1947 Chapter 1939: Bait Not Taken; The Ancient Zenith's Mystery

Standing upon a solid platform of chaos mana, just outside of the White Abyssal Galaxy, Wei Wuyin beheld a scroll with a vivid spiritual illustration. This was sent through the Void Altar, exhausting a significant amount of Void Energy, by Xue Yifei. It depicted her flawless figure garbed in risqué lingerie, beckoning him with her gaze and hands in a rather...suggestive pose. It was beyond stimulating, enough to be a precious treasure for the ages to any connoisseur of sensual beauty.

"To my conqueror of the starry skies," Wei Wuyin chuckled gleefully with a silly, shameless grin, enjoying every curve and angle that the illustration offered, reading the signature and salutation imbued with her distinct scent and spiritual aura. She sent him this present as a 'reward' for his recent exploits, delivering incredible fortune to the empire, which was elevating its level of prosperity.

It couldn't be understated that the effectiveness of the Void Altars and his conquest of three entire galaxies, transforming them into galactic vassals, was crucial to the development of a fledgling empire. With the Void Altar established in the Utmost Purity Galaxy, including the legacies of the zenith towers, there was bound to be greater growth on all fronts.

"She loved the planet too." Wei Wuyin was oddly happy at this moment, a sharp contrast to the pure murderous rampage that had left the outside region of a greater galaxy scarred by his saber. However, he had always loved the simple things and knew how to enjoy them, especially gestures like these that affirm his relationships.

He had transformed three other rogue planets that were scattered across the galaxies into World Soul possessing planets, enriched by mystic energies and mystic power. They were genuine mystic-graded planets, and fairly high-level too. Attached to his belt were three dangling marble-sized Void Crystals, all planets with World Souls.

It didn't take long, only a day or so to achieve, and while he had some failures, his success rate was roughly 30%. Since this Cultivation Method of his was unrefined and not practiced, his failure was an expected situation. At most, those failures required more than a few million years of development, likely billions, which would take more time, forcing him to set them aside for further refinement later.

"The Ancient Zenith is waiting for you," Athena squeezed herself into his fun time to admire and spoke out. She was on the verge of completing her transformation after acquiring Little Defiant's assistance. She could communicate with far greater ease and clarity.

"Let her wait," Eden snapped.

"..." Athena was taken aback by the attitude, from Eden of all souls. "Am I missing something? Didn't you say that your Karmic Luck Value of the Heavenly Daos has been exhausted here? Shouldn't you seize this opportunity?"

"Not really," Ori chimed in with a gloomy tone.

Athena was suspicious. It's been a full day since Su Mei had sent that transmission, yet Wei Wuyin didn't seem in a rush to meet her. However, earlier, he was excited to have a 'Dao Discussion' with her and even respected her decision to wait to do so until her true body returned. Now that it had, he wasn't leaping at the chance?

While yes, Xue Yifei was important, and this moment of verifying this new cultivation method for World Soul planets was unprecedentedly miraculous, the shift was unexpected.

Wei Wuyin folded the scroll. It transformed into a tiny scroll barely the size of a fingernail. He placed it into the Myriad Yore Crystal for safekeeping, a sign that it was held extraordinarily close to his heart and treated with the utmost care. Clearing his throat, he eyed the Utmost Purity Galaxy Su Yi hadn't made it back to the galaxy yet. Moreover, that mysterious woman hadn't taken action, nor could he sense her. As expected, she was either too far out of range while observing under concealment or had given up altogether after the Karmic Sky. If he had to guess, the latter might be more likely given his destination.

"Are you waiting for that woman to appear?" Athena asked, seemingly understanding some things in terms of priority.

Wei Wuyin explained, "If it were me, I wouldn't wait for a Blessed to grow again after expending their load, especially after the Karmic Sky that might have drained them dry of karmic luck. I would involve myself in their lives, siphon whatever opportunity they had coming. That was the main method for Inheritors of Sin. At least, from what I've gathered.

"I also wouldn't give up and wait for them to replenish their Karmic Luck Value. It's far too unreliable and could take a significant amount of time. Supreme Sages don't die often." Those words enlightened Athena immediately. Wei Wuyin was keeping a close eye on Su Yi, ready to assist at a moment's notice, likely intending to execute a layered plan.

"Why is this woman so important?" Athena inquired. She had only just recently understood Wei Wuyin's almost hellish story, enough to scare any mortal, especially becoming an Inheritor of this so-called First Sinner, forced to take on the challenges of Hell meant for Supreme Sages who've cultivated their True Souls.

"I'm not one hundred percent certain that she's an Inheritor of Sin. She could be a Supreme Seer with a modus operandi on par with Wen Mingna and Ming Shufeng's Seer Organization. They rode the coattails of Blessed, and an Empyrean would be the best form of Blessed to grab for them. If so, she would still make herself known by involving herself in his fortune."

"Like Heavengazer Encompassing-Night tried to do?" Athena was slowly understanding.

"Not exactly," Wei Wuyin inhaled and exhaled out an air of pure, enriched energy, "Heavengazer Encompassing-Night had vague intentions. After receiving Su Mei's warning, I feel his actions leaned towards malicious intentions rather than fostering goodwill with me as an Empyrean."

Shocked, "You mean there's something wrong with Yue Songli?" In her eyes, that shady seer had advised on how to properly dual cultivate with a Catalyst Body of her caliber.

"No, she's perfect." Wei Wuyin gently rubbed his forehead out of frustration. "The issue isn't that there's something wrong with her, but the method by which to dual cultivate and gain the most out of her body. It feels veiled, deliberate. Most importantly, dual cultivating with Yue Songli will ruin her ability to cultivate if done improperly. That's the downside of a Catalyst Body, hence why Xi Ning hid hers so aggressively despite her ambitions."

