Chapter 73: Destroy Stars?

Neolan grinned as he finished giving the command. The moment he did so, the lower section of the IDOM-05 opened, its surface flowing apart as though the material it was made of had become liquid mercury.

A small missile-shaped weapon emerged from within the spacecraft, and although its size was relatively small, the Astrine Energy surrounding it was so dense that almost anyone would tremble in its presence.

Rosy’s eyes widened in horror when she recognized the weapon, and she immediately tried to move away. She knew exactly what the Y-012 was capable of, as it had been designed to destroy portions of stars themselves.

Even if the weapon merely scratched her body, she would be vaporized instantly, regardless of whatever defenses she could deploy. She had no intention of allowing it to hit her, so she attempted to escape before it could launch.

However, the moment she tried to move, she felt the space around her being sealed. A thin, circular stream of energy surrounded her, binding her within its boundaries as needle-like structures extended upward from its circumference.

Rosy frowned at the unfamiliar technique, but before she could properly examine it, the Y-012 began producing a deep WHOOOOOOM sound as it prepared to launch directly toward her.

Her eyes widened further when Neolan spoke again, "Wondering why you can’t move suddenly? Seems you got cocky because you were strong and didn’t see that I was sealing the space around you." Rosy finally understood what had happened, but she still couldn’t comprehend how he had managed to seal the space around someone like her.

Even if he possessed some kind of special item, she couldn’t imagine it being powerful enough to restrain her. ’Then how?!’ she wondered, unable to find an answer before the Y-012 finally launched from the weapon launcher. With the weapon heading straight toward her, Rosy had no choice but to act out of desperation.

BOOOOOOOM!!

In an instant, all the Astrine Energy within Rosy’s body surged outward at once, and the sealing formation began to crack under the pressure. Neolan’s expression changed as he felt the backlash from his cultivation technique, Absolute Sealing Arts, running through his body.

’Khuk! What the hell? She’s too strong! If this goes on, I can barely keep it active for ten seconds!’ His head grew dizzy, and a small amount of blood escaped from his mouth as he struggled to maintain the technique.

Meanwhile, Rosy’s expression turned serious. She extended her hand against the powerful sealing force, and the space directly in front of her began to glitch as she exerted her strength. The two forces clashed, with the sealing formation struggling to contain the Astrine Energy she was releasing.

Rosy looked toward the incoming Y-012 and spoke coldly, "I had thought I would play with you a little before killing you, but... you forced me."

All the Astrine Energy gathered in her right hand, forming a massive scythe in an instant. Its overall size was even greater than her own body, while its long blade was only slightly curved. The weapon’s black color made it stand out against the surrounding space as Rosy tightened her grip around its handle.

"Don’t blame me for that," she added, and a strange resonance formed between her and the scythe as the weapon began to hum.

The Y-012 moved ferociously, surpassing the speed of light in an instant before appearing directly in front of Rosy. It was only an inch away from striking her when something unexpected happened. The missile split into two equal parts vertically, and the sealing formation surrounding Rosy was cut apart along with it.

The weapon’s forward movement stopped as Rosy teleported away from its path, escaping the immediate danger.

Neolan’s eyes widened as the backlash from the destruction of his technique struck both his mind and body. ’She cut through my Sealing Arts?!’ His shock was evident on his face as he watched what happened next.

He had known that Rosy was powerful, but he hadn’t expected her to destroy both his sealing technique and the incoming weapon with a single attack. The situation had turned out to be far more difficult than he had anticipated.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Two tremendous explosions erupted from the separated halves of the Y-012, consuming the entire region of space where they detonated. By then, the IDOM-05 had already moved far away under the control of the Goddess of Niflheim, keeping Neolan outside the immediate range of the destruction.

He watched the explosions for a long moment as the nearest asteroids and planets were caught in the aftermath. The asteroids were completely erased, while the planets only sustained scratches on their surfaces.

Neolan then turned toward the Goddess of Niflheim and immediately explained the next course of action he wanted to take. She nodded in response, and codes began running across her VR glasses as she processed his instructions.

After a brief moment, she looked toward him and answered, "Done, Sir Neolan." Her quick response indicated that the requested action had been completed, allowing Neolan to proceed with his plan without wasting any more time.

Meanwhile, Rosy had also moved far away from the explosions and was watching the destruction unfold before her. Her eyes narrowed as she looked toward the position where the IDOM-05 had been, only to discover that the spacecraft had vanished entirely.

She closed her eyes and expanded her senses beyond the immediate area, searching for any trace of Neolan or the spacecraft. The moment she realized that she could no longer locate them, her expression twisted with anger.

"DAMN BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU RUN AWAY!!"

Her shout carried enough force to nearly destroy the nearby floating fragments of the asteroids. "Grrr, fuck! Now Boss is gonna be mad at me!" she cursed loudly, unable to hide her frustration. The realization of what her failure would mean began to sink in, and she knew that her boss would not be pleased with the outcome of this mission.

She gritted her teeth, pressing her nails into her palm until blood emerged from both her mouth and her injured palm.

A moment later, Rosy vanished from the area, traveling through the same means she had used to arrive. She had no choice but to leave the mission unfinished for the time being, though she had no intention of abandoning it permanently.

Before disappearing completely, she shouted one final threat into the surrounding space, "I WILL DEFINITELY COME KILL YOU! JUST YOU WAIT, YOU BASTARD!"

Her last shout echoed throughout the area before reaching a certain pair of ears. "Call me anything you want, you psychopathic bitch. I’ll get back at you soon enough." Neolan’s voice came from the same position where the IDOM-05 had previously been.

Gradually, the spacecraft’s previously vanished form became visible again, revealing that it had remained at the same position all along.

’Damn, I had to use a good amount of Qi to seal the entire IDOM-05’s presence, but I managed to fool that bitch.’ Neolan finally relaxed after confirming that Rosy had left. He circulated some of the Qi stored in his Dantian through his energy pathways, using it to heal his body completely and recover from the injuries caused by the backlash.

Once he had finished, he turned his head toward the Goddess of Niflheim, whose VR glasses continued displaying rapidly changing calculations.

’She must be trying to figure out how the IDOM-05 suddenly lost contact with the outside world, well I still gave her some pre-instructions and made sure the original brain of the AI knows about this sudden disappearance.’ Neolan thought, watching her for a moment before shifting his attention toward the materials on the planet below.

His perception locked onto their location despite the fact that he was still thousands of kilometers away, ’Now that the bitch is gone, it’s time to get the materials real quick. Tch, she wasted quite a bit of time.’
