Pampering Discarded Heroines Triggers My 10,000x Rebate System
Chapter 84: Promise Fulfilled
At noon, the Grand Auction Chamber inside City Hall was packed to the brim.
Over a hundred prominent business figures, guild masters, and commercial attorneys filled the tiered wooden rows.
In the front two rows sat representatives from wealthy merchant syndicates who had traveled from neighboring provinces, their private bankers tapping frantically on laptops.
On the raised stage stood the chief official auctioneer, backed by two uniformed state bailiffs.
"Quiet, please! Order in the chamber!" The auctioneer banged his wooden gavel twice, silencing the room.
The large digital screen behind him lit up with legal blueprints, land registries, and maritime permits.
"By executive order of City Hall and the High Court," the auctioneer announced into the microphone, "we are conducting the emergency liquidation of all industrial assets belonging to the bankrupt Prescott Clan. The lot includes three heavy smelting foundries in Sectors Three and Four, the regional freight transit fleet, and the entire Sector Two deep-water shipping port."
A low murmur ran through the audience.
That deep-water port was the golden goose of Veridia.
It was the only port in the southern territory capable of docking oceanic cargo ships for raw ore and refined metals. Whoever controlled it held a monopoly over the province’s entire trade.
"Because the Prescott Clan’s debts must be settled before the close of business today," the auctioneer continued firmly, "the High Court has established a strict condition. Bids must be backed by immediate, cleared liquid funds. No promissory notes, no bank guarantees, and no deferred financing. The opening reserve price is one billion dollars."
Silence filled the chamber.
One billion dollars in liquid cash on the spot was an astronomical barrier.
A director from an out-of-province syndicate stood up in frustration. "This is absurd! We have the capital in our corporate accounts, but transferring one billion dollars in liquid clearance takes at least three business days through inter-provincial banking clearance! How can anyone pay one billion cash right now?!"
"Those are the court’s terms," the auctioneer replied flatly. "If no one meets the reserve within five minutes, the assets will revert to public receivership."
The chamber erupted into anxious whispers. Guild heads looked at each other helplessly. Everyone wanted the port and foundries, but having a billion dollars of cleared cash sitting ready in a single account was practically impossible.
From the rear entrance of the chamber, the double oak doors swung open.
Evren walked down the center aisle with his hands resting comfortably in his pockets. Amber walked at his right side, carrying the leather folder containing the Sterling seal, while Mikay followed a step behind.
The room turned to look at them. Murmurs broke out immediately.
"It’s Chairman Evren..."
"He just took down Prescott and Sterling two days ago..."
Evren walked straight down to the front podium and stopped in front of the auctioneer.
"Apex Sovereign Conglomerate places the opening reserve bid," Evren said in a calm, clear voice. "One billion dollars."
The auctioneer blinked, his hand pausing over the gavel. "Chairman Evren, as stated in the court order, the opening bid must be backed by immediate liquid clearance through the municipal banking desk."
Evren nodded calmly as he reached for his card in his pockets, handing it over to the banker’s desk.
The banker inserted the card into the secure government escrow terminal and handed it to ener his pin.
For three tense seconds, the system processed the high-value wire.
Then, the banker’s private screen flashed bright green, followed by a soft chime:
[APEX NATIONAL BANK — SOVEREIGN CLEARANCE VERIFIED]
[ESCROW SETTLEMENT APPROVED: $1,000,000,000.00 USD TRANSFERRED TO CITY TREASURY.]
At the same moment, Evren’s phone vibrated in his pocket with a notification:
*ACCOUNT DEBIT: -$1,000,000,000.00 USD | REMAINING BALANCE: $10,745,197,542.50 USD.*
On the large digital screen behind the stage, the status flipped from yellow to bright green:
[OFFICIAL BID VERIFIED: $1,000,000,000.00 USD — APEX SOVEREIGN CONGLOMERATE]
The banker gasped, adjusting his glasses in disbelief as he looked at the verified treasury confirmation.
"The... the funds are cleared in full," the banker announced into his microphone. "One billion dollars has been received into the treasury account."
The entire chamber fell completely dead silent.
The out-of-province directors stared at Evren as if looking at a ghost. One billion dollars in cold cash, dropped without blinking an eye.
The auctioneer gripped his gavel with shaking fingers. "One billion dollars going once... going twice..."
BANG!
"Sold to Apex Sovereign Conglomerate!"
Amber let out a quiet breath beside Evren, a proud, brilliant smile on her face. Mikay immediately stepped up to the clerk’s table with his pen ready to sign the official transfer titles.
With that single strike of the gavel, the final pillar of the old regime fell.
Evren remembered sitting across from Lord Alistair in the high-rise glass lounge just weeks ago, when the old patriarch had tapped his cane and boasted that without his Sector Two shipping docks and Sector Four foundries, Apex’s wealth was a castle built on sand.
Evren had told him then: If your docks refuse to move my cargo, I will simply buy the docks. If your foundries refuse to process my ores, I will buy every foundry right out from under your family.
Today, that promise was completely fulfilled. Veridia’s foundries, mines, transport lines, and shipping docks were now entirely unified under Apex.

Twenty minutes later, Evren and Amber sat in Mayor Henderson’s private office on the top floor of City Hall.
Mayor Henderson poured two glasses of sparkling water and set them on the mahogany coffee table. He looked at Evren with a respectful expression.
