Maya nodded slowly after a moment of thought.

"Hmm... yeah. That would work."

I shifted and sat between Maya and Rachel, with Mom settling in front of us so that the four of us formed a tight circle on the bamboo floor.

The closeness helped a little against the chill. I wrapped one arm around Maya’s waist and the other around Rachel’s, pulling both women firmly against my sides. Their bodies were still damp and cold from the seawater.

Maya’s soft breast pressed against my right arm through the thin, wet fabric of her red dress. On my left, Rachel’s chest similarly molded against me.

I adjusted my hold slightly, feeling the warm weight of both of them more clearly as they instinctively leaned in for heat. Neither woman pulled away; instead, they pressed closer, seeking whatever warmth they could find.

But as more time passed, I noticed that Maya and Rachel were still shivering. Their wet clothes were clinging to their skin, slowly draining their body heat. Even Mom’s shoulders had begun to tremble slightly.

I spoke up, my voice low but firm.

"No. We can’t just wait like this. We need to change out of these wet clothes. If anyone catches a fever out here, it could become dangerous... even life-threatening."

Rachel looked up at me, confused and a little embarrassed by the implication.

"Remove our clothes? What are we supposed to wear then?"

I carefully disentangled myself and stood up.

"I’ll go get some large leaves. We can use them as temporary clothing until our own clothes dry."

Maya frowned slightly, still holding her arms around herself.

"Can’t we just wait until morning? It’s only a few more hours..."

I shook my head.

"I’m worried one of us will get sick. Out here, even a simple fever can turn serious very quickly. I need to go out there. We also still need a fire to keep warm. We can’t put it off any longer."

Rachel immediately offered, her voice quiet but determined.

"I’ll come with you."

I stopped her with a raised hand.

"No. You stay here this time. I’ll go alone."

Maya’s voice was soft but clearly concerned.

"But it’s completely dark outside... there’s only a little moonlight. What if something happens to you?"

"I’ll manage."

Victoria didn’t argue. In her mind, the real danger wasn’t snakes or the dark — it was her son’s effect on women. She had already noticed how Maya’s attention had shifted after he sucked the venom from her thigh.

Maya’s eyes now lingered on Dexter far more than they did on her. Knowing Maya’s original feelings for her, Victoria found the rapid change both surprising and, in a strange way, convenient.

I glanced at her.

"Mom, take care of everyone. I’ll be back soon."

With that, I stepped out of the bamboo house and walked a good distance away until I was well out of sight. Once alone, I opened the Super Market Store from the system and purchased four sets of leaf clothing.

Three were designed for women — a leaf "bra" that covered the chest and a wrap-style leaf skirt that could be tied around the waist. The fourth set was a simpler leaf skirt for myself.

I decided not to change immediately. Instead, I would put the outfits on in front of them later — it would be more interesting that way.

I also bought a supply of dry firewood. Returning too quickly would look suspicious, so I took the opportunity to explore the island properly.

After roughly an hour of moving through the dark terrain, I confirmed that the island was larger than it first appeared. There were animals in the interior, several coconut palms heavy with fruit, and other edible plants scattered throughout the jungle.

Satisfied, I finally headed back, carrying the firewood and the leaf clothing.

Rachel was waiting just outside the bamboo house when I returned.

"You’re back... are you okay? You were gone for so long..."

I nodded and held out one of the leaf outfits.

"Here. This is something I put together."

Rachel took it carefully. Her eyes had adjusted to the moonlight enough to see the construction clearly. She turned the leaf bra over in her hands, her cheeks already beginning to color.

"You... made these? This is... a bra?"

I put on a mildly sheepish expression.

"Well... it won’t win any fashion awards, but it should work. I used tree jute to bind the leaves together and vines to make the skirts. It was the best I could do with what I found in the dark."

Rachel looked both impressed and clearly embarrassed. She carried the outfits inside, her voice a little hesitant as she spoke.

"Boss... look what Dexter made... and Ms. Victoria, this one is for you."

Maya and Victoria each took a set. Victoria held up the leaf bra, stretching the vine straps slightly between her fingers. A deep flush rose on her cheeks as she realized exactly what it was meant to cover.

"Is this supposed to be a bra...?" Her voice was a mixture of disbelief and embarrassment. "You brat. What kind of thing are you making out here? Couldn’t you create something a little more... covering? Something useful?"

I scratched the back of my neck, chuckling awkwardly.

"I’m sorry. This really is the best I could manage. The leaves weren’t large enough for anything fuller. If I come across bigger ones tomorrow, I can try to make something that covers more of your... upper body."

Maya examined her own set in silence for a moment. The leaf bra and matching skirt looked even more revealing in her hands. A soft pink had spread across her cheeks as well, but she still spoke gently.

"It’s okay, Dexter. You went out there alone in the dark for us. This is already more than enough. We’ll manage."

Rachel held her own outfit against her chest, clearly unsure how to feel about wearing something so revealing in front of everyone.

"It’s just... a little embarrassing," she admitted quietly. "But... thank you for making them."

Victoria still looked faintly scandalized as she glanced between the leaf bra and me, but she didn’t argue further. The cold was becoming too uncomfortable to refuse any kind of dry covering.
