bit late, and the storm has formed in the south, so we had to come here first."

Paradise Flower said, paused, and then punched Eternal Night on the chest with his fist: "Long time no see, old buddy."

"Long time no see," Eternal Night also smiled slightly, returning the same punch.

Both stepped back, looked at each other, and couldn't help but share a knowing smile.

After the battle, they each went their own ways, both engaged in the reconstruction efforts of Fenris and Cloud Harbor, but seldom meeting those old comrades. However, the epic battle underground on Fenris will forever remain an undying recall in the hearts of those who experienced everything that day. That battle which changed it all, is destined for every participant to remember forever.

And of course, that person.

"I've actually been hearing about your exploits," Eternal Night looked at his comrades and said: "Heard you've done well in Cloud Harbor, now already a chairman of a guild."

"You're not bad yourself," Paradise Flower laughed: "Steel Blade, that name is very resounding around here."

Eternal Night smiled briefly but then sighed.

Seeing his expression, Paradise Flower knew what he was thinking: yes, if that person were still alive, Fenris today would be much more exciting than it is now, right?

He couldn't help but sigh as well: "I've heard the alliance people have already started contacting some guilds on the island."

"That's only natural," Eternal Night replied: "As soon as the new regulations came out, there was an uproar in the circles. Originally, I thought the resistance would be intense, given that the Holy Pact's previous battle shines before us, but the voices of Free Summoners are still too small under the joint suppression of the two major alliances."

"So what do we do?"

"Accepting the alliance's incorporation is only a matter of time, but Fenris Isle must at least maintain basic independence. I just hope we don't get too many traitors among us."

"Alas, if that mighty one were still around, we would have a guiding star, and wouldn't be like how we are now. The Praetor held the kingdom's pressure while we couldn't withstand the alliance's pressure."

Eternal Night shook his head, acknowledging this is inevitable, and besides, he always felt that even if the other were still around, it might not change anything. Individual strength, what does it matter against the alliance? Eteliria is not lacking in talent, Loofah's fame is loud enough, right?

But the existence of that lady can merely vex the alliance and cannot cause any real impact.

Of course, he wouldn't say these words, since for the present Fenris, that name is not only a flag but also a faith.

He changed the topic: "Have you heard about Rolin's matters?"

"Fanric battle?" Paradise Flower responded: "There was quite a commotion over there, although it doesn't compare to ours, but it's indeed a pity about Rolin, I hadn't thought he was someone from the Dark Giant Dragon's side."

Eternal Night was silent for a moment, unsure if he should bring it up, but after a while, he decided to trust his old comrade: "Paradise, actually Rolin wrote me a letter after that."

"What?"

Paradise Flower was startled, looking at Eternal Night, unable to resist saying: "Eternal Night, you can't be tempted by him, it's against the 'manifesto'."

"I certainly understand," Eternal Night said: "He actually didn't say much, just some cryptic words."

"What do you mean?"

"He said that person is still alive."

"That person?" Paradise Flower finished saying this, suddenly understood, and looked at Eternal Night somewhat aghast: "Wait, does that person refer to?"

Eternal Night nodded, about to say more, but at this moment, they suddenly heard a voice coming from beside them.

"Boss, how much is this?"

The voice was so familiar, even after all this time, both instantly matched it to their memories, like a reflex, turning toward that direction.

There, behind a group of sailors, a somewhat rough voice was sounding:

"Kid, step aside, these items are not for sale."

"Huh?"
