"Alright, tell me the time. I’ll need to prepare in advance and buy some gifts before visiting," Yang Xun agreed with a nod, genuinely looking forward to it.

"That’s great! I’ll head back and let my mom know first. Make sure you act the part—don’t blow your cover."

"I’ll be going now, then. I won’t interrupt your date." After speaking, Yue Feifei waved at him, turned around, and quickly walked out of the restaurant.

After dinner, Yang Xun didn’t take Sun Rao home immediately. Instead, they went to a car dealership together.

Having made quite a bit of money recently, he figured he should buy a car for getting around; otherwise, traveling anywhere would be too inconvenient. Although there were several cars at home, they all belonged to the Xu family. He still wanted to spend his own money to buy one that truly belonged to him.

As soon as the two entered the showroom, a young saleswoman approached them and asked enthusiastically, "Do you have any specific models in mind? Would you like me to introduce a few to you?"

"I don’t know much about cars. Go ahead and introduce some," Yang Xun replied calmly.

The saleswoman sized him up. Seeing his ordinary attire, she selected a few economical and practical models to show him. Yang Xun nodded in satisfaction. He believed that cars were merely tools for transportation, so there was no need to spend an exorbitant amount of money on one.

Just as he was about to check the prices, a familiar, sarcastic voice rang out from the side. "Oh? Isn’t this the live-in son-in-law of the Xu family? You’re here to buy a car? This isn’t the kind of place you belong."

Yang Xun turned his head and saw Chen Junhao with his arm around a scantily clad young woman. The two were practically glued to each other. They stood next to a red supercar, their faces full of disdain and smugness.

"A pauper is a pauper, destined to be poor for a lifetime. Did you really think you’d strike it rich just by clinging to the Xu family’s coattails?

"You’re nothing but a dog to the Xu family. They don’t even take you seriously. I heard you even have to rely on your wife for a monthly allowance! Where would you get the money to buy a car?"

Chen Junhao laughed uproariously, drawing strange looks from the people around them. Pleased with the scene he had caused, he pulled the woman a few steps away and deliberately raised his voice. "See that? That eight-million-yuan car over there? I’m going to buy it for my girlfriend to drive. If you can’t afford anything, stop being an eyesore and save yourself the embarrassment."

Several customers who were looking at cars instinctively turned their heads, their gazes landing on Yang Xun with a mix of scrutiny and contempt.

Ignoring him, Yang Xun walked straight to the other side of the showroom. His eyes landed on a black sedan. Its smooth, steady lines were quite pleasing to the eye. He called the saleswoman over and asked a few questions. She answered politely but looked at him with a hint of curiosity.

Chen Junhao sauntered over again and sneered. "What are you looking at? That car costs around a million. Can you even afford it? Don’t spend half the day asking questions only to say, ’I’ll think about it.’ That would be so humiliating."

Yang Xun ignored him completely and turned to the saleswoman. "I’ll take this one."

He had indeed been poor before, but things were different now. Even after giving all the money he earned at the bathhouse to Xu Yue, he still had over ten million yuan on hand. This was his cut from Yue Feifei for helping the Zhou family recover their antique.

Chen Junhao froze for a moment before looking him up and down. "You’ll take it just like that? Can you even cough up that much cash? Don’t bite off more than you can chew, or you’ll only end up embarrassing yourself."

Seeing that Yang Xun was about to pay, Chen Junhao quickly interjected. "I’m buying that car!" He hastily urged the salesman beside him to draw up the paperwork.

The salesman nodded. Just as he was about to head off to prepare the bill, the young saleswoman spoke up awkwardly. "Liu, wait a minute. We only have one of this model left in stock, and my client had his eyes on it first."

"Zhang, it’s not that I want to steal your commission. Young Master Chen wants this car, which means it’s his. No one else would dare try to snatch it from him anyway." The salesman gave Yang Xun a meaningful, mocking look.

"But..."

The saleswoman wanted to protest further, but Yang Xun stopped her.

Looking unfazed and not the least bit angry, he said softly, "Forget it. We’ll look at something else."

Chen Junhao looked incredibly smug, as if he had just won a major battle. "I wouldn’t drive a car this cheap anyway. I’ll just give it to the family maid to use for grocery shopping."

"Young Master Chen, if your maid gets to drive such an expensive car, is your family still hiring maids? Or perhaps a driver?" the surrounding salespeople joked flatteringly, making Chen Junhao beam with delight.

Yang Xun’s mouth twitched, utterly speechless.

He and the saleswoman walked to another side of the showroom to look at other models. When he finally found one he liked and was about to place an order, Chen Junhao came out to cause trouble again, snatching up the very car he had chosen.

Yang Xun grumbled inwardly, "Is there something wrong with Chen Junhao’s brain?"

He wondered if Chen Junhao was actually crazy enough to buy every car in the shop just to spite him.

Soon after, Yang Xun set his sights on a five-million-yuan car. Chen Junhao laughed heartily. "Yang Xun, you really know how to put on an act! This car is over five million! Can you afford it?

"There’s no way a poor loser living paycheck to paycheck could fork over that much money!

"Oh! I get it. You’re doing this on purpose. You’re trying to scheme me into buying this car! Well, I won’t give you what you want. I’d like to see how you get out of this one!" Chen Junhao crossed his arms and glared at Yang Xun arrogantly.

Without so much as a glance in his direction, Yang Xun followed the saleswoman to sign the paperwork and make the payment.

A moment later, the smile on Chen Junhao’s face froze. He had thought Yang Xun was just a broke loser; he never expected him to actually pull out five million yuan.

"You..."

"What about me?" Yang Xun rolled his eyes and held up his phone screen for Chen Junhao to see.

The display showed a remaining balance of over eight million yuan, leaving Chen Junhao absolutely dumbfounded. He stared in disbelief. Even he didn’t have that much liquid cash on hand right now. How could this nobody possibly have it?

Yang Xun put his phone away, his tone as casual as if he were discussing the weather. "Some people are so petty. Just because they love to show off, they assume everyone else is exactly like them.

"Chen Junhao, let me give you a piece of advice. Instead of worrying about whether I can afford a car, you should mind your own business. Your medical bills from a few days ago couldn’t have been cheap, right?"

Chen Junhao’s face instantly turned purple with rage. His lips trembled, but he couldn’t utter a single word.

At that moment, Yang Xun asked with a totally serious expression, "With several maids buying groceries for your family, are two cars going to be enough for them?"

"You..." Chen Junhao was absolutely furious. He didn’t even like those two cheap cars! If it weren’t to spite Yang Xun, he never would have bought them in the first place.

"Terrible personality and low IQ. I really don’t know how you managed to become an investor," Yang Xun said, shaking his head in disgust.

He took Sun Rao for a test drive in the new car. Once he was sure there were no issues, they prepared to leave.

On their way out, Yang Xun stopped as he walked past Chen Junhao. He tilted his head and glanced at him, saying casually, "Oh, right, Mr. Chen. If you really like that eight-million-yuan car we saw earlier, you’d better buy it quickly.

"Who knows? If you run into cash flow problems in a few days, you might not be able to afford it anymore."

Chen Junhao’s face was now as dark as a thundercloud. Clenching his fists, he stared fixedly at Yang Xun’s retreating back until he disappeared through the door. His chest heaved violently, yet he was so infuriated that he couldn’t spit out a single word.
