296 What Yang Fei Knew
Yang Fei was very good with the information he had on all about the affairs with the Dragon Emperor Palace. Yang Lujia could not imagine how far and much he had gone through to be able to gather this much information.
Well, it wouldn’t be hard for him as he was also a dragon himself. Although he was a mere ‘Flood’ Void Dragon, he was still a very strong one and the blood of the so-called royalty that Yang Lujia recognized earlier was very corrupted. In other words, no one in the Dragon Emperor Palace should have blood purer than his second disciple.
It turned out that it was only a few years ago since the Dragon Son was claimed as the true successor of the Dragon Emperor. It was the Dragon Emperor himself who announced this. Although it incurred the distaste of every dragon in their territory—to just place and entitle someone as the Dragon Son, without even knowing what kind of achievements he had compared to the Dragon Princes.
Regardless, they still followed the will of the Dragon Emperor. As it was something that he wanted for some reason they didn’t know and should be something very valid for him to make such a decision, they knew that the Dragon Emperor contemplated on this very much.
Despite this, there were still attempts of killing the Dragon Son before. However, ever since the announcement, the Dragon Son did not come out from the Dragon Emperor’s lair. Almost no one would dare do this except some mindless thugs. Even if there were assassins, though, as long as they were not at the level of the Dragon Emperor like the Fiend Emperor himself or the Human Emperor, then they wouldn’t be able to end the life of someone like the Dragon Son.
Of course, the Dragon Emperor knew this danger, so he specifically protected the Dragon Son on his own. No one else was allowed to, except for him.
Hearing this, Yang Lujia was quite satisfied with the performance of this Dragon Emperor.
Yang Fei also told him about the current situation. The reason that the Dragon Son was being targeted by others was that the Dragon Emperor got ill—apparently, the only thing Yang Lujia could think of was because it was a poison that could render someone unconscious.
While the dispute among princes and the Dragon Son was ongoing, the Dragon Ancestor, however, did not mind any of this as this was the traditional way of how the Dragon Princes should fight among themselves for the grand prize—which was the throne. Moreover, his attention was mostly on his own son, the Dragon Emperor, who got ill. It was even rumored that the Dragon Ancestor barged into the Fiend Emperor Palace, asking for an explanation. It seemed like the Fiend Emperor Palace had a hand in this as well.
“Where is the Dragon Emperor now? Perhaps I have a way to deal with whatever his current predicament is. Do you perhaps know about this?” Yang Lujia asked.
“I don’t know the exact location, but I once stole something from the room of the Dragon Emperor. You might be able to find him through the aura emitted by this thing…” Yang Fei pulled out something from his storage ring and…
“What is that? Of all the things you brought, why would you bring his underwear?” Yang Lujia felt stumped and looked at Yang Fei incredulously. “Do you have a crush or some kind of fetish for the Dragon Emperor?”
“What the fu—Your Highness, you misunderstood.” Yang Fei was about to curse but he stopped himself and continued, “This underwear is the only thing I can steal at that time because the Dragon Emperor was apparently inside a bathing room. His clothes were placed in his room, outside of the bathing room, of course. I initially thought he wasn’t there, so I toured his room, but when I noticed that there was an aura inside the bathing room while I was checking the clothes on top of his bed, I missed his robe and got this instead.”
Yang Lujia did not mind this anymore and got the underwear that was white in color. He then extracted the aura of the Dragon Emperor from this wear and burned it away. Afterward, finally, a waitress approached them.
“Hello, sirs, what would you like to order?” the lady asked.
“Everything, miss. At least two servings for each dish.”
Sheng Ao and Yang Fei’s eyes bulged out when they heard Yang Lujia’s order. Yang Fei couldn’t help but remind Yang Lujia, “Your Highness, the food here is extremely expensive. You might need a lot of spirit stones—”
“You don’t have to worry about the payment,” Yang Lujia replied. “Even if I don’t have enough money. Could someone who owns the Hall of Commerce lack what was called money or these so-called spirit stones?”
Yang Fei gritted his teeth and got another ring from one of his fingers and threw it on the lady. “There are enough spirit stones there to pay for the bill. Just abide by what His Highness wanted to order.”
The lady herself was dumbstruck and couldn’t extricate herself for a while, only waking up from her stupor when Yang Lujia poked her arms. “Miss, if you have drinks as well… kindly include it in the bill. For the drinks as well…” He then looked at his new subordinate that was his lucky charm. “The bill will still be on him.”
‘Fuck…’ Yang Fei could not help but cuss.
On the other hand, Brownie was grinning as he knew Yang Lujia’s intentions. It seemed like this kid was so experienced with these things. ‘I wouldn’t have to worry about eating in the future. Having this kid along with me saved me a lot of time settling things, unlike in my tribe… well, I don’t even want to talk about all the papers I had to mark with my paw…’
Seeing the smug look on the face of the extremely familiar dog in Yang Lujia’s arms, he was even fucked up. Imagine if one had been scorned by a dog, what would someone do?
When the lady finally walked away, Yang Fei found the perfect time to ask about Brownie’s matter. “By the way, Your Highness, I have a question, though. Do you mind if I ask?”
“Go ahead.” Yang Lujia did not look too surprised and just savored how the restaurant was his taste, the art, and everything. The dragons in the paintings even made him feel inspired. ‘Would I also be able to create my own species or races in the future if I want to?’
“Who is this dog in your arms?” Yang Fei said, not to sound offensive. “I mean, master, you’ve been carrying him all this time. Also, I feel a familiar aura of the void from him.”
“Actually, he is from the void. I coincidentally caught an egg in the past and hatched it. When it hatched, I initially thought I will get another dragon other than my disciple, but it turns out it was a dog. But he was no ordinary dog. The way I hatched is also somewhat peculiar. Well, perhaps only Long Guang knew of it.”
When Yang Lujia thought of how Long Guang saw his thing down there, he was not anymore embarrassed. After all, that was only a kid. Long Guang did not really awaken any of his memories at that time, so he was not feeling shameful about it. His disciple was still innocent at that time.
“What kind of dog is he? Have you found out?”
“I was once the Devouring Void Dog Tribe’s Prince. Got a problem with that, Yang kid?”
“What the hell?” Yang Fei was utterly shocked.
He knew some things about the void and there were tribes or races there that no one would dare to disrespect in their respective territories. One of them is this Devouring Void Dog Tribe. His bloodline wouldn’t even amount to this bloodline as they could literally devour anything with only a few exceptions. What the hell was this kind of dog doing here? From his memories, this dog tribe was very arrogant in nature and they would not let anyone touch them—like they were just some kind of pets.
However, from what he was seeing, it seemed like Brownie completely submitted to His Highness. As expected of a Yang Royalty, he did have some qualities that no one, from his ranks, could imitate. Because in the void, subduing another tribe’s members would be considered an insult to them. Well, it would not be so if it was a Yang Royalty who did that to them. After all, the Yang Tribe was not a mere tribe they could just consider “normal”.
