Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 181: Second Class Hell Ape Gauntlet [I]
Luke kills monsters at lightning speed, so by the time his companions entered the dungeon, he had slain as many as seven.
When he kills monsters in his beast armor, the monsters will turn into Flame.
So when he kills these monsters, they immediately turn into Flame.
Therefore, when Fiona, Troy, Drew, and Rey entered the dungeon, it looked like Luke hasn’t killed any monsters because they all turned into Flame, and Luke devoured them.
So technically speaking, he was yet to kill one monster.
"If you’re going to go into a dungeon like that, then I’m sorry, you’re not cut out to be a teammate," Fiona said as monsters began to appear— a lot of raccoons.
Luke replied, "Why don’t you think that’s why I don’t have teammates?"
"What’s there to be proud of?" Fiona said. "Now go kill ten raccoons. If you can’t kill them, let’s see how long you can stay in this team."
Luke said, "Phase one. Ten Absurd Raccoons, versus an Ancient-grade beast armor." He thrust his arm vehemently, and the gauntlet hissed and vibrated, causing the members of the Victorian Guild to stagger back in caution.
Luke pondered, "Purgatory Charge? Forget it, I’ve used it too much." Gaining combo skills through the Aspect of Conquest? No, too slow to achieve. Red Basin? Hmm... the destructive power is too great. How about... trying out this new skill, Anarchy?"
So Luke tested the very skill.
He swung his arm back like he was swinging a baseball bat, then punched the air that separates them and the Absurd Racoons.
BOOM!
〖You have slain a Gamma monster!〗x35
〖Flame + 1225.5〗
Luke’s greed! He killed 35 monsters at once instead of the required 10!
It’s not his fault because the Hell Ape Gauntlet is too powerful, not to mention this is the second class version.
After all, this is ancient-grade beast armor worn by an ancient-grade beast!
When Luke swung his arm to throw a punch, it was the activation of Anarchy, a very cruel ability of the Hell Ape.
This skill strips the soul from a creature like deboning a fish, so when Luke punches the air, a sonic boom so loud erupts, blasting through the raccoons like a nuclear bomb, separating their souls from their bodies.
All the souls scatter, and the bodies collapse into Flame.
〖Hit x20!〗
〖Skill: Sheol Cataclysm!〗
〖Description: Transforms the battlefield into the Underworld, unleashing a cataclysm of Hellfire that annihilates everything in your seeable area.〗
This is a very dangerous and deadly temporary skill provided by the Aspect of Conquest.
Surprisingly, it appears at x20 combos.
With this skill, Luke can clear half of the dungeon. If he gets this skill again, he will be able to clear the entire dungeon with just one skill used two times.
But Luke must respect the Victorian Guild’s arrangements.
They asked him to kill ten monsters, and he had killed 35—actually 42. So, not wanting to become a thorn in their side, he gave up the skill, which was equivalent to ending the combo.
However, if he thinks that kind of respectful behavior would spare him from discipline, he was wrong.
Who can punch through a dungeon stage with a single blow? And what kind of punch was that?
The Macedonia team began to scrutinize their beasts, each one massive and ferocious, but after Luke accomplished that with what everyone ridiculed as scrap metal and a glove, their beasts were no match at all.
They thought if they acted nonchalant, as in, pretend it wasn’t a surprise, it may make what he did appear less impressive.
But that doesn’t make sense, because they asked him to kill ten monsters, so it’s like they set that as the limit, and he exceeded it by 350%.
"Are you sure you didn’t mechanically and magically enhance that glove? How can it be so different from what everyone described?" Fiona asked
Luke replied, "My gauntlet? Yes, when I awakened it, it looked unremarkable, but just like you evolve your beasts and upgrade them over time, I did my part with my beast armor."
Drew scooted forward in his wheelchair, exclaiming, "Wow! This looks so surreal..."
Soon, his face was almost touching the black heat emanating from the armor, and as a result, the burning sensation forced him to roll back at least four feet.
"Shoot. Sure enough, it’s a person wearing beast armor! How could this happen? Are you some kind of hybrid human? Have you undergone a genetic mutation? You know, genetic mutations aren’t uncommon, and they can be innate."
"I have a better question," Luke said, then he bent down to inspect Drew, who was sitting in the wheelchair. "I don’t mean to be rude, but how could a disabled person possibly become a hunter? And how on earth did you become a Silver rank? Isn’t this more preposterous than killing 35 monsters with one skill?"
"You mean me? I wasn’t always disabled, and besides, we’re summoners, so I don’t need to fight. And, fortunately, my summon is a snake, which means I can—"
"Uh," Luke shuddered, almost vomiting.
"Uh, what?" Drew asked.
"Don’t finish that sentence," Luke replied. "I get your point."
Rey stood erect from where Drew had been before scooting to Luke, and she said, "Excuse me, Luke Kingsley, do you find my brother’s adaptations disgusting?"
"Sister Rey, it’s okay, anyone who isn’t familiar with me would have the same reaction," Drew said. "My sister is really protective of me, and she’s been by my side ever since. In fact, she’s nicknamed "Drew’s Dagger" for being so protective of me."
"This reminds me of my sister Vivian. She’s the best, so I respect you, Rey," Luke said.
Rey smiled upon hearing the compliment, thinking that Luke wasn’t such a bad person after all.
Troy and Fiona saw Luke getting along well with the other members of their team and had to take action to prevent someone from inciting mutiny between them, because Luke seemed to be a very charismatic person capable of attracting and winning people over.
