Chapter 405: Doom Island Giant Gorilla vs. the God of Huaxia!
Deep within Doom Island, close to the island's center.
The scenery here was exceptionally unique.
Bizarrely shaped giant trees intertwined their roots, their sprawling canopies blotting out the sky, while a riot of wildflowers and wild fruits grew with reckless abandon.
Ning Fei walked through the dense foliage, looking slightly out of place in such a wild setting.
The viewers watched the broadcast.
Everyone was tense.
The scenery was beautiful, but few had the presence of mind to appreciate it. Their attention was entirely focused on the danger that could strike at any moment.
Ning Fei, however, remained completely calm.
"The deeper we go, the fewer species we see."
"There are hardly any animals left out here.""No sloths, no venomous snakes—not even a single water bird."
"It is a bit bizarre."
"Logically, the oxygen levels in these deep sections are abundant—it's like a natural oxygen bar. There should be far more animals thriving here."
Ning Fei murmured as he scanned his surroundings.
The jungle was dead silent.
It was an unnatural silence. The occasional chirp of a lone insect only made the stillness feel even more eerie.
Watching the stream felt exactly like the tense buildup in a horror movie right before the monster finally revealed itself.
"I don't even dare to watch what happens next."
"Ning Guan master, run!"
"Stop going deeper! There's a giant gorilla in there!"
"Is this a horror stream now?!"
"Honestly, I think Ning Guan master could beat that gorilla in a fight."
"Even if he could beat one, we're talking about a whole troop here! Nobody can survive being hunted by a troop of giant gorillas!"
Meanwhile, Ning Fei noticed the sheer abundance of fruit in the area.
Wild mangoes and bananas grew everywhere he looked.
He took a few steps forward.
Just then, Ning Fei spotted a massive muddy footprint pressed into the dirt.
He crouched down.
"There's a footprint right here."
Ning Fei roughly measured the length of the print with his hand.
"This print is massive. It looks like a size 50 shoe, which is even bigger than an NBA player's foot."
"What's more, the shape of the print is vaguely human."
"Is there a giant living out here?"
Ning Fei muttered softly.
"It's not a giant, it's a giant gorilla!"
"He finally noticed it!"
Seeing Ning Fei uncover the beast's tracks, the viewers finally breathed a small sigh of relief.
At the very least, he now knew there was danger nearby and could prepare himself.
Yet, Ning Fei's expression didn't shift at all. He simply stood up and continued walking deeper into the jungle.
"I never expected to find a print like this so deep on the island. We might just stumble upon an entirely new species."
He sounded utterly unbothered.
"What is he doing?"
"Why isn't he running?!"
Confusion flooded the chat.
He had just found the tracks of a giant beast. Any normal person would immediately turn around and sprint back the way they came.
Why was he still pressing forward?
The Wilderness Survival Production Crew was simultaneously broadcasting Ning Fei's camera feed.
International viewers were practically vibrating with excitement. They gripped their popcorn on their couches, shouting wildly at the screens like a troop of gorillas themselves.
Finally, a strange noise echoed through Ning Fei's Live-stream Room.
Ning Fei stopped dead in his tracks.
"Something is moving."
"What is it?"
Ning Fei looked toward the source of the noise.
Just then, Little falcon swooped down from the canopy, letting out a sharp, piercing shriek to warn Ning Fei of the danger ahead.
Up ahead, the branches of a massive tree began violently shaking.
It was as if some enormous behemoth was rushing through the canopy!
Then, the terrifying sight everyone had been bracing themselves for finally revealed itself!
A colossal gorilla lunged out from the dense foliage not far away. Gripping a thick trunk with a single hand, it swung its massive body down.
"Boom!"
It slammed onto the ground, kicking up a violent cloud of dust.
"It's here!"
"It's the giant gorilla!"
"My god, that thing is terrifying!"
"I can't believe there's a gorilla this massive deep in the Tropical Rainforest!"
"Good lord, is this Skull Island or something? Are we looking at King Kong?!"
The viewership ratings for Ning Fei's Live-stream Room and the Wilderness Survival Production Crew immediately skyrocketed at a terrifying rate.
The scene playing out in front of Ning Fei had completely exceeded everyone's wildest imaginations.
This exact frame was broadcasting simultaneously to screens all over the globe.
Some viewers were panicking, some were thrilled, others were howling with excitement like gorillas themselves, while many were desperately worried for Ning Fei's safety.
Slowly, the drone's camera panned over to focus on Ning Fei.
The audience waited to see his reaction.
Everyone expected him to show the exact same terror that Kofi had.
However, Ning Fei's expression twisted into one of sheer excitement.
"I struck gold! I can't believe there's a gorilla this massive out here!"
"Currently, the largest known gorillas in the world live near the equator in Africa."
"Those gorillas can reach a standing height of about two point two meters and weigh anywhere between 130 to 280 kilograms—easily over twice the weight of an adult human."
"Gorillas like that are intensely aggressive! They could rip a person apart with ease."
"But the one standing right in front of me is at least two point six or two point seven meters tall—it's pushing three meters!"
"I never would have guessed a creature like this existed on this island!"
Staring up at the towering black gorilla, Ning Fei was absolutely fascinated.
He had just discovered an entirely new species!
The Doom Island Giant Gorilla!
Ning Fei's faint smile, unbothered demeanor, tranquil eyes, and casual tone were magnified across the broadcast.
Watching his reaction, the entire audience went utterly numb.
The viewers from Huaxia were already somewhat used to Ning Fei being so incredibly chill.
"He really is an immortal. Always showing off that ethereal immortal demeanor!"
"I was going to tell Ning Guan master to run, but clearly I was overthinking it."
"If you ask me, the gorilla is the one who should be running!"
The international viewers, however, were absolutely losing their minds.
When Kofi first spotted the beast, his immediate reaction had been to hit his emergency flare button to forfeit the competition before sprinting for his life.
That was exactly how a human should react when faced with a towering monster!
It was only thanks to Kofi's extensive wilderness survival experience that he survived. A normal person wouldn't even know how they died against a gorilla like that!
"Oh my god! What is this guy from Huaxia doing?!"
"How is he so calm?!"
"Does he know he's going to die and just gave up on fighting back?"
"That is NOT the face of someone who gave up!"
"I'm literally shaking right now!"
"I'm standing on my chair! Doom Island Giant Gorilla vs. the God of Huaxia, this is insane!"
The massive black gorilla locked eyes with Ning Fei.
It had to be said, a beast of this magnitude exuded a suffocating aura of pressure.
Its entire body rippled with raw muscle; its colossal chest looked like it was forged from steel plating.
There was no doubt that a creature like this could slaughter a lion or a tiger with terrifying ease.
"Roar!"
The gorilla threw its head back and unleashed a deafening roar into the sky, violently pounding its chest with both fists.
It was gearing up to launch a devastating attack!
Ning Fei's expression shifted, breaking out into a wide grin.
Then, under the stunned gazes of millions of viewers, Ning Fei drove his Longsword straight into the dirt and tossed his satchel to the side.
Standing completely barehanded, he cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders.
"Alright, big guy. Since you want to play, I'll play with you!"