"In thirty years of public service," Mayor Henderson said, shaking his head, "I have never seen anyone dismantle an entrenched criminal dynasty and stabilize an entire province in less than a month. You didn’t just win, Evren. You saved this city from total economic collapse."
"We built Apex to protect our people, Mayor," Evren said. "And we keep our promises."
Evren took out his smartphone, opened his secure banking portal, and keyed in the account credentials for the newly registered Apex Sovereign Relief Foundation.
With a few taps, he authorized the wire transfer.
PING.
[PERSONAL SOVEREIGN ACCOUNT TRANSFER COMPLETE.]
[AMOUNT SENT: $50,000,000.00 USD TO APEX SOVEREIGN RELIEF FOUNDATION.]
[NEW LIQUID BALANCE: $10,695,197,542.50 USD.]
Across the desk, Mayor Henderson’s tablet chimed. The Mayor looked down at the notification and exhaled slowly.
"Fifty million dollars cash," Henderson murmured, looking up with genuine warmth in his eyes. "This will fund full medical pensions for every crippled worker in Sector One, and provide emergency hazard bonuses to all four thousand miners before the week is over. The city won’t forget what you did today, Evren."
"Make sure the funds go directly into the workers’ hands, Mayor," Evren said calmly, standing up. "Mikay will audit the ledgers personally."
"You have my word," Henderson said, shaking Evren’s hand firmly.
—
That evening, a calm, peaceful quiet settled over Victoria Hill. Inside Imperial Crest Manor, the lights in the grand study were warm and inviting.
On the polished mahogany mantelpiece above the fireplace, two items now rested side by side: the glowing moonstone tea set that belonged to Amber’s mother, and the jade-and-silver Sterling Ancestral Patriarch Seal.
Amber stood by the fireplace, looking at the heirloom pieces with satisfaction.
The front door clicked, and Zephyra entered the study carrying a silver tray with three cups of steaming jasmine tea. Her charcoal silk robe flowed around her, and her hands were steady, completely free of tremors.
"You’ve been staring at that mantelpiece for an hour, Amber," Zephyra said with a faint, rare smile, setting the tray on the low table.
Amber turned around, chuckling softly. "I’m just making sure it’s real. For years, I thought I would die before I ever saw my mother’s legacy restored."
Zephyra handed Amber a teacup. "It’s real. Everything in this house is real."
Amber looked at Zephyra. "Thank you, Zephyra. For guarding us at the gala. For everything."
Zephyra shook her head gently. "I spent over ten years living as an assassin in the dark, and for the last four months I was just waiting for the poisoned veins to kill me. In this house, I found a sister, and a master who gave me my life back. Protecting this home is my honor."
Evren walked in from the adjoining library, taking the third cup of tea from the tray. He looked at both women standing together.
There was no tension between them. No jealousy, and no division. Only mutual devotion, trust, and unshakeable loyalty under his roof.
In the corner of Evren’s vision, the system interface glowed faintly with soft golden light:
[HOUSEHOLD HARMONY PROGRESS: 65% ➔ 85%...]
[RESONANCE BETWEEN ACTIVE HEROINES DEEPENING...]
[PATH TO 1,000x GLOBAL MULTIPLIER: PROGRESSING SMOOTHLY.]
Evren took a slow sip of the hot tea, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment.
Less than a month ago, he was freezing in the rain, scraping pennies together on a delivery bike.
Today, he possessed over ten billion dollars in liquid cash, two hundred billion in his system vault, an entire unified province under his command, and two incredible women who trusted him with their lives.
Suddenly, the intercom on the study desk chimed.
Arthur’s voice came through the speaker: "Chairman Evren. An official courier from the Provincial Governor’s office has just arrived at the front gates. He carries an emergency dispatch with an imperial seal from the Capital."
Evren set his teacup down. "Send him in, Arthur."
A minute later, a uniformed military officer in a gray high-collared coat stepped into the study. He snapped to attention, saluting Evren.
"Chairman Evren," the officer stated, holding out a dark red velvet folder sealed with the golden double-headed dragon crest of the Imperial Ministry of Defense. "An emergency directive from the Imperial Capital."
Evren took the folder, breaking the wax seal and pulling out the parchment document.
Amber and Zephyra stepped closer to his side as Evren scanned the formal lines:
To Chairman Evren of Apex Conglomerate and Sovereign Guardian of Veridia Province:
By order of the Grand Arbiter Tribunal and the Imperial Ministry of Defense, you are hereby summoned to the Imperial Capital to attend the National Sovereign Guild Assembly.
Recent seismic fluctuations have confirmed synchronized energy anomalies across every high-rank dimensional rift on the continent. The ancient barriers are thinning. The Imperial High Council is convening the sovereign leaders of all twelve provinces to divide national defense zones and allocate newly designated S-Rank territory.
Your presence is required in the Capital in thirty days.
Evren slowly folded the imperial directive.
The small pond of Veridia was completely conquered. The local tyrants were dead or imprisoned, the city’s trade was unified, and his household was secure.
Now, the empire itself was calling.
Amber looked at the golden crest on the parchment, then looked up at Evren. "Are we going back to the Capital?"
Evren looked out through the tall glass doors of the terrace with a smile playing on his lips. "Yes. Veridia is secure. It’s time to see what the Capital has in store for us."
