Chapter 213: Chapter 205: Crimson Satan I

"You must be Arthur; I heard a lot about you from Rias. In fact, you are only thinking about what she currently talks about. " Sirzechs said with a smile as he pretended it was his first time seeing Arthur.

Arthur also didn’t break the play. "It’s nice to meet you too, Sirzechs Lucifer, the Maou."

Sirzechs Lucifer, formerly known as Sirzechs Gremory, was the Satan who was in charge of domestic affairs prior to the events of the Evil Dragon War. Though he appears too laid-back in appearance, he possesses the shrewdness of a leader.

Arthur still remembers that when Sirzechs was born, he floated in the air, releasing the destruction, which was so powerful even when he was a newborn it could disintegrate or deform surrounding furniture and decoration without a trace. None of the doctors could touch him, except Venelana, who held her son and asked her husband Zeoticus what his name would be, to which he replied, "Sirzechs."

In the civil war between the traditional devil and the modern one, Sirzechs had a crush on Grayfai, but things could escalate when Arthur appeared and seduced Grayfia and Serafall. Because even though he is overall a good person, he does have the tendency to make things harder for me.

"I heard from Rias that you are from Nazarick. Is that right?" Sirzechs asked with a smile.

"Yes." Arthur nodded superficially at him, trying to figure out what he was doing.

"Then can I ask your designation? I know that every member in Nazarick has a designation predetermined from birth. So what is yours?"

"He is a high-ranking seer, Brother. Ancient One-sama, send him to me to prevent a future where powerful forces clash, bringing destruction and chaos to this world," Rias said proudly.

"Ancient One did what? Rias, I know Ancient One; I have talked to him face to face. He is one of the disgusting beings in this world; he only cares about himself. And he is not even handsome." Sirzechs said with a straight face.

Arthur just stood there, a tick mark formed on his temples.

[Truth has never said out this loud.] Friday commented.

"Arthur said that the Ancient One is one of the handsome men out there." Rias asked, her head tilted to the side. She was genuinely confused. Arthur described the Ancient One with a novel explanation, a myth unfolded.

"You know Arthur is from Nazarick; everyone from Nazarick is fanatic about the Ancient One. Arthur here is no different. Let me tell you all how exactly the Ancient One looks: he has one cross-eye looking at his own nose and the other looking somewhere else. He has crooked teeth; when he chews on food, his saliva will drip down on his cheeks. His nose is pointy like old ugly witches’ noses. Instead of beauty incarnation, he is ugly incarnation."

[I must admit, sir... truth has rarely been weaponized this efficiently.]

Arthur’s eye twitched again.

Across the table, Rias blinked several times, clearly trying to process the horrifying mental image her brother had just painted. She slowly turned her head toward Arthur, her crimson hair swaying softly with the movement as genuine confusion filled her beautiful blue-green eyes.

"But..." she said carefully, tilting her head. "Arthur described the Ancient One completely differently. He made him sound like some mythical existence... like beauty itself had taken form. Why do you lie to me?"

Sirzechs nodded solemnly, as though discussing tax policy instead of insulting one of the most dangerous beings in existence.

"Exactly my point."

He leaned back in his chair and folded his arms with complete confidence. "That’s what Nazarick does. Extreme loyalty causes extreme delusion."

Arthur’s temple twitched harder.

Asia looked between them nervously, her hands clutching her glass. "U-Um... is it really okay to say those things about someone so powerful?"

Sirzechs smiled warmly at her. "Asia-chan, if someone can’t handle honest criticism, they shouldn’t become a supreme being."

Akeno covered her mouth as soft laughter escaped her lips. "Ara ara... Maou-sama is surprisingly bold."

"Truth is often sounded that way."

"Brother, if that is true, then why do Grayfia-san and Serafall tolerate being with him?" Rias asked with pure curiosity, trying to understand the reason for their extreme loyalty to the Ancient One.

"When you fell in love, you fell hard, Rias. And you will get blinded," Sirzechs said with a small smile. "Isn’t that right, Arthur?"

"I don’t know what you are talking about."
