Chapter 57 - Towards District 10
“C-couldn’t you just warn us before you did something like that…?” Colt said looking at Jay while trembling slightly.
The “plan” Jay had told them was simply to entertain the Wolf’s Fang member as long as possible, as for the details, he had not told them, so it really surprised them.
After all, even though everyone present were rank (D+) supers, a hit as strong as that was enough to kill them or leave them severely injured at the very least.
One only needed to look at the Wolf’s Fang member to see this, despite being a pugilist, the type of super most resistant to physical attacks, he had ended up in such a deplorable state anyway.
“Ahaha, sorry, but don’t worry, next time I’ll definitely let them know~” Jay replied while checking the bloody body of the Wolf’s Fang’s member.
After he dropped the chunk of concrete, Jay quickly got down just in case the Wolf’s Fang member had avoided it.
Fortunately, all had gone well, so instead he set out to check him, though of course it wasn’t a normal inspection, he was using the system interface to do so.

‘Hm, although the interface doesn’t tell me anything new, it seems that if I focus more on the parasite instead of the system, I can feel more or less feel how much time left has this guy…’ Jay thought after seeing Evert’s status window, retrieving his little one in the process..
The fact that the parasites could share energy with him had caused him to broaden his mind, so Jay didn’t forget to try to do more things with the parasite than with the system.
After all, despite having been using parasite’s energy constantly, the system still did not mention anything about that nor did it recognize it as an ability even though the effects were quite good.
“By the way…who is this guy?”
Suddenly, the voice of Damien, who was a little further away next to Pol, was heard, asking a question that despite being necessary had been ignored until this moment.
“Don’t worry, he’s… oh, actually, I don’t know either.” Pol replied changing his expression from one of confidence to one of realization.
Although neither of them knew all the members of Metal Body due to there being too many of them, they were absolutely certain that there was not one who covered his face with bandages.
Which meant… this person was a stranger!
Immediately, both Damien and Pol couldn’t help but raise their guard at this unknown person.
“Alright, I know you have a lot of questions about me, but how about we chat while we go get your friend?” Said Jay with a bitter smile, knowing that a tense moment was coming.
“I can assure you that he’s not our enemy…well not anymore at least, so please hear him out.” Said Colt.
After that, although they still distrusted Jay, seeing that Colt trusted him, both Pol and Damien agreed, so they took the Wolf’s Fang member and started to head for their partner.
Gradually, thanks to Jay’s friendly attitude, Colt’s trust and a little help from their little ones, both Wolf’s Fang members stopped distrusting him, as they had realized that just as Colt said, he was not an enemy.
If he had any intention of harming them, he could easily have let the Wolf’s Fang members finish them off, instead, he had not only helped them, but had also worked together with them to defeat them.
Faced with this, both of them could only admit defeat.
After picking up their partner and waking him up, instead of taking the Wolf’s Fang member him to the prison personally, what these two people did was to call someone else, apparently Metal Body had people specifically tasked with transporting enemies to the prison.
This surprised Jay a bit because again he did not expect a gang to be so organized.
As to why Colt had carried the other members of Wolf’s Fang on his own, apparently he, being a normal member of Metal Body, did not enjoy those benefits.
After waiting for a few minutes, a van with 2 men on it arrived on the scene and took the Wolf’s Fang members away quickly without stopping to chat with anyone, apparently they were quite busy.
“So, what are you guys planning to do now?” Jay asked to the group of 3 people in front of him, consisting of Pol, Damien and Susilo, the partner of both of them who had recently woken up, as for Colt, he was next to Jay.
“Well, since one of the executives called us, I’m afraid we have no choice but to head to the central area near District 10.” Damien replied, who was apparently the leader of this small group, “Although it’s a pretty dangerous place right now, we have to go anyway.”
While it could be considered somewhat confidential information, Damien wasn’t too worried about Jay knowing this.
“Hm, it’s where all the grade (C-) supers from both sides are, right?”
“That’s right.” He replied, a helpless expression forming on his face, he knew that even if they went they most likely wouldn’t make a difference, however, Metal Body had done a lot for him, even getting to the point where he almost considered them his family.
Therefore, although he was afraid to go, even if he had to run the risk of being killed, he was willing to fight for Metal Body.
As for his companions, even if they were not as passionate as he was, they showed that they felt the same way.
“Oh, but I’m sure you all know that in a battle like this, even if you three give it your all, you won’t accomplish much, right?” Jay asked, looking directly at Damien.
“That’s…true, but we still have to go.”
“You know, what if instead of just gambling it all away like that…why don’t you guys listen to the idea I have?”
“…What idea?”
Jay had been racking his brain to think of a way to rescue Noah without relying on anyone but himself and Colt, but no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn’t find a way.
And that only got worse after witnessing the power of Wolf’s Fang members, so he had no choice but to abandon that idea.
Instead, Jay decided to do something riskier for himself, something that if it went well, besides being able to get Noah back, it would also bring him quite a few benefits.
