Chapter 355: Shuang'Er's Submission

Chen Qingdi, however, found it all rather dull. He didn’t continue to make things difficult for her, gently pulling the blanket over her before backing out of the room. The electronic lock clicked shut again.

He then went to Li Shuang’Er’s room.

He noticed two small footprints in the corner of her room as well, and saw that she had combed her hair into the same style as Gu Shuang’Er.

When he went to the washroom, he found that the makeup and combs there had also just been used.

He knew then that she had done the same things Gu Shuang’Er had.

And just like her sister, she was lying on the bed with her eyes closed, ignoring Chen Qingdi’s arrival.

Chen Qingdi said nothing. He took off his jacket, lay down on the bed beside her, and rested his hand on her shoulder.

“Did Shuang’Er agree to your terms?” Li Shuang’Er asked, her voice flat.

Chen Qingdi didn’t speak, either. He just gently kissed her on the right cheek. Li Shuang’Er’s face flushed red instantly, but she didn’t object.

“We can’t be your mistresses. We won’t let that woman, Shen Mingyue, order us around.”

He gently pulled her into his arms, pressing his upper body against hers.

Feeling threatened, she opened her eyes. “What do you think you’re doing?”

Fortunately, Chen Qingdi made no further moves.

“Tell me the antidote or the formula, and you can walk out of here. I won’t pursue the matter. If you don’t, I’ll stay here and we’ll be boyfriend and girlfriend. You have no objections? Then I’ll leave you to be by yourselves.”

“You scumbag. If you’re going to do something, just do it. Why are you acting like Tang Monk, talking me to death? It’s so annoying!”

Chen Qingdi cupped her cheeks. “The thing I really want to do… you won’t let me.” And with that, he kissed her.

She neither refused nor reciprocated.

He was basically entertaining himself.

Chen Qingdi again felt a sense of dullness. “Since you don’t welcome me, let’s meet again when we both have time. I have things to do.”

With that, he let her go. He washed his face, put on his jacket, and left the room.

But in the instant the door was closing, Li Shuang’Er suddenly shot up from the bed. She pulled Chen Qingdi back inside, slammed the door shut, and leaned against it.

“Don’t you go.”

‘Heaven knows when he’ll come back if he leaves again.’

‘All I know is that since the last time I saw him, I’ve done nothing but eat and sleep, sleep and eat. Eventually, the boredom and loneliness became so unbearable that the only way to keep the terror from overwhelming me was to squat in a corner, clutch my head, and scream at the top of my lungs.’

‘After these past few days, I’m practically insane.’

‘If I really let him leave, it’ll be hard not to go completely crazy.’

Without asking for her permission, Chen Qingdi began to get intimate with her again.

This time, Li Shuang’Er had no defenses. Just as she was about to give in, she suddenly felt a sharp discomfort in her heart. She shoved Chen Qingdi away forcefully.

“Don’t!”

Chen Qingdi was stunned. “Why?”

“Shuang’Er hates you! I don’t dare!”

Chen Qingdi asked, extremely curious, “Where is Shuang’Er?”

Li Shuang’Er hesitated. “If you put us in the same room… if Shuang’Er agrees, I’ll do anything you want.”

‘Continuing to force the issue will only be counterproductive,’ Chen Qingdi thought. ‘But her psychological defenses are already on the verge of collapse.’

‘But should I really lock them in together?’

He hesitated for a moment, then made his decision.

“Someone’s calling for me. I’ll be back after I take care of it!”

He then quickly exited the room, and the electronic lock clicked shut.

Returning to his own quarters, he opened his laptop. On it were two separate video feeds showing the live situation in the two rooms holding Shuang’er.

He discovered that even though the two sisters were held in separate rooms, they were almost always doing the exact same things.

When one sat down, the other would sit in the exact same posture.

When one went to wash up, the other would follow suit.

‘What’s the reason for this?’

‘Could the stories about telepathic connections actually be true?’

After several more days of confinement, both Shuang’ers suddenly rushed toward the cameras in their rooms and started shouting frantically.

“Chen Qingdi, I know you can hear me! Get down here right now and put us in the same room! We’ll agree to whatever you want!”

‘It seems because their minds are connected and they can sense each other, their psychological pressure has been multiplying. Now, assailed by loneliness, they’re both on the verge of a breakdown.’

‘If I don’t go down there soon, even just another day and night, not only will I fail to get the antidote, but I’ll end up with two mental patients on my hands.’

He delayed no longer. He went quickly to the basement, and as soon as he opened one of the doors, Li Shuang’Er rushed out impatiently. She threw her arms around Chen Qingdi’s neck and wrapped her legs around his waist, clinging to him as if her life depended on it.

Chen Qingdi sighed and carried her into Gu Shuang’Er’s room.

Sure enough, Gu Shuang’Er was right there at the door.

The electronic lock clicked shut again. With a woman in each arm, Chen Qingdi sat down with both of them before finally asking his question.

“So, can you tell me what that poison is now?”

Now that the two Shuang’ers were reunited, their emotions stabilized. There was no more needless talk, nor did they particularly resist his actions.

“It’s actually not a poison at all, but a type of Gu. It’s called Hundred Days of Sleep.”

“Hundred Days of Sleep?”

Chen Qingdi swore he had never heard of such a thing before.

“Can it kill someone?”

Suddenly, both women made the same move, leaning their faces in close.

“Kiss me!”

Chen Qingdi was in a bind. ‘Who do I kiss?’

‘They’re both equally beautiful, equally gentle, and they’ve both tacitly accepted their relationship with me. But I only have one mouth.’

The two sisters seemed to realize the problem as well and exchanged a look.

“Why don’t you let him kiss you?”

The other sister shyly objected, “No…”

And so, the two of them left the decision to Chen Qingdi.

‘It was a sweet scene, but it was filled with sweet traps.’

‘No matter my choice, I’ll definitely offend one of them. And the consequence of that is that they’ll both end up hating me.’

Just then, Chen Qingdi suddenly smiled.

“A prophet in Fairyland once said: If the mountain will not come to us, then we must go to the mountain.”

The two sisters asked, completely bewildered.

“What does that mean?”

Chen Qingdi applied force with both hands at the same time, pulling both women’s heads closer until their lips landed on his left and right cheeks, respectively.

“Only children make choices. Adults take everything.”

While the blush had yet to fade from their faces, Chen Qingdi continued.

“I’ve already prepared to stay here with you until the end of time. As for my question, you can answer it or not, I don’t care. If your sect can’t find you and ends up turning the world upside down looking, that’s none of my business.”

The two of them exchanged a look, reaching a silent understanding. Li Shuang’Er spoke.

“Actually, our Master wanted to invent a drug that could enhance human physique without any training. He wanted this drug to strengthen the body even while a person was sleeping. He’s a once-in-a-century medical genius, and he finally found a breakthrough: this Hundred Days of Sleep Gu.”

“Should pregnant women stay away from this stuff?”

Gu Shuang’Er explained, “One of our martial aunts was pregnant, and Master once planted this Gu in her body. The baby she gave birth to was much stronger than other children, with a better immune system. However, the condition was that an antidote was needed to neutralize the Gu’s toxicity. After the baby was born normally, this Gu Poison naturally faded away.”

Chen Qingdi said, “So you’re saying you don’t actually need an antidote?”

Li Shuang’Er explained, “There’s no specific antidote. There is, however, a supplementary medicine to neutralize the Gu Poison’s side effects. For the first twenty days, the side effects aren’t a problem. You just need to find that medicine.”
