Chapter 421: Temple Master Ning's Hobbies, Those Who Know, Know

  • Next Chapter

"Ning Fei, are you also here to look for the Meteorite?"

Ning Fei was just about to head out to find the Meteorite when a voice nearby called out to him.

Ning Fei turned his head and saw Big Gold Tooth from the village. Since one of his front teeth was gold, everyone in the village called him that.

Even after all these years, Ning Fei still had no idea what Big Gold Tooth's real name was.

"Yeah, just coming out to take a look."

Ning Fei replied politely.

"This Meteorite is hard to find. Someone saw it fall in this area last night, but we've been walking around here for hours and haven't seen a single trace of it."

Big Gold Tooth shook his head, speaking with frustration.

"Yeah, it all depends on luck."

Ning Fei gave a standard response, not revealing any extra information.

"Ning Fei, I heard you're incredibly capable now. You know immortal arts and raise a dragon king. Can you find this Meteorite? Where do you think it fell?"

It was obvious that Big Gold Tooth was trying to fish for information. He figured Ning Fei might have a clue.

Ning Fei simply said, "Just keep searching like this. It's all about luck."

He was unwilling to say more.

Big Gold Tooth had an average reputation in the village at best. He valued profit above all else and would happily harm others to benefit himself. On the surface, he was all smiles, but behind people's backs, he had stolen vegetables from their gardens and taken their chickens—he had done it all.

Then, Ning Fei walked straight toward the back of the mountain.

Seeing that Ning Fei was ignoring him, Big Gold Tooth's expression shifted slightly.

He had come to this area at three in the morning and searched the whole place, but he hadn't seen even a shadow of the Meteorite.

However, he had a feeling that Ning Fei seemed to know exactly where the Meteorite was.

Therefore, he decided to quietly follow Ning Fei, hoping he might get the chance to snatch it first.

Ning Fei did not pay him much mind.

He hurried all the way toward the back mountain.

This mountain was mostly covered in bamboo groves and trees, lush and green everywhere.

Logically speaking, if a Meteorite fell, the intense friction and the high temperature of the rock could easily start a forest fire.

However, the surrounding trees showed absolutely no signs of being affected.

Moreover, there was no river on the mountain, so the Meteorite hadn't fallen into the water either.

"The place where the Meteorite landed this time is quite strange."

"It's no wonder so many people came looking but couldn't find it."

Ning Fei said to the viewers in his live stream as he walked along the path.

"Temple Master Ning, from the sound of it, have you already found the Meteorite?"

"That amazing? I saw so many people looking for it along the way."

"It can't be that easy, right? It's not like digging for wild vegetables."

"Trust in Temple Master Ning's Treasure-Hunting Physique."

"At this point, I believe whatever Temple Master Ning says."

The viewers discussed among themselves.

Ning Fei continued all the way up the mountain.

The peak of this mountain was not a regular cone shape; rather, half of it was a slope and the other half was a cliff.

Trailing behind him, Big Gold Tooth saw Ning Fei heading toward the peak. He seemed to realize something and said in surprise, "Could the Meteorite have fallen onto the cliff? No wonder people couldn't find it."

"How does this kid know?"

Big Gold Tooth's guess was correct.

Ning Fei stood at the edge of the cliff, then controlled the drone to fly downward. He could also use his mobile phone to view the footage captured by the drone.

Sure enough, the viewers in the live stream immediately spotted the Meteorite.

The Meteorite was wedged tightly into a crevice in the mountain face. The surrounding rocks bore black scorch marks from the heat.

That Meteorite was larger than imagined, roughly the size of a basketball.

"It is the Meteorite!"

"Oh my god, the Meteorite is right here!"

"Temple Master Ning is simply too incredible! He stepped out and found a Meteorite on his first try!"

"How much can a Meteorite this big sell for?"

"A conservative estimate would be no less than five million."

"There are a lot of people who love collecting this kind of thing. You're underestimating the wealthy people in Huaxia too much!"

"Five million? This is a shooting star from yesterday's meteor shower. You can make a wish on it! How could it only sell for five million?"

"A conservative estimate would be twenty to thirty million!"

