Chapter 375 : Miss Karina and Miss Violetta vs Duke Remy part 2

"Your Majesty!" exclaimed Miss Karina and Miss Violetta loudly.

No sooner had they spoken than several tree trunks suddenly shot toward them with great speed. Miss Karina and Miss Violetta had no time to react; they could only stand frozen as the trunks hurtled toward them. Yet, just before the trunks could strike, they suddenly shattered into pieces. Miss Karina and Miss Violetta were startled by the sight. Then, they heard Queen Kayana speaking and immediately turned to look at her.

"Hurry and attack Lord Remy... Karina, Violetta. You two... need not worry about us. Even though we are... in this state... we will continue to help you however we can. So, quickly defeat Lord Remy... with a combined attack, Karina, Violetta," said Queen Kayana, who was currently being constricted by tree trunks conjured by Duke Remy's magic.

Queen Kayana appeared to remain conscious despite her body being bound and pierced by the tree trunks; the same was true for Charles and Chloe. Furthermore, all three of them were still clutching their weapons, ready to assist Miss Karina and Miss Violetta.

"Very well, Your Majesty. I will make sure to defeat Lord Remy with this attack," said Miss Karina.

"Yes, go quickly and... defeat him," said Queen Kayana.

"Let's go, Violetta," said Miss Karina.

"Understood, Miss," said Lady Violetta.

Then, Miss Karina and Miss Violetta turned to face Duke Remy and immediately dashed toward him at high speed. Upon seeing this, Duke Remy immediately commanded the tree trunks conjured by his magic to swiftly attack Miss Karina and Miss Violetta. The trunks surged forward at high speed toward the two ladies. However, Miss Karina and Miss Violetta managed to evade the onslaught. While some strikes nearly hit and wounded them, others were intercepted by counter-attacks from Queen Kayana, Charles, and Chloe.

Yet, Queen Kayana, Charles, and Chloe could not constantly target the trunks attacking the ladies, given that Karina and Violetta were already being ensnared and pierced by them. Consequently, some of the attacking trunks managed to strike and wound both women, as they lacked the time to dodge and their allies could not intercept every incoming blow. Despite sustaining these injuries, Miss Karina and Miss Violetta continued to rush toward Duke Remy.

Moments later, having sustained numerous wounds from the relentless magical tree trunks, Miss Karina and Miss Violetta closed the distance to Duke Remy. They immediately unleashed their ultimate attacks upon him.

"This is the end, Lord Remy!" said Miss Karina.

"Goodbye, you damned old man," said Miss Violetta.

Miss Karina and Miss Violetta aimed their strikes directly at Duke Remy's neck and head. Duke Remy simply stood there, making no attempt whatsoever to dodge. The attacks launched by Miss Karina and Miss Violetta struck Duke Remy squarely. However, their strikes failed to sever his neck or head, as those areas were encased in the black wooden armor he wore. Not only did they fail to cut through, but their attacks could not even damage or scratch the wooden armor; the blows were halted the instant they made contact. Both women were utterly shocked by this outcome.

"What?!?" exclaimed Miss Karina.

"How is this possible? Previous attacks had an effect on this armor—why do our attacks have absolutely no impact now?" Miss Karina wondered aloud.

Queen Kayana, Charles, and Chloe—who were currently being constricted and pierced by tree branches conjured by Duke Remy’s magic—were also stunned to see that the attacks from Miss Karina and Miss Violetta had no effect.

Meanwhile, seeing their shock, Duke Remy began to laugh.

"Hahaha, you really are incredibly foolish. I told you before: whenever I inject demon blood into my body, I recover, and my power surges. With that increased power, I can forge armor far stronger than before. Naturally, this armor surpasses my previous set, so your combined attacks won't have any effect on it."

"I said I wouldn't let you attack me—as if your strikes could actually harm me—but that was merely a ruse to lure you in. I never expected you to actually fall for the trap," Duke Remy said.

With that, Duke Remy pointed his right hand toward Miss Karina and Miss Violetta. Black tree roots instantly shot out, coiling around them and piercing various parts of their bodies. Miss Karina and Miss Violetta struggled to break free, but the grip of the roots was far too strong. Duke Remy then approached the two women, who remained bound by the roots, his sword in hand.

"Enough playing around. It is time to end this. You shall be the first to die. Do you have any last words, Ms. Principal?" Duke Remy asked.

Miss Karina fell silent for a moment after the question. Then, shortly after, she began to speak.

"It’s a shame... I thought... we could all defeat you... even by working together. We were determined... to beat you... before 'that person' arrived... but in the end... we still couldn't do it. It is truly... disappointing and humiliating," said Miss Karina, gasping for air.

Miss Karina appeared to be struggling to breathe.

"Who exactly is 'that person' you're referring to?" asked Duke Remy.

"You will find out... for yourself soon enough, Lord Remy. By the way, don't you... feel the aura pressure... enveloping this place... getting stronger? You must be... finding it harder... to breathe too, right?" asked Miss Karina.

Duke Remy was startled by Miss Karina's words. He was shocked because what she said was true; he had just realized that the aura pressure filling the area was intensifying, and he, too, was struggling to breathe.

"It seems... 'that person'... has arrived," said Miss Karina.

Just then, someone suddenly darted at high speed toward Duke Remy. As the figure rushed forward, they sliced through the tree vines that were binding Queen Kayana, Charles, Chloe, Miss Violetta, and even Miss Karina. The vines were successfully severed, freeing everyone from their grasp. The person who had rushed in now stood directly before Duke Remy. Duke Remy looked utterly shocked upon seeing who it was.

"Rid Arc—" Duke Remy began.

But before he could finish his sentence, the figure launched a lightning-fast attack against him.

Duke Remy took the attack head-on, sending him hurtling backward at high speed until he slammed into—and shattered—the wall behind him.
