An Yiqing smiled and lightly tapped her head, "In this family, your grandparents are in charge. Hurry up, if you come back late and make your grandparents worry, your parents will definitely have words for you."
Su Yuxin then said to Su Changyi and An Jing, "Grandpa, Grandma, I’m going to deliver Mahjong to my little aunt."
With that, Su Yuxin hugged Su Changyi and An Jing, who were still sitting on the kang, before taking the Mahjong to Tao Mansion.
With a smile, An Jing watched her granddaughter Su Yuxin walk out of the main hall before turning her gaze back to Su Changyi and An Yiqing and smiling, "Yuxin is eighteen now, Feiyan has been saying quite often recently that she should have been married a long time ago."
Su Changyi was silent, but An Yiqing sat on the kang and said with a smile, "She and Sizhi grew up together, and they’re often seen together. Everyone says they’re a couple. The only thing is Sizhi hasn’t spoken about it yet; otherwise, Yuxin would have been married by now."
Gong Juese had three sons, the youngest being Meng Sizhi, who was a few days older than Su Yuxin. Although they belong to different generations and have no blood relation, An Jing watched over both as they grew up and still hopes they come together.
It’s just...
An Jing sighed, "I don’t know what to make of Sizhi. Looking at him, it doesn’t seem like he dislikes Yuxin, but he has never brought up marriage with her. I really don’t know what he’s thinking."
An Yiqing laughed, "Mom, Yuxin is your and Dad’s beloved granddaughter, and she’s the Princess; are you really worried she won’t find someone?"
An Jing laughed, "It’s not that I’m worried she won’t find someone, I just don’t understand what’s going on between her and Sizhi."
An Yiqing said, "Mom, you really shouldn’t worry about it. Children have their own destiny. I didn’t get married until I was in my twenties, and Sizhi is only eighteen; he’s probably not in a hurry."
An Jing nodded, "That should be it." She paused, then laughed again, "Fine, I’ll follow your advice, let the children have their own destiny, and let them sort it out themselves."
An Yiqing laughed, "No matter how they sort it out, it’ll be the two of them. Marriage is only a matter of time."
An Jing simply smiled and said nothing more.
Su Changyi remained silent regarding his eldest granddaughter’s marriage; as long as his granddaughter was happy, he supported her.
...
As soon as Su Yuxin arrived at Tao Mansion, she went to Taoming Ye’s courtyard to find Su Xing, her little aunt.
Su Xing was a year younger than her; however, her grandparents recognized Su Xing as a foster daughter, so she had to call Su Xing her little aunt. Luckily, she got along well with her little aunt, and they always had a great relationship.
"Little Aunt! Little Uncle!" Without waiting for anyone to inform them, Su Yuxin went straight into the courtyard where Su Xing and Taoming Ye lived. The guards knew her as the Princess, so no one dared stop her.
"Yuxin is here!" Upon hearing Su Yuxin’s voice, Su Xing hurriedly came out and led Su Yuxin inside. "Come, come, come inside. It’s much warmer in here than outside. What are you doing coming here in the cold weather?"
Su Yuxin raised the items she was carrying and smiled, "I’m here to bring you Mahjong. Everyone else received it from my third brother, but you haven’t yet. Plus, I haven’t seen my little aunt and little uncle in a while, so I came to deliver this and also check how my little aunt and little uncle are doing."
Su Xing smiled, "We’re doing quite well."
Taoming Ye then took the Mahjong from Su Yuxin’s hands and handed it to Ru Song, asking Ru Song to put it away.
