"Hah... I’m so sorry, Madam. That’s my absolute limit for today. I desperately want to heal the family head completely, but my energy reserves are severely drained..." Quinn panted heavily, his face turning deathly pale after maintaining the intense magic output for fifteen minutes straight.

"No, please don’t apologize, Quinn. You don’t need to force yourself beyond your limits, just as I told you before. We can take this step by step... A single extra day of rest means nothing to me after waiting helplessly for years," Silvia replied gently. She placed her warm hands on his back, channeling a stream of her own soothing mana into him to help him regain his stamina.

"Hah... hah... Yes, thank you so much, Madam."

"You don’t need to thank me at all. If anyone should be giving thanks, it is me," Silvia said as she stepped closer to her husband’s bedside. The dark, venomous purple veins that had once marred his face were rapidly fading away. The deathly, sunken look that had plagued his features for years was slowly giving way to a healthy, natural complexion.

"I can visibly see the improvement taking root now, Madam. All I need is time, and I am certain I can restore the family head to full health."

"Mm... I can see the change clearly on his face, Quinn. I am so profoundly relieved..." Silvia murmured, quietly dabbing away a stray tear from her cheek. As the head of the house, she had to maintain a pillar of absolute strength, leaving her no room to show weakness in front of others.

Bang!

"I heard that bitch managed to find a high-tier healer for the family head! Is that true!?" an elderly man roared, slamming his fist onto the ornate wooden table with enough force to splinter the grain.

"Yes, Elder. Our informants confirmed that an unknown young man entered the main estate not long ago. According to our intelligence, he was brought in through that woman’s younger sister."

"Damn those useless bitches! They ruin every single one of my plans! I’d love nothing more than to drag them both by their hair and bend them over, but we can’t move against them directly!" he spat, venting his raw lust and frustration to the subordinate bowing before him.

"Elder..."

"Quiet! We failed this time, and that’s all there is to it! We can’t even touch those arrogant women right now because of you incompetent, pathetic fools!" The elder shattered his wine glass against the stone floor. His grand scheme—orchestrated in secret with the number one family while acting as a double agent for his own personal gain—was falling apart all because some random, noble-hearted piece of shit had crawled out of nowhere.

It was infuriating to know the family head wasn’t going to die as planned. He desperately wanted to claim the seat of power for himself, but acting recklessly without a solid strategy would be suicidal.

"Elder, what are your orders? Should I dispatch our top assassins to eliminate that healer immediately?" the subordinate proposed, eager to remove the unknown variable from the equation.

"Don’t be an idiot! That bitch Silvia isn’t as brainless as you are. I guarantee she has already placed him under her personal protection!" He gritted his teeth in frustration. Silvia was a absolute monster in terms of raw combat power, and if he possessed that level of strength, he wouldn’t need to rely on underhanded political maneuvering in the first place. Eliminating her new target required meticulous planning.

"Then what should we do, Elder?"

"Issue a mandatory subjugation order. Release a few of the high-tier beasts under our control into the outer domain and forge the official dispatch papers. Even that bitch isn’t omnipotent; she won’t be able to trace a random beast ambush back to us." A sinister grin spread across the elder’s face. It was a tried-and-true method that never failed to deliver results.

After all, what could be more tragic than a tragic death by wild beasts? No one would suspect foul play, as wild monsters were incapable of following human orders unless reduced to brain-dead slaves—and no record in history had ever documented a human taming a Dead-Zone class beast.

"But Elder, deploying those controlled beasts will consume an enormous amount of our hidden resources..."

"Don’t worry about the cost; I know exactly what I am doing. Once this succeeds, we can finally end this internal strife and seize full control of the entire family!"

"Understood, Elder!" The subordinate pressed his forehead to the floor, daring not to question the thoughts of a transcendent human any further. Attempting to decipher the mind of a monster was far beyond his pay grade.

"Go, and make sure you leave no traces behind. All we need now is a little patience." The elder stood up, staring out the window into the dark courtyard. No matter what obstacles appeared, the throne of the Naturehive would inevitably belong to him and him alone.

"How is the family head holding up, Madam? Is his condition stable?" Quinn asked softly, playing the part of the modest, selfless miracle worker. His dramatic performance had paid off brilliantly, giving him the perfect excuse to enjoy a quiet, casual moment alone with the finest MILF in the entire Naturehive.

"Yes, his vital signs are completely stable now. It is entirely thanks to your effort that this was even possible," Silvia replied, letting out a long, heavy sigh of relief. This was only his second healing session, yet her husband was already looking better than he had in years.

"I am truly glad to hear that."

"More importantly, how are you feeling right now, Quinn? Are you alright...? You looked like you were on the verge of collapsing earlier..." Silvia admitted with a touch of shame, realizing she had rushed to her husband’s side earlier while temporarily ignoring her savior’s exhaustion.

"Please don’t worry about me at all, Madam. I’m feeling much better now. I temporarily drained my energy reserves, but I’m already as good as new," Quinn said with a bright smile, lightly flexing his arms to prove his point.

"Hmm... That is a relief to hear. In that case, how about joining me for a meal? I personally had a luxurious spread prepared just for you as a small token of my gratitude."
