Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1218 - 1220: Thomas Shannon Is No Good Person
She stepped forward, touching Lucifer’s face with one hand, "Lucifer, are you sick?"
"Cecilia, don’t go."
"Why?"
"I don’t want you to go. Thomas Shannon is not a good person." Lucifer held her hand and pulled her into his embrace.
Thomas Shannon, who had hung up the phone, heard Lucifer’s words and snorted coldly. Soon Sophie would be pregnant, and then he would know he was a downright bad person.
With his chin resting on the top of Sophie’s head, Lucifer affectionately rubbed against her, whispering, "Cecilia, I don’t like Thomas Shannon."
"Why?"
"He’s not a good person."
Sophie chuckled, pulling away from his embrace, "Lucifer, in a way, if it weren’t for Thomas Shannon, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I might have already been tormented into a real madwoman in the asylum. As for me and Thomas Shannon... let’s leave it at that."
The harm he did to her could not be erased, but neither could she deny the good he did for her.
If he were willing to help her instead of collaborating with Andres, she would be grateful to him.
Lucifer’s eyes darkened. Indeed, Cecilia’s heart had been snatched away by that wolf, Thomas Shannon.
Snatched away wasn’t enough; now this fool Cecilia wanted to head into Thomas Shannon’s wolf nest all by herself.
What good could possibly come from being targeted by that wolf?
"Cecilia..."
Sophie hugged Lucifer, "Alright Lucifer, it’s getting late; I really have to go."
Saying that, she already grabbed Harry, who had been chased by Gaby until he was exhausted and collapsed on the sofa, "I’m leaving first, good night dear."
Lucifer raised his hand, holding his head as if in pain. He exchanged a glance with Gaby, "Hey, Gaby, we’ve both been abandoned."
Gaby affectionately rubbed against him, jumped onto the sofa, and rested his head on Lucifer’s legs, watching as his master left with the kitten Harry.
......
Country A.
William Guillen indeed sent Fluffy Zane to Thomas Shannon’s manor medical office, having the doctor thoroughly examine her to confirm that her recovery from her injuries was good, only then did he rest assured.
After listening to the doctor’s words, William Guillen went to Edward Benson’s room to visit him.
He knocked on the door, and after getting permission, he pushed the door open.
Edward Benson lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts.
William Guillen looked around, only spotting a nurse but not finding any trace of Isla Stanley.
He frowned, asking, "Where is Isla?"
"Young Master Guillen, Miss Stanley... has already left."
"Left?" What do you mean by left?
The nurse nodded cautiously, glancing apprehensively at Edward Benson, and finally whispered, "It was Young Master Benson who drove Miss Stanley away."
Edward Benson drove Isla away?
This was inconceivable to the extreme.
William Guillen waved his hand, signaling the nurse to leave first, which she did immediately, closing the door behind her.
William Guillen approached the bedside, hooked a chair with his long legs, sat down, folded his arms across his chest, and asked in bewilderment, "Edward, why did you drive Isla away?"
Edward Benson took a long time to come back to his senses, having been too immersed in his own world. Only when William Guillen pushed him did he snap out of it, looking dazed at William Guillen as if realizing he was there.
"Lan Singh, you’re here."
William Guillen was deeply concerned seeing him in such a state.
