Chapter 344: Hainan Villa, Custom Cruise Ship
Before heading to the sea, Ning Fei rested for another day at the Deer Sanctuary.
At night, he slept deep within the sanctuary's palace, in his own private room.
Jiang Xue kept a close eye on the Deer Sanctuary's daily affairs, and also helped manage the revenue from Ning Fei's short video accounts and other matters.
Having things to keep her busy improved Jiang Xue's complexion day by day, and she had become Ning Fei's capable assistant.
During the day, Ning Fei stood in the Deer Sanctuary's gardens holding a handful of leaves, while seven or eight fawns happily munched away right in front of him.
Seeing so many lively sika deer put him in a great mood.
"Temple Master, where are you heading for this voyage?"
Jiang Xue asked from the side.
"For this trip, I plan to visit the South China Sea and the Spratly Islands first," Ning Fei said.
The South China Sea lay south of Huaxia, a vast expanse of ocean belonging to the nation.Ning Fei remembered a question his junior high geography teacher had once asked the class:
Among all the provinces in Huaxia, which one spans the greatest range of latitude?
Simply put, looking at the flat map of Huaxia in their textbook, which province occupied the widest vertical block of grids.
Everyone answered enthusiastically.
Some guessed Inner Mongolia, some said Heilongjiang, and others suggested Xizang.
Amid all those noisy guesses, only Ning Fei answered, "Hainan."
Hearing his answer, a few classmates snickered.
On the map, Hainan was just a tiny island. How could it possibly be wider than provinces like Heilongjiang or Inner Mongolia?
It seemed even the top student in the class could make mistakes.
While everyone was whispering and discussing, the teacher looked at Ning Fei and smiled as he revealed the correct answer.
"That is correct. The province in Huaxia that spans the greatest latitude is Hainan."
"Hainan Province consists of more than just a single island. The South China Sea and the Spratly Islands below it all belong to this province."
Only upon hearing the teacher's explanation did everyone look at the map again.
That was the first time the students truly looked at the oceans on Huaxia's map.
Normally, when people looked at the map of Huaxia, they only saw the shape of a rooster and the layout of the inland provinces.
However, the country also possessed a massive expanse of territorial waters that were easily overlooked.
For the first stop of his voyage, Ning Fei intended to explore the South China Sea.
"The Spratly Islands... It's a beautiful name, but I've never actually seen them in person," Jiang Xue said, standing beside him.
Ning Fei smiled. "Most of them are tiny deserted islands. Aside from the soldiers stationed at the borders to protect the country, almost no one ever goes there."
"I just want to get a close look at the ocean, so heading there first is perfect."
Right then, Xiao Yu the Deer came bounding over.
Its antlers were growing larger, now sporting two small nubs that looked crystal clear and exceptionally pure.
"Xiao Yu is the mascot of the Deer Sanctuary now. Everyone loves it," Jiang Xue noted.
Ning Fei nodded. "Yeah, it really is adorable."
After resting for one more day at the Deer Sanctuary, Ning Fei loaded up his car with supplies and drove straight toward Hainan.
He chose to take a ferry to reach the island.
This meant driving all the way to Haian Port in Zhanjiang City, then boarding a ferry to transport his car over to Hainan.
Because of his high popularity, some of the paperwork and procedures were processed very quickly.
It did not take long before he was driving onto Hainan Island, heading straight for the Hainan Villa that Bai Yuanche had left for him.
This ocean-view villa sat close to the sea, fully equipped with a swimming pool, a garage, and a courtyard. It was quite grand.
Because the property was so large, Ning Fei had specially hired a few cleaners to maintain the villa before he moved in.
The rest of the amenities were fine, but the courtyard was truly exceptional. It was planted with a wide variety of lush greenery, and Ning Fei absolutely loved it.
Moreover, the villa was not located in popular tourist hotspots like Haikou or Sanya. Instead, it was situated in a slightly more remote small city, making the environment incredibly peaceful.