Although if it failed…at best he would end up just like Noah, and at worst, the person known as Jay Sacrest would become part of the large number of people killed in the South Zone.
However, in such a situation, Jay could only hold on to this alternative, only then could he achieve an ending in which both he and Noah got out of this place safely.
To do that, the first thing he needed was enough power to not fear facing Wolf’s Fang, while his surprise attack and use of the magically reinforced bandages combo had been incredibly useful, he had had to rely on other people to serve as a distraction while he did his thing, besides, nothing ensured that there wouldn’t be enemies that could prevent that.
So what could he do then?
The answer was right in front of him, in the form of 3 people with enough power to fight a Wolf’s Fang member on their own.
“It’s simple really, just as we saved you guys, I want you to come with us towards the places where the other Metal Body members are.”
“Oh…um…”
“I know what you’re thinking, that you should hurry as fast as possible, however, give it some thought, individually, even with the drug you’re taking, you’re still weaker than Wolf’s Fang members, so you’ll be chickens going to slaughter if you go just like that…”
Jay had said the same thing to Pol a while back, and again he repeated it, for one simple reason…it was still true.
“Even if me and Colt join you, the only thing that will change will be the number of casualties.” Jay said again, not giving Damien time to respond, “Now then, if even 5 supers working won’t accomplish anything, what do you think we can do?”
After asking that question, Jay slowly approached the group, waiting for their response.
“I…I’m not sure.” Replied Damien, who for some reason felt nervous facing Jay’s intense stare which seemed to want to see what exactly he was thinking.
“Easy! If 5 isn’t enough, we’ll attack with 10, if 10 isn’t enough, we’ll attack with 20!” Shouted Jay to emphasize what he had said.
Individually, they would all lose to Wolf’s Fang members, but that didn’t matter much as what Jay was looking for was not simply to recruit these three to his temporary group to go deeper into the South Zone, but to use this group of 5 to recruit even more people.
Faced with Jay’s words, everyone present could only think that he was right, after all, what Metal Body had the most was members, so even if they only counted the amount of elite members, it was still a considerable number.
“I…”
Then, before he could finish accepting Jay’s request, Jay suddenly let go and looked at the three of them.
“Remember, while it’s true that the enemy is strong, you aren’t weak either! Just remember all the times you faced them, how many comrades have you lost because of them! Will you let it keep happening!?”
Jay had raised his voice quite a bit, but not enough to annoy them, just enough to emphasize what he was saying while avoiding anyone wanting to interrupt him.
“You are part of Metal Body, the dominant force in the Southern Zone, will you let your other comrades and bosses be killed by them?!”
Inevitably, everyone present could feel something inside them slowly begin to heat up.
They knew better than anyone else what Wolf’s Fang members were like, ruthless, dastardly and cruel, people who used their superior strength and did not hold back even against normal people, but the moment they encountered someone strong, they were the first to run away.
“Of course not!” The first to answer was Pol, clenching his fists tightly as he shouted his answer.
It was obvious that his personality was direct and passionate, so upon hearing those words, he couldn’t help but exclaim what he felt… a fervent desire to face Wolf’s Fang.
Of course, although the others were not as passionate as he was, they were not far behind either.
“That’s right, we won’t allow it!” Added Susilo.
Seeing that his companions felt the same way, Damien felt moved, then, he also shouted with a smile, “Well said!”
“Come on then, it’s time to show Wolf’s Fang that in the face of sheer force, even the elites will fall!” Jay shouted, looking at the four of them.
“”Yes!”” Replied the Metal Body members in unison, even Colt had joined them, their blood boiling due to the fighting spirit within them.
Just like that, Jay, along with his temporary team of 5 started heading towards the points where the other Metal Body members were supposed to be, starting with the weakest and ending with the strongest, rescuing several in the process.
Thanks to the information Damien gave him about the other members, the group chat and the valuable aerial view of the drone Jenny was operating, they managed to find a considerable number of people, although some refused Jay’s invitation despite numerous attempts to recruit them, they were the minority.
Moreover, the larger the group became, the fewer people were reluctant to join, further increasing their recruiting capabilities.
Finally, after a strenuous use of his social skills along with the support of Colt, Pol, Damien and Susilo, not forgetting of course the parasites that played a crucial role in making these people more susceptible, Jay managed to recruit an incredible amount of 68 Metal Body supers!
‘Hm…with this amount, it should be enough to take care of everything…” Jay thought, looking at all the Metal Body members around him, who were taking a break in an abandoned parking lot not so far from the deep districts of the South Zone.
Suddenly, Jay, who was sitting next to his original group, jumped on top of a car and raised his voice to give his final message.
“Everyone, the time has come! After tonight, Wolf’s Fang will only be history, let’s go!”
In response, all Metal Body members shouted in unison.
Right now, thanks to all the motivation Jay had given them, they all had only one goal in mind… to destroy Wolf’s Fang!
With those words as his last, Jay and his large group of Metal Body began to head towards the depths of the South Zone, specifically, District 10!
