Chapter 2979 Emperor President

Even so, Young Master Hong still got sent flying, with half his face swollen up like a pig’s head.

“You dare hit me? I’ll fucking kill you!” He roared at Ye Luo.

“Ah! Totally forgot about the bomb-disposal rules—this is the Zhongzhou Grand Hotel! I seem to remember you’re not allowed to throw punches here!” Ye Luo put on a look of sudden enlightenment.

It was that sentence that snapped Young Master Hong awake on the spot. Right, this was the Zhongzhou Hotel! Hitting someone here was even more serious than breaking the law!

Quite a few troublemakers in the past had all been sent straight to heaven.

“He hit me! He hit me! Is no one going to do something?”

The guy was ruthless too—he just sprawled on the ground and started shouting at the top of his lungs.

Seeing this, Ye Luo was a bit torn between laughing and crying. This guy was basically like a shrew, not a trace of a young master’s bearing.

But Ye Luo also understood: the brat wanted to borrow the hotel’s Strength to punish him.

Ye Luo had of course already anticipated that. Still, he wanted to see which was tougher, the Tong Yao Group or the Zhongzhou Group. In any case, he was a branch president of the Tong Yao Group; the Zhongzhou Group ought to show him some face.

Of course, if they didn’t, Ye Luo wasn’t going to be polite either—he was representing the Tong Yao Group, after all.

The people around them all backed away; everyone knew the consequences of making trouble in the Zhongzhou Hotel. But plenty still crowded around to watch the show.

Before long, security guards came rushing over, faces twisted into vicious scowls.

And they were carrying modern gear with real firepower.

Normally, security guards weren’t allowed to carry that kind of weapon, but the Zhongzhou Group’s guards simply ignored that. You could see what kind of clout the Zhongzhou Group had.

“Who dares cause trouble here? Tired of living, are you?” one of the guards barked.

“It’s the Hong family’s young master,” Ye Luo said with a smile.

Young Master Hong froze. He’d just been putting on a scene to draw these guards over, only for Ye Luo to seize the initiative. He was so mad he almost spat blood.

“Hong Shao? So you’re the Hong family’s young master? Feeling pretty mighty, huh? Or are you saying the Hong family’s got what it takes to make trouble in here?”

That saying about a dog relying on its master fit perfectly here—a security guard actually dared mock the Hong family’s young master like this, and Young Master Hong still had to respond with a smile. Only, his smile looked worse than crying.

“Gentlemen, take a good look, I’m the one who got beaten up! How would I dare make trouble here?” he said with a bitter smile.

It was just that the proportions of his face were completely out of whack now.

The guards saw the injuries on his face, and only then did their attitude toward him soften.

“So that’s how it is. Then who beat you up like this?” one guard asked.

“I did.” Ye Luo walked up with a grin.

“You?”

The guards immediately surrounded him.

“Who are you? Don’t you know the rules of our hotel?”

“Of course I know the rules.” Ye Luo smiled. “It’s just that this guy was begging for a beating so badly it couldn’t be helped. So I hit him.”

“How dare you!” The security captain roared.

Though they also felt Young Master Hong deserved a beating, the problem was that throwing hands here meant trampling on the Zhongzhou Hotel’s authority.

“Take him down, and don’t let him disrupt the order here!” the captain shouted.

The guards instantly got eager and ready to move.

“You guys have a death wish or what?” Ye Luo frowned. These guards were way too arrogant, not even asking what happened and rushing in to grab people.

If this were the Demon Realm instead of the City of Technology, Ye Luo would’ve slapped them straight off to see the Netherworld King.

Even now, if Ye Luo got pushed too far, he wouldn’t care what Zhongzhou Group it was—he’d hit them anyway.

“Well, well, we’ve actually run into someone who’s not afraid of dying and dares talk back to us. I’d like to see which of us dies faster,” the captain sneered, and the guards leapt at Ye Luo.

“Stop!”

Just then, a soft shout rang out, and a woman in white came over at a measured pace.

Her skin was fair and tender, her features delicate, no worse than Tong Yao’s. That made Ye Luo raise a brow—it seemed the City of Technology also had women of stunning beauty.

Only, she wore her hair short and was dressed in a men’s casual suit, giving off a kind of androgynous charm, with a few extra degrees of boldness.

One more thing: there was a flash of disgust in her eyes! Ye Luo was puzzled; wasn’t this their first time meeting?

But when she looked at other men, her expression was the same. Clearly, it wasn’t aimed specifically at Ye Luo.

Still, at her command, the guards abruptly halted halfway.

“President!”

The guards instantly called out respectfully, heads lowered like eggplants hit by frost.

President? Ye Luo gave her a curious look. Was she the president of the Zhongzhou Group?

What kind of joke was this? How come all these big groups were controlled by women? Was this city biased in favor of women or something? Though he didn’t really see that trend.

“Why are you treating a guest so rudely?” she asked coldly, looking at the guards.

They began to tremble.

It’d long been said that the Zhongzhou Group ruled its employees with an iron fist. From the looks of it, that wasn’t a lie.

“President, he started a fight in the hotel and violated the hotel’s rules,” the captain said stiffly.

The woman finally turned her gaze to Ye Luo.

“Is that true?”

“Yes.” Ye Luo nodded.

“Then why did you strike someone in the hotel?” she asked, frowning.

“Because this guy was begging for a beating so hard that not hitting him just wasn’t an option.”

Hearing that, everyone rolled their eyes. What kind of joke was this—she was the president! He sounded like he was flirting with her.

“Do you feel that’s a sufficient reason?” The president’s brows furrowed deeply.

Off to the side, Young Master Hong was already gloating. This guy was clearly courting death—talking to the president like that? He knew exactly how violent this young lady’s temper was.

There had once been a highly influential princeling who pursued her, and she’d literally kicked him to death without a word! That’s right—kicked him to death! And nothing happened to her; the authorities had chosen to stay silent!

That alone showed just how forceful this young lady was.

If she could kick a major figure to death, what was a punk like this by comparison?

At once, everyone around looked at Ye Luo with pity. Sure, Young Master Hong was annoying, but the problem was you shouldn’t have thrown punches in this hotel.

“I think it’s plenty sufficient.”

Ye Luo didn’t care about this so-called president at all. He was a branch president too. So they didn’t work for the same group—what could she really do to him? He was even ready to start a fight if it came to that.