The sea was still the same sea.
But this place lacked the bustling crowds of tourists and the busy locals rushing about for business, which gave it an extraordinary tranquility.
The people of Qingfeng Temple had never liked noisy cities anyway.
Ning Fei pulled out of the garage and opened his car doors. The little ones immediately rushed out in excitement.
"Little Fox, go find a suitable spot for everyone to use the bathroom, then report back to me."
Ning Fei gave the order to the Little Fox.
Pets using the bathroom had always been one of the more troublesome aspects of keeping animals.
However, this was not a big issue for Ning Fei. After all, his pets were all highly intelligent. As long as the Little Fox led the way, the others would go to the designated spot to do their business.
The villa was not overly massive—just a two-story house, a small courtyard, a swimming pool, and an assortment of decorative plants.
For one person and several animals, a place like this suited Ning Fei perfectly.
Ning Fei familiarized himself with the villa's layout first, then made his way to the back of the property.
This villa came with its own private dock.
Directly behind it lay the boundless, vast ocean.
At this moment, it was dusk. The sun was setting, just about to touch the horizon.
Seeing such a magnificent scene, Ning Fei turned on his live stream.
Netizens immediately flooded into the broadcast room.
They were greeted by an unforgettable sight.
Ning Fei was sitting on an observation deck in the backyard, lounging in a sun chair and facing the distant sunset.
On the far side of the sea, the sun sank bit by bit, looking as if it were being swallowed by the water.
All the little animals of Qingfeng Temple were there.
They were keeping Ning Fei company as they all enjoyed the ocean sunset together.
Seeing the vast ocean, the Little Dog ran to the end of the dock and let out a wolf-like howl at the sea.
"Awooo~"
It was an incredibly amusing scene.
Ning Fei gathered the Little Fox and the three little black cats into his arms. He did not speak, simply appreciating the distant scenery in silence.
"That is too beautiful!"
The netizens gasped in awe.
"I didn't expect a sunset over the sea to look this gorgeous."
"Temple Master Ning's life really makes people envious!"
"I want to hold a bunch of cute pets and watch the sunset dip below the horizon like that too."
"This is absolutely a godly scene."
"I feel like my mind has completely calmed down."
The bullet comments were full of praise for the stunning view in the stream.
Watching it through a video screen felt completely different from seeing it in real life.
For outdoor enthusiasts, taking in a sight like this provided an exceptional level of relaxation for both body and mind.
Nature inherently possessed the power to purify the soul.
Many people were also asking questions.
"Temple Master Ning, where is this?"
"Yeah, we really want to go visit too."
However, Ning Fei did not answer their questions.
He felt it was better to keep his itinerary a secret for now.
"The custom cruise ship I ordered will arrive tomorrow."
"I'll be sailing it out to the South China Sea."
"I'll start streaming for everyone again when the time comes."
After watching the sunset for a little longer, Ning Fei turned off the live stream and went inside the villa to get to work.
The little ones' pet houses still needed to be set up properly.
Wherever Ning Fei went, he always made sure his pets had a comfortable place to stay.
At the same time, Ning Fei was exceptionally looking forward to the cruise ship arriving tomorrow.
The quality of the items rewarded by the System for completing quests would naturally not be bad.
The next day, Ning Fei turned on the live stream as usual.
He was working out on a designated resting platform in the villa's backyard.
From time to time, he would gaze out at the endless ocean, as if waiting for something.
"Temple Master Ning, is the ship arriving today?"
"What kind of ship did the Temple Master order?"
"This is my first time watching someone live stream buying a cruise ship. Awesome!"
Everyone chattered away, the discussion highly enthusiastic.
Right then, Ning Fei spotted a large vessel far out on the sea, cutting along the coastline and heading straight in his direction.
The ship's speed was surprisingly fast, slicing through the waves as it advanced.
"It's here!"
Catching sight of the vessel, Ning Fei stood up, eager to see exactly what this ship would look like.