"Temple Master Ning struck it rich again!"

The viewers exclaimed in amazement.

It was truly miraculous.

So many people had been searching for the Meteorite, unable to find it even with a carpet search, yet Ning Fei had come over and headed straight for the target.

It was like searching for the Dragon Balls. Everyone else was searching blindly, while Kakarot just walked up with the Dragon Radar and found one right away.

However, an even more serious problem followed.

How was Ning Fei going to retrieve this Meteorite?

The cliff face of this mountain had a negative incline. That meant if one were to free climb it, their body would be suspended in the air with almost no support for their feet.

Furthermore, the cliff was hundreds of meters high. A single glance down would make an ordinary person's legs go weak. Who would dare rock climb in such a place?

If he went back to get climbing equipment, it would be too late. On his way here, he had seen some people carrying climbing ropes.

Standing behind him, Big Gold Tooth saw Ning Fei's posture and knew that nine times out of ten, the Meteorite was on the cliff.

He immediately rushed toward the cliff in a frenzied panic.

"The place where the Meteorite landed is about twenty meters away from here. It's not too far."

Ning Fei stretched his body slightly, and then, he leaped right off the cliff.

This action instantly shocked the viewers into a cold sweat!

Behind him, Big Gold Tooth's face was also filled with horror, looking as if he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Holy shit!"

"Temple Master Ning jumped off the cliff!"

Amidst everyone's exclamations, they looked closely again.

The five fingers of Ning Fei's right hand were firmly gripping the edge of the cliff, while his other hand hung in the void, his entire body suspended in mid-air.

This scene left the viewers at a loss for words. They could only use "holy shit" to express the shock in their hearts.

In reality, Ning Fei's current physical fitness had long surpassed that of ordinary people. To him, rock climbing was a piece of cake.

"Rock climbing demands extremely high finger and arm strength."

"In rock climbing documentaries, those top-tier climbers can easily do pull-ups just using their fingers."

"Supporting the entire body with one hand is just a basic move."

"Rock climbing is a little hobby of mine, so I can do it too."

Ning Fei added slowly.

"A hobby."

"Temple Master Ning's hobbies, those who know, know."

"Yeah, calligraphy, painting, and carving are all just hobbies to him—hobbies that are at the level of repairing cultural relics in the Forbidden City."

"The gap between people is simply too huge!"

Then, Ning Fei prepared to climb downward.

In truth, climbing down was somewhat harder than climbing up.

Because when descending, the downward force was very direct. If one couldn't maintain a steady grip, they would immediately plunge.

Ning Fei lightly tapped his left foot against a protruding rock, gave his body a slight swing, and then hooked two fingers of his left hand into a depression before his right hand naturally followed suit.

Relying on the core strength of his arms, abdomen, and waist, Ning Fei adjusted his body into a balanced posture.

His movements were fast, flowing like water, and completed in one breath.

The viewers were dumbfounded.

This sight was simply too shocking!

With the drone filming from above, everyone could clearly see just how steep this cliff was.

The cliff, hundreds of meters high, was like an abyss. Just looking at it was enough to make one's legs weak and break out in a cold sweat, let alone climbing it!

"This is just a hobby?"

"This is definitely a master-level rock climber!"

"Too strong!"

"Absolutely invincible!"

This section of the cliff had many protruding rocks that hands and feet could leverage, so the climb wasn't actually that difficult.

Ning Fei continuously climbed downward until he reached the spot where the Meteorite was.

This Meteorite was embedded very deeply into the mountain.

Clinging to the rock with his right hand, Ning Fei reached out with his left and pulled the Meteorite out in one go.

He placed the Meteorite into his knapsack.

Then, he once again put on a thrilling display of his rock-climbing skills.

In the end, he hooked both hands over the edge of the cliff, forcefully pushed his chest up, and executed an inverted flip, swinging his body up from below the precipice.

His sudden appearance gave Big Gold Tooth, who had just hurried over, a massive fright.

Ning Fei patted the dust off his body, gazed down at the hundreds of meters high cliff, and chuckled softly as he said, "Not bad. Thrilling, but no real danger."
