Peerless Medical Emperor
Chapter 242: The Gold Medal Assassin’s End of the Road
Bai Jiahui didn’t know why it had taken Zhao Daqiang several days to return. When he found him unconscious on the ground, he quickly ordered his men to put him on an IV drip and wake him up.
Half a day later, the doctor spoke to Bai Jiahui.
"Sir, Zhao Daqiang is about to wake up. You can go ask him whatever you wish."
Bai Jiahui didn’t feel like going himself, so he found his son, Bai Mancang.
"Mancang, go ask Zhao Daqiang why he was so late."
Bai Mancang went to see Zhao Daqiang and found him just waking up and getting to his feet.
"Why are you only just now getting back? Was the assassination successful?"
He clearly noticed that Zhao Daqiang’s gaze was off. His eyes glowed with a green light, like those of a wild wolf that had starved for a long time.
Suddenly, Zhao Daqiang leaped up from the bed, lunged forward, and grabbed Bai Mancang viciously by the shoulders. He lifted his knee and began ramming it into Bai Mancang’s abdomen over and over again.
Bai Mancang’s terrified screams alerted the doctors and medics, who all burst into the room.
By then, Bai Mancang was already bleeding from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, his body collapsing limply to the ground.
"What are you doing? Why did you kill the young master?"
At this point, Zhao Daqiang had lost all reason. His eyes had turned a ghastly green. He swung his fist, sending the head doctor flying. The man slammed against the wall, coughed up blood, and died.
Then, Zhao Daqiang charged out of the hospital without a shred of hesitation, killing anyone he saw.
Hearing that someone was causing trouble at the hospital, Bai Jiahui’s second son, Bai Manlou, quickly gathered a group of experts to suppress the threat.
He suddenly saw Zhao Daqiang pouncing toward them like a frenzied wolf.
The experts all charged forward, trying to take him down, but Zhao Daqiang’s Martial Arts prowess had multiplied exponentially. He took them down one by one, a single punch or kick for each.
None of these experts could withstand a single one of his moves. In no time, the ground was littered with corpses, and he had already charged right up to Bai Manlou.
Bai Manlou pulled out his personal submachine gun, but just as he was about to fire, the weapon was snatched from his hands. The muzzle was turned around, shoved into his mouth, and fired. BANG! BANG!
Bai Manlou’s body was riddled with bullets, a bloody mess.
Just then, the military police from Old Street City arrived.
These men weren’t about to play games. They instantly released ferocious military dogs.
But to Zhao Daqiang, these dogs were nothing more than appetizers. In no time, he had kicked them all aside and charged into the ranks of the military police. To avoid hitting their own, no one dared to open fire.
Instead, they swung their batons, aiming for Zhao Daqiang’s head. The blows landed, and he could feel the pain; they were clearly injuring him.
But the man seemed to be on some kind of drug, fighting with unnatural ferocity, completely unconcerned about being covered in his own blood. After dodging a few baton strikes, he sent the military police scattering in just a few exchanges.
The incident finally reached Bai Jiahui, who mobilized his elite personal guard and rushed over.
His men didn’t bother with one-on-one combat. They simply opened fire.
But Zhao Daqiang was a Muay Thai practitioner, and he had coated his body in so much plant oil that it had formed a thick, hardened layer. Ordinary bullets had almost no effect on him.
Just like a wild boar, even if the bullets could injure him, they couldn’t deliver a fatal shot.
While they were shooting, he had already closed the distance on the gunmen, snatching their pistols away one by one.
The closer he got, the more damage the bullets did. His body was practically riddled with holes.
He finally reached Bai Jiahui. His hands plunged into Bai Jiahui’s shoulders like iron hooks. Just as he tried to lift his knee for another strike, two more fatal shots hit him. The life finally drained from his body, and his corpse collapsed limply to the ground.
Bai Jiahui was rescued. He ordered the hospital staff to examine the body and find out why this man had turned into a rebellious Wei Yan.
The medical examiners came and made a discovery: the man’s anus had been sewn completely shut. After they cut the stitches, they found several large, sprouted soybeans inside.
Perhaps it was the moisture from the food residue in his digestive tract that had caused the soybeans to sprout. The sprouting process generated immense expansion pressure, and this pressure was what drove Zhao Daqiang mad.
A nearby lackey spoke up. "This method isn’t unheard of. Back in the day, when my family didn’t have a cat or any rat poison, this is what we’d do when we caught a rat. After sewing it up, we’d put it back in the nest. Within a day, it would have strangled all the other rats to death."
Bai Jiahui was terrified. Just then, someone rushed over to him.
"Commander, it’s bad! Half of Old Street’s city wall has been breached! We’re exposed to enemy fire! They’re telling us to surrender!"
Bai Jiahui knew it was over. "I killed many people from the Dragon Country while filming those videos. Even if I surrender, do you think they’ll spare me?"
His subordinates all shook their heads.
’To think the Dragon Country didn’t even need to deploy its army. They just issued a simple warrant, and it was enough to rout the Four Great Clans of the scam syndicates.’
’Fortunately, this is just our forward base. My other sons and daughters are still in the rear. So be it. After I’m dead, I hope they can live in peace!’
As he spoke, he ordered his men to use a diesel generator to supply power one last time. He had someone use a phone to record his final moments.
Then he knelt, facing the direction of the Dragon Country.
"I am the cruel warlord, Bai Jiahui. I am the one who brutally murdered your Dragon Country’s undercover agent. I regret it now. I know my own sins are too great to escape the judgment of justice. I hope you will spare my family!"
After speaking, he suddenly pulled out a pistol, put it to his head, and fired. BANG!
How absurd. The rebel leader who once dominated the Red Flame River region had ended his own life just like that.
After his death, his other sons and daughters who were gathered in the city were stunned by the news.
’Dad’s dead. There’s no one left to protect us. We should run!’
So, they boarded their private helicopter and fled Old Street City, intending to head for the capital of Linyi Country.
Who would have known that as soon as they flew over the Anti-Deception Army’s position, a missile came flying toward them.
BOOM! The helicopter was blown to pieces.
Luckily, the aircraft had a threat-detection function that ejected the passengers a second before the missile hit.
Parachutes opened in mid-air, and the few of them landed safely.
But they had no will to fight left. When they saw Peng Liwei and Chen Qingdi closing in on them, they all dropped to their knees with a THUD, holding their guns high above their heads.
"Don’t kill us! We’re willing to surrender!"
Chen Qingdi asked them, "Who are you?"
Bai Jiahui’s daughter answered, "I am Bai Jiahui’s daughter, and these are my younger brothers. We’re willing to be extradited to the Dragon Country and face the judgment of the law!"
