Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights

Chapter 260: Forbidden City Meeting/ Miquella The Judge

Chapter 260: Forbidden City Meeting/ Miquella The Judge

“I’m sorry I’m late.” A man with shoulder-length white hair, black spectacles and a fanged necklace over his casual white top and blue jeans entered the office of Pagoda’s guild master.

“Serious as ever, huh?” Tomás chuckled, eyeing the men seated in the large office. One of them was Alex Wang, the renowned guild master of Pagoda Guild while the other was Raphael, another paragon Tier summoner who had the Six-Eyed shadow wolf, a creature that was once the shadow demon god’s pet.

It stood at a terrifying height of four hundred feet, taller than some skyscrapers!

Raphael wore a black executive suit while Alex wore a white one. The look they gave Tomás showed they more or less expected him to come looking like he already did.

Tomás himself was also a Paragon Tier whose summon was a terrifying gigantic boar able to control air. These men were individuals that could wipe out cities on a whim.

The authorities made sure they kept close tabs on figures like these as even the public didn’t know much about them. They were at the apex of earth’s summoner’s hierarchy, existences that could devastate a continent.

Nukes were meaningless, no sorts of technology had any power on these few.

Tomás sat down and crossed one leg over the other. “You know the authorities will be very curious as to why three of Earth’s five paragons are gathering.”

“Well, they have their ace to keep us in check,” Raphael replied softly, speaking about the most powerful paragon amongst the five of them.

“It’s been decades since I saw him,” Tomás shrugged.

“It’s good that you came,” Alex spoke up.

Tomás blinked. “Where’s Miquella? She might also be an agent of the authorities but isn’t your message to all of us who have returned?”

“She was sent on a mission,” Alex responded.

“You haven’t heard that a paragon was born in the United States, have you?” Raphael lifted an eyebrow.

“What?”

“Apparently, he’s a vagabond and is currently staying at Pendragon Island after the death of his partner. He’s not hiding his presence and even after putting in some words for him, I don’t think it worked. Miquella is currently on her way to the island as we speak.” Alex sighed.

Tomás tilted his head with a shocked expression. “They sent the judge against a fresh paragon. She might also be a young paragon but her ability allows her to place judgment on those even 1.5 tier tiers above her. If they send her, all escape routes have been sealed for this paragon.”

“It’s unfortunate but there are more concerning matters at hand. You know about the forbidden city in Beijing.” Alex looked at both men whose expressions changed.

Of course they knew about the most dangerous blue gate dungeon on Earth. It has existed for over seventy years and was the only dungeon known to grow with time.

It might have been because the boss had never been killed once for the past seventy years. The number of dungeon beasts had just been maintained at a certain number to ensure there was no dungeon break.

“There’s been some changes. I’m afraid the blue gate is slowly turning red, which means the boss is definitely a Paragon Tier. If it emerges with the crimson taotie army, China won’t be safe and I’m being cautious with my words.” Alex told them with a solemn face.

“You lost your wife in that dungeon yet you’re still burdened by it,” Raphael sighed.

Tomás widened his legs and entwined his fingers while his elbows rested on his thighs. “We’ve united to fight this thing twice, never reached the palace and lost a lot. Alex, you lost your wife, Raphael, you lost your twin brother. The second time we faced it as Origins and still couldn’t get past that crimson taotie army. What are the odds that we can win this time?” Tomás questioned.

“I recently got an ability that will work against that army,” Alex replied.

“Ability or not, if that gate turns red, we lose for real, maybe the whole of Asia might crumble,” Raphael retorted.

“Once Miquella is back, we shall continue. The Seven Heads are willing to aid us with the full might of the military should we fail and the gate turn red,” Alex said. ’If he was here our chances would have been higher. Even Godfrey could be of help if it weren’t for the circumstances.’

***

It was late, the sound of rustling leaves fell into Godfrey’s ears as he strolled down a path with a hoodie on. He just wanted to stroll around a bit but did not expect the woman before him.

’I wondered why the dragons are strangely quiet. So you’re the reason.’ He thought inwardly while staring at the woman with a long blonde bob cut.

She wore the usual coat agents wore but a white one with three rows of golden buttons. Miquella looked to be between her mid to late thirties but was actually in her early fifties.

Standing beside her was an eleven feet eleven-foot tall judge cloaked in a white robe.

“A humanoid Summoner. I see you’re one of the authorities’ hunting hounds.” Godfrey looked at her, his eyes which had reverted back to the Black-Out State, intently locked on Miquella.

She scoffed with an unchanging expression. “I have been taught restraint, something I doubt you have. I have seen your record. Do you know that you can wipe out the entirety of Manhattan with that skill you used at Brooklyn… on a whim? Isn’t that depriving the citizens of their right to safety by letting you walk free?”

“What about my rights? Am I not a citizen?” Godfrey asked slowly.

“You are a rebel to society, the families of those you’ve slain have made countless petitions against you. You have also been recorded of killing your very own classmates, don’t you think their parents or siblings want justice?” Miquella stated with a collected tone, showing absolutely no change in her expression. She was the judge, she handled the guilty once facts proved they were one.

“Everyone is a villain. To the family of as many that tried to get my mother killed or wanted my own head, I’m a villain. They loathe me but that’s their perspective. I only did what I had to protect myself, to protect my family. There are also people who see a different side of me, people who I’ve saved from death. I’m a hero to some, a villain to some. That’s the uncanny truth…. Is that what you want me to say?”

Miquella’s eyes gleamed and both of them appeared in a hall. Miquella sat on a throne with the judge beside her.

Seven ivory statues with greatswords stood on both sides of the hall.

“You don’t even stand with your philosophical stance. You’ve become a monster, Godfrey Daniels. I find you guilty and your punishment will be memory alteration.”

Law of restriction of movement and binding of summon fell on Godfrey as she spoke them inwardly.

“You are the one who is guilty.”

“How so?” Miquella raised an eyebrow. She was a 25.8 paragon Tier summoner and she could subdue a 27.3 paragon Tier but the punishment she just gave did not take effect.

“Who brings the next in line to the throne forcefully to a court? Who gave you such authority?”

Miquella’s eyes narrowed. “Silence.” She gave another law that would render Godfrey unable to speak.

“You met the wrong man.” A voice whispered into her ears. For the first time ever, Miquella shivered. Her left eye went to the corner and found Godfrey holding the backrest of her throne, leaning towards her.

His black sclera and golden pupils pierced her soul.
