Chapter 1434: Chapter 1434: The Power of Hatred

"Don’t look at me! This matter is your decision; your will determines their life or death. As for benefits, they’re not important in my eyes," Pei Yan said casually, holding a cigar, facing Lei Youting’s gaze.

The robotic envoy heard this and slowly turned its head, its words automatically translated into the magic plane’s common language, coldly and ruthlessly destroying Billbom’s last shred of hope.

"My condition is that I want all members of the Vlad Clan to die!"

Billbom listened to these words and stood stunned, still hearing Moira’s sobs after laughing almost breathlessly. Now he finally understood why she laughed—she had long known this robotic envoy would give such an answer.

"Mr. Pei Yan, you’re not playing with me, are you? This robotic envoy is you, right?" Billbom snapped back to reality and angrily confronted Pei Yan for the first time.

Pei Yan shrugged and sneered, "I certainly have an element of teasing you, but not on this issue. Anyone here can testify for me. Within this robotic envoy, there is another soul. She is the origin of all the grievances between us. As long as she agrees to let you go, I have no objections."

When Pei Yan’s words seemed sincere, Billbom looked at the robotic envoy and then at Moira, who had ceased laughing and lay in despair on the ground. He finally remembered the origins of the Vlad Clan’s and the Investigation Department’s grievances. He then turned to the robotic envoy and tentatively asked, "Are you the girl whose body was taken by Cai Peishen?"

"Yes! That’s me!" Lei Youting fearlessly replied head-on.

Upon hearing the definitive answer, Billbom felt a chill down his spine. Asking the opponent for forgiveness for such a soul-stealing hate was like climbing to the heavens, but for the survival of the clan, he could only grit his teeth and plead, "I truly sympathize with your plight, but what’s done is done. We’re willing to do our best to make amends! We’ll hand over the main culprits and other direct relatives who harmed you to be disposed of as you wish. If you want to reshape your body and find a host, we can arrange that too! Whatever kind of bloodline physique you want, we can find it!"

"I don’t need your sympathy. I just want to see your annihilation!" Lei Youting still stubbornly and clearly expressed her desire.

Faced with such determination, Billbom understood its resoluteness, and in despair he couldn’t hold back his questioning: "Why? Why like this? Isn’t there anything negotiable? Must all our clan members accompany this event down to the grave? Do you know how many people are in this castle right now? One thousand two hundred and thirteen! There are young girls like you in their prime, who’ve never seen you, who don’t even know the origin of this enmity, yet must die because of it. How great must the hatred be to involve so many people?"

"Hey! Let me tell you to stop this..." Pei Yan frowned as he raised his finger to warn Billbom, yet was interrupted by Lei Youting, who gestured to stop him.

"Brother Pei, I’ll face this question myself." With that, Lei Youting raised her head to look at the person in front of her. Billbom was surprised to find feelings in those mechanical eyes that shouldn’t have shown any emotions: anger and sadness.

"You talk to me about innocence? You ask me how big the hatred is? Innocence? Am I not innocent? Were my dad, mom, grandpa, and grandma not innocent? We lived fine in our world before this event, without knowing about superhumans or your damned Vlad Clan! But all of that was destroyed by you! First, you took the lives of my dad and grandpa! That wasn’t enough; shortly after, you took my mom and grandma, and seized my body, oppressing my consciousness, trying to erase my soul, making me disappear from this world with my grievances and hatred."

Lei Youting vented all her anger in one breath, her soul slightly spent, making her body wobble in turn. Seeing this, Pei Yan steadied her, and after calming the emotions a bit, she shouted again, "If you just wanted to take over my body, my abilities, you could have done that! Why harm my family? Why didn’t you think of negotiating with me then? Why didn’t you consider how innocent my family was?! Ha ha ha! Now that you’re facing revenge and near extinction, you think of negotiation, repentance, and wanting my forgiveness! It’s too late! Too late! My soul can only exist in this world for half a day, and no conditions matter to me. All I hope for in this half day is seeing you experience the same despair I did back then. Witnessing your filthy, vile, damned family completely vanish from this world!" ℴ

The robotic envoy uttered terrifying curses one after another, making Billbom pale as he heard them—this was blood vengeance, an unsolvable blood feud! The family’s prayers and all their efforts were just wishful thinking. Moira already knew this! So did Depeo, the butler of Delacuri, which is why he mentioned negotiating was pointless.

"You had no intention of accepting surrender! Bringing me here and talking for so long was just a way to toy with me, to stall for time!" Billbom realized and turned to Pei Yan, shouting angrily.

Pei Yan extinguished the nearly finished cigar by pressing it against Radu’s hair next to him, nodding to the other and calmly said, "Indeed! I’m playing with you! I could keep it up by pretending to accept your surrender, and then strike once you step out of the defense perimeter." Saying this, Pei Yan clapped his hands, deeply inhaled the smell of gunpowder after the distant air bombardment, then mocked, "But I’m genuinely too lazy to continue this charade! Too troublesome! Besides, your abilities aren’t worthy of such elaborate effort from me."

This undisguised contempt and humiliation nearly made Billbom’s lungs explode with anger! He wanted to fight to the death with the other party, taking even one person down was a gain, but knowing their strength could easily crush him, dying here had no meaning. Better to return to the castle, inform the clan about this, and attempt a breakthrough together, maybe there was still a sliver of hope.

Thinking of this, Billbom retreated, speaking as he moved: "Since negotiations failed, let’s battle! I’m heading back now..." While retreating, he realized his escape route was already cut off. In panic he looked to Pei Yan in anger, "Pei Yan! What is the meaning of this?"
