Pillar of Yita
Chapter 2121 - 45: A Test (Part 2)
That guy is surprisingly skilled. Fang Hong looked in that direction with some surprise, thinking that although he provided enough information, it's not easy to coordinate people in such a short time.
Ritual Magic isn't just talk; as one of Eteliria's most grand and prestigious magic-guided rituals, it can't be played casually by a few random magician passersby.
This indicates that the coordinator's level is certainly not bad.
Yet, someone stole the spotlight, but Fang Hong doesn't mind at all because what the Seven Seas Travel Group needs most right now is to keep a low profile. Having someone draw attention away from them is something he's wishing for.
Besides, on such a battlefield, large-scale destruction of the enemy is the sure way to attract attention, with their team's composition, they don't have that capability.
The Crystalysis Beasts on the left-wing battlefield suffered severe setbacks, though not to the point of collapse, the attack power at least significantly decreased for the time being.
Fang Hong saw this and put his hands down, deciding not to let the Dragon Hunters join the combat: It looks like others can fend off this wave of attacks.
Although the Papalarians over there were shouting as if someone was going to kill them, "Our money, our leaves, heavens, Lady Roman, Lady Ilien, by Tarot above — and the alchemist over there, all thanks to you giving them the information!"
He was already speaking incoherently.
But Fang Hong was accustomed to this person's exaggerations, with more battles to come, he'd rather conserve his energy to handle surprises.
He looked up into the distance.
His gaze crossed the defensive line's middle section to the right-wing, where blue tides were spreading over the open area outside the Withered Woods.
Rows of gunslingers fired, flames flickering amidst the smoke, bullets passing between the front row of tree people, forming clusters of crystal flowers in the blue tide.
Disorderly Minions tumbled and fell, swiftly submerged under the waves, disappearing without trace.
The crystal tide continued forward, then met the first obstacle — a wall of thorn trees. As their speed slowed, magician and elementalist spells, along with the gunslingers' second round of shooting, bombarded them from all directions.
About two-thirds of the Disorderly Minions passed through this defensive line.
They crossed the riverbank, facing the second round of spell bombardment, while the gunslingers started the third round of shooting.
Next were the Grey Treants stepping boldly onto the riverbank, almost the main force in this battle, swinging branches to toss the crystal creatures piece by piece, smashing them to smithereens.
Taking courage from the Grey Treants in front, Invokers also charged in, the two battlefronts finally clashing together.
The blue tide converged into a massive vortex, the battle was still ongoing, but Fang Hong knew the first wave of attacks had vanished.
The Thorn Frontline blocked the first round of assault, the crystal should have obtained the desired information, both sides were reasonably satisfied with the first encounter.
But the real danger was still ahead. Fang Hong already saw those emerging from the forest — the eerie blue shadows — they were still Disorderly Minions, but not entirely the same. Ordinary Disorderly Minions resemble a slender human, but their pale crystal faces lack features, only a blank surface. They don't use weapons, only sharp claws for combat.
Yet among these emerging Disorderly Minions, some individuals holding crystal spears caught Fang Hong's attention.
The left-wing battlefield was the first to reach a conclusion. The first wave of Disorderly Minions' attack focus wasn't on the flank, coupled with Cuiye's ritual magic effectively curbing their momentum, once the tree people went up, the threat on the left-wing battlefield was essentially neutralized.
Fang Hong didn't even lift a hand.
He was simply searching for potential threats through the Clockwork Fairy.
There were new abnormal movements within the forest, dense clusters of eerie blue fire flickered amidst the Withered Woods, converging into a river, gathering towards the flank.
Fang Hong promptly announced this on the public channel, but several unfamiliar voices emerged from the channel:
"Master, are you saying their next attack focus is on the flank?"
"Will our left-wing pressure be substantial?"
Fang Hong was slightly surprised, then Cuiye's voice came through: "Brother, these are a few captains from our side of the defensive line, I've invited them in, you don't mind, right? After all, this wave of attack is just an appetizer, the upcoming assault will surely be harder to withstand, working together is the way to pass this stage — I've already discussed with them, we'll share some spoils afterward."
The captains in the channel responded affirmatively, although they were still doubtful of Fang Hong's capabilities, their tone was not without flattery. After all, flattery costs nothing, but finding a skilled combat artisan is very difficult.
Cuiye sent him a private message: "Advertising for you, how's that, solid friend, right? Seeing my previous operations, they understood I have insight within the forest, these people are quite shrewd."
Fang Hong shook his head, although Cuiye's move was somewhat unnecessary, he didn't mind. The left-wing is safer, they're safer, and the entire defensive line is safer.
He thought for a moment, then reminded everyone in the channel to be cautious of potential ranged attackers among the Disorderly Minions, everyone responded with acknowledgment.
