Pampered by My Secret Husband

Chapter 1384 - 1386: Is It True That You Men Only Cherish Things After Losing Them?

Gaby walked over to this side of the bed and howled at Thomas Shannon, who frowned and said, "Stop it, do you want to wake her up?"

Gaby stared at him unblinkingly, and after a few seconds of locking eyes, Gaby finally wobbled over to Sophie’s bedside and lay down to sleep.

With light movements, Thomas Shannon lay down and extended his arm, pulling Sophie’s body into his embrace.

She was in a deep sleep, and even so, she showed no signs of waking up.

Thomas Shannon gently stroked her cheek, lightly pecked her soft red lips with his thin lips, said "Good night," and fell asleep holding her.

During this sleep, the two of them slept exceptionally soundly.

A good night’s sleep without dreams, and the next day, Sophie languidly awoke, feeling her arm was a bit numb.

She looked at the man lying beside her and pushed him, "Thomas Shannon, let go."

Are you crazy, hugging so tightly even while sleeping!

Thomas Shannon opened his eyes, and after a brief moment of confusion, his deep eyes quickly focused, "What’s wrong?"

"My arm’s numb... let go quickly."

Thomas Shannon immediately released his grip and took her arm, "Is it this arm?"

Sophie reluctantly nodded.

Thomas Shannon held her arm and slowly started to massage it. Sophie daintily yawned, and her beautiful eyes were filled with a mist of water.

She looked somewhat pitiful in a way.

Unable to resist, Thomas Shannon lowered his head and lightly pecked her soft cheek.

"Why haven’t you left yet?" Sophie glanced at him, abruptly breaking the existing harmonious atmosphere.

"No rush." To distract her, Thomas Shannon deliberately brought up the matter of Fluffy Zane: "Do you know about Fluffy Zane’s affair?"

"What?"

"Her wedding with Harrison Moore."

Sophie recalled Fluffy Zane’s expression at that time—it was serious.

"She didn’t tell me when the wedding was, she probably doesn’t want me to be there either."

No love in the marriage, so why invite all the friends to bless her?

"Lan Singh also had an incident on the day of Fluffy Zane’s marriage," Thomas Shannon casually said while attentively massaging her arm.

What could have happened to William Guillen?

Sophie sneered disdainfully, "He simply saw Fluffy get married, the woman who’s been chasing him all along suddenly marries another man in the blink of an eye, and he’s just feeling unbalanced. He’s just crying over nothing, lacking sympathy."

Clearly, she had a huge prejudice against William Guillen, and Thomas Shannon wasn’t foolish enough to argue with her over this matter.

He only casually remarked, "On the day of Fluffy Zane’s marriage, at her wedding, William Guillen fainted from heartbreak."

"Serves him right." Sophie felt no emotional stirrings and even found it somewhat laughable, "Eight years isn’t enough for him to see his heart clearly? Only after losing, one immediately awakens?"

Thomas Shannon found himself speechless.

"Thomas Shannon, are all you men like this, only realizing the value after losing something?" Sophie suspiciously stared at him.

Thomas Shannon lightly coughed and seriously corrected her, "Please don’t include ’you men,’ others are others, and I am me."

"You are you, fireworks of a different color, even set yourself on fire by looking, right?" Sophie squinted with a faint smile, teasing him for once in a rare good mood.

Thomas Shannon held her chin, shook it lightly from side to side, and sighed helplessly yet dotingly, "You..."

Sophie withdrew her arm and tapped his brow with her index finger, "So, don’t be like William Guillen, realize the value only after losing something."
