Chapter 2423: [ - 2431] Energy Exhausted

Qin Yu and Mo Yuqi were completely bewildered, having no idea what had happened. Little Song, being more experienced, let out an exclamation.

"Not good! This old Russian is about to cheat again!"

Cheat?

Qin Yu was stunned for a moment, for the flesh had already been annihilated on the atomic level; how could Alexander still cheat?

Soon, Qin Yu understood — it turned out that annihilating the flesh from the atomic level wasn’t enough to kill Alexander!

Alexander’s head emitted a strange fluctuation, and the twinkling lights, as if they had found their organization, converged rapidly towards Alexander!

In the blink of an eye, the lights had gathered completely, and below Alexander’s head, a body made up of light points was formed, even repairing the missing chunk of flesh on his left shoulder!

Alexander clenched his fists made of light points and let out a wild laugh.

"Hahaha! So the legend is true, the Maya indeed are beings of energy..."

He stopped halfway, quickly shutting his mouth, not wanting to reveal more secrets.

Qin Yu felt his spirit flying out of him. What the hell was this situation?

How had Alexander turned into a being of light without any warning?

What kind of special abilities might this being of light have?

Before Qin Yu could figure it out, Alexander raised his hand toward Qin Yu and said coldly, "Inferior lifeform, you will never understand the power of the God Race! Die!"

With a whoosh, a bright yellow beam of light shot directly at Qin Yu. On instinct, he thought to dodge, but remembering Mo Yuqi was behind him, Qin Yu gritted his teeth and swung his fist forcefully!

Qin Yu’s fist met the beam of light with precision!

Dispersing it!

Qin Yu let out a wild laugh, "Hahaha! I thought you were so formidable, but you’re just trash!"

As tough as he sounded, Qin Yu felt very bitter inside!

After the collision, the energy of the Purple Micro Battle Armor had been consumed by seventy percent in an instant!

That meant, even with the Yin Ming Stone continuously recharging it, Qin Yu could only barely take one more beam attack!

"Eh? Not bad for a low-quality species, you could actually block one of my attacks! This time, I’m going to get serious!"

Alexander raised his hand again!

This time, the beam of light Alexander was condensing grew much thicker and seemed to shake the very space it passed through!

Qin Yu knew that if he took this attack head-on, he’d definitely be exposed!

His gaze sharpening, he summoned the Sky-Opening Axe and entered a shallow Berserk State!

"Open for me!"

Qin Yu roared and swung the axe towards the beam of light with might!

The power of the Sky-Opening Axe was so immense that space itself couldn’t bear it, leaving fine spatial rifts wherever it passed!

Feeling the overwhelming might of the Sky-Opening Axe, Qin Yu’s confidence surged, believing his axe would surely shatter the energy attack!

But what Qin Yu did not expect was that while the Sky-Opening Axe did indeed split the energy beam apart, it failed to stop the beam’s advance!

The split halves of the energy beam continued forward, slamming heavily into Qin Yu’s chest!

"Beep beep... Energy consumption excessive, Purple Micro Battle Armor status will be deactivated! Three, two, one!"

As the voice ended, the Purple Micro Battle Armor on Qin Yu’s body slowly disintegrated, taking on the form of the Purple Micro Gauntlets!

"Hahaha! And here I thought you were so tough, turns out you’re just a pillow with embroidery? You’re done for already? Inferior races will always be inferior, die!"

Alexander raised his hand toward Qin Yu again! An even thicker beam of light began to condense!

Qin Yu’s complexion turned extremely ashen!

Even with the defense of the Purple Micro Battle Armor, he was constantly pounded until his chest was roiling. Without the Purple Micro Battle Armor, how could he possibly contend?

Was he going to die?

No! He couldn’t die! He absolutely mustn’t die!

As Qin Yu racked his brains for a solution, Little Song, who had been cowering in a corner, suddenly sprang into action!

Like a streak of black lightning, Little Song charged straight at Alexander!

Little Song’s tiny claws heavily slammed into Alexander’s back!

Boom!

Alexander was sent flying by a slap, the column of light gathering in his hand flickering and dispersing!

However, Little Song had not returned to its best condition and only possessed the strength of the late Heavenly Human Realm; the slap had little effect on Alexander.

Alexander looked coldly at Little Song.

"A battle pet? Good! I’ll slaughter your battle pet and eat its flesh!"

With a whoosh, Alexander raised his hand and flicked out a sphere of light, which heavily struck Little Song’s belly, sending it flying! Little Song crashed into the wall and continuously whined, clutching its belly.

"Little Song! Are you alright?" Qin Yu and Mo Yuqi both rushed towards Little Song.

With a pained expression, Mo Yuqi cradled Little Song in her arms. This time, Qin Yu unusually refrained from disciplining Little Song, and he wasn’t bothered by Little Song taking advantage of Mo Yuqi.

"Cough cough... I’m fine."

Although it tried to act tough, fresh blood kept spilling from the corners of Little Song’s mouth!

Qin Yu’s eyes instantly reddened!

He entered a deep Berserk State!

Even though Little Song could be quite mischievous and annoying at times, Qin Yu was fond of it!

He truly regarded Little Song as a younger brother!

Boom!

With a fierce swing of the Sky-Opening Axe, Qin Yu aimed for Alexander’s head!

A look of disdain appeared on Alexander’s face as he released a beam of light!

Qin Yu snorted coldly, raised his left hand, and used the Purple Micro Gauntlets to block the beam while the trajectory of the axe remained unaltered!

The light beam was faster than the axe, and with a loud bang, it heavily struck the Purple Micro Gauntlets! The dispersing energy blasted against Qin Yu’s body!

Qin Yu, heavily impacted, immediately spat out a mouthful of blood!

This blow inflicted serious injuries on Qin Yu, but gritting his teeth, he didn’t retreat and stubbornly swung the axe!

Regrettably, due to the explosion of the light beam blocking his path, the Sky-Opening Axe only grazed Alexander’s chest, leaving a cut on Alexander’s body made of light dots!

Seeing this, Qin Yu’s gaze sharpened. The Sky-Opening Axe was effective?

That meant he had a chance to kill Alexander!

But soon, Qin Yu’s face took on a look of despair because Alexander’s body had no real damage, the wound visibly healing at an observable rate!

"This axe is not bad, you actually managed to injure me with pure strength! It’s a pity, though, your axe lacks energy attacks, otherwise, I might have been defeated. I’ll take this axe!"

Alexander eyed the Sky-Opening Axe in Qin Yu’s hand with a blazing intensity!

As a warrior purified by the Mayan Sacred Spring, his energy attacks were powerful, but his physical attacks were weak.

He hoped that with the Sky-Opening Axe, his physical attacks would also become stronger.

Alexander raised his finger towards Qin Yu once more! Qin Yu’s complexion turned exceedingly grim as that familiar voice resounded again when the Purple Micro Gauntlet blocked the light beam.

"Energy depleted, unable to maintain Purple Micro Gauntlets form, reverting to original state."