This detail was why Wei Wuyin hadn't told Yue Songli of her Catalyst Body. While she eventually learned of it, the fact remained that there was a severe consequence to dual cultivating as a Catalyst Body without carefulness, a consequence that could lead to death.

But if done correctly, the wondrous results would be unimaginably extraordinary. Xi Ning and Shang Wanqing both had Catalyst Bodies and urgently sought for Wei Wuyin to claim their chastity, not just for his growth but for hers. If dual cultivation was done properly, 10% of the benefit of the body's effects would be his while 90% would be theirs.

Almost everyone would rather take 100%; the Catalyst Body's fate in question was irrelevant to them. A perfect cauldron.

Wei Wuyin already had the method to use a Catalyst Body from Zhang Jiangwen's memories, including the details of Yue Songli's rare body that was amongst the top three of all Catalyst Bodies out there, but he wasn't planning to dual cultivate with her during their planned union at the end of the date. He wanted to have their purest connection without any risk.

However, after Heavengazer Encompassing-Night's arrival, he was even more inclined to do so. That might seem odd given his plans remained unchanged, but there was a lingering thought for him to dual cultivate with her to allow her cultivation base and body's qualities to boom to fruition, to take that risk regardless of the chance.

What would happen if he decided not to dual cultivate, allowing her body to be ruined after her chastity was taken? From any highly educated source on the topic: nothing. But he had a strange feeling that's exactly what Heavengazer Encompassing-Night wanted.

Unbeknownst to Wei Wuyin, Su Mei's unwarranted request, which could easily be misconstrued as jealousy, which was spurred by Wei Xiaotian's timely interference, had inadvertently saved him a whole world of trouble.

Unfortunately, a particular version was not so fortunate without Wei Xiaotian by his side...

"Regardless of his intentions, I'll get clear answers from him next time I see him," Wei Wuyin placed that to the wayside, especially since Heavengazer Encompassing-Night had left the galaxy long ago. It was of Wei Wuyin's intuitive suspicion that his timely departure was deliberately done to avoid something catastrophic, such as his reprisal.

"But what about Ancient Zenith? Why the hostility and gloom?" Athena understood why Wei Wuyin was taking his time, eyeing Su Yi to see if that woman would approach before he entered the Utmost Purity Galaxy, a location where Supreme Sages would find it impossible to sneak into with their true bodies or Avatars. If so, he could make a move immediately, unleashing all of his traps.

However, Eden and Ori, the latter of whom was normally unreasonably energetic and happy, while the former rarely showed impatience or anger, had taken sharply contrasting attitudes towards her.

"You don't know who she is? No, no. You don't know who she looks like?" Magus jumped in as if ready to spew out hot gossip.

"Looks like?" Athena was stunned.

Suddenly, Kratos spoke with a tinge of mirth. "If I could bet anything on a wager, I would put my every tooth on this being about that place."

"That place?" Athena was still confused. They were being too vague, and it seemed to be deliberately done too. She could sense it from them, skating the topic at her expense. They were teasing her!

"Hehe. Athena, you might see a familiar place again! A very! Very! Very!! Familiar place!" Ori nudged her with a spiritual bump.

Wei Wuyin could barely resist the urge to laugh. "Alright, enough. You want to see her? Connect with my gaze," he instructed before his Celestial Gaze was pushed to their limits, piercing through the innate veil of the Utmost Purity Galaxy and locating the Ancient Zenith. She was sitting while communicating with a group of geniuses. She calmly lifted her head, seemingly sensing his gaze from afar.

"THAT IS!" Athena was shaken immediately.

"Exactly," Eden laughed heartily.

"BUT HOW?! WHY?!" Athena was so surprised and filled with a myriad of questions that she couldn't even think properly. This didn't make sense at all!

"There are countless special occurrences and existences in the world from a Reborn Reincarnator to a Temporal Reincarnator. Even a Mortal who survived four floors of Hell's Calamities. A Solar Star that has defied size classifications established since the dawn of creation. A woman who seemed to have three souls? Even the mysterious origins of the Elven Race? What about the Sacred Elven Queen herself? She's no less shocking than now, right?" Magus joyfully recounted all the unbelievable things that they've experienced or even created themselves. If he listed all of Wei Wuyin's feats, he would be here all day.

"But..." Athena was unable to argue, yet equally unable to reconcile how, as Wei Wuyin retracted his gaze. He had noticed this from the moment he saw her, and while this might have caused him to be shocked as a younger man, he was far more intrigued by the story there now.

After all, if he was right, this would take him back to that place. Considering he was always intending to go back, and it was the right time to do so, he wondered if he would be able to meet up with that courageously beautiful woman who dared to sacrifice herself for him and that mysterious, Blessed prince of a fallen empire.

"The Battlefield awaits," Wei Wuyin laughed with his entire heart as his silver eyes glowed with a warring spirit. It seemed that this chapter of his life was set to be rife with war.

When Su Yi finally entered the Utmost Purity Galaxy without interruption, Wei Wuyin was able to roughly confirm that the woman was not a Supreme Seer, but was most likely an Inheritor of Sin!

With a steady breath, he conjured a Void Portal. Stepping inside, he vanished from the Dark Void. The Void Creatures that had lingered around this area, enough to frighten lower to middle-staged Mystic Ascendants to death, began to crawl out with breaths of relief as they anxiously observed their surroundings.

The Anima-Devourer was gone!

Silently, they cheered!
