Only I Can Use Every Power System
Chapter 126: Cha.125 Aray City (2)
“Hold the line!”
“Monsters coming from the left!”
“Still no sign of the city!”
Thirty Light Warriors fought against almost three times their number of monsters emerging from the darkness.
Powerful electric attacks kept the monsters at bay while spears pierced through them, turning them into dust.
Monsters with red, yellow, and green eyes overwhelmed the warriors with their numbers, but the humans continued holding their position and striking back.
Qasim was fighting near the front. He was faster than the others, allowing him to rush in and kill monsters up close before quickly retreating.
Yasmin was like a death tornado in the back line. With her cloud, she killed several monsters within mere seconds.
On the side, two warriors were surrounded and overpowered by the monsters. But with a single strike from the commander, all the monsters around them were killed.
The battle quickly turned from an even fight into a one-sided slaughter, with the humans actively pushing the monsters back.
“I fucking hate when they do that!”
Adlan screamed with an annoyed expression as he pulled his spear out of the mud after killing his fifteenth monster.
He then looked at the blond woman with a mocking smile.
“How many did you get, Lisa?”
Lisa, maintaining her calm expression, unleashed an electric attack at a fleeing monster, killing it before answering.
“That’s my sixteenth.”
Adlan planted his spear into the muddy ground.
“Unlucky. They keep running out! I would’ve killed more.”
“Aren’t you too old for this childish game?” Lisa commented.
Adlan snorted with a mocking smile.
“All of us are probably older than this empire itself at this point. What do you think, Commander?”
The commander slashed across the crimson spikes, killing three fleeing monsters before answering.
“Probably. Who knows?”
“Boring answer as usual.”
Adlan laughed.
Qasim had been watching the commander from the beginning.
*All of them are strong, but he is on a completely different level…*
He commented in his mind before letting out a disappointed sigh.
*I couldn’t even properly test my ability…*
The expedition continued deeper into the darkness until they noticed an unusual structure.
Tall white pillars covered in cracks, red mud, and crimson spikes growing across their surfaces stood before them.
“It’s our sign! We’re entering the city!” Adlan shouted.
Qasim looked around and noticed that the others were excited, but instead of feeling relieved, the tension around them seemed to increase.
He quickly realized that the real danger was waiting ahead.
With steady steps, they continued forward.
Slowly, the muddy ground began turning into gray stone. The crimson spikes became fewer and fewer until they finally began seeing houses on both sides.
Destroyed, empty, and cold houses.
Yet the expressions on the warriors’ faces showed something else.
Love.
And nostalgia.
Suddenly, the ground began shaking beneath them.
“It’s starting!”
Qasim heard a nearby warrior say with wide eyes.
Cracks began appearing in the ground as a black, muddy-like substance started rising from beneath them.
Then it transformed into countless enormous hands, each one the size of five warriors standing together.
The hands began smashing into the ground, causing massive destruction, but the warriors managed to dodge their attacks.
Qasim suddenly found himself face-to-face with three of the hands surrounding him.
But instead of calling for help, he wanted to fight them alone.
White waves began radiating from his body as he took a deep breath.
One of the hands suddenly smashed him into the ground.
But instead of being crushed, Qasim remained standing, pushing the enormous hand away with his waves.
The other two hands closed in on him.
Qasim simply spread his arms and unleashed waves in every direction, forcing the hands to slam into the ground.
Then Qasim swung his spear.
*That’s so cool! I need to name this ability!*
He thought excitedly.
But his smile was quickly replaced by confusion when the hands refused to turn into dust, no matter how much he attacked them.
Qasim quickly switched from offense to defense, dodging the attacks while looking around at the others.
*Huh?*
To his surprise, he was completely alone.
Only a few warriors remained nearby, struggling to escape the enormous hands.
Confusion took hold of him as he considered searching for the others, but he quickly changed his mind.
He would help the few warriors first.
“Agh! Fuck this tyrant!”
One of the warriors shouted angrily as he saw five hands closing in on them.
He looked to the side at his two friends.
“We need to try and break through this siege first!”
“Look!”
One of his friends shouted while pointing ahead.
The warrior turned his head and froze when he saw a white-haired boy standing on top of one of the hands, pinning the other two down.
*I need to clean my boots after this…*
Qasim thought as he looked at the muddy hand beneath his feet.
He then lifted his head and asked the warrior,
“Where are the others?”
The warrior took a second to understand what was happening before narrowing his eyes and answering.
“They’re making their way to the lighthouse. Fast, boy! We need to follow them!”
Qasim smiled at the warrior and asked him to lead the way.
“I’m Qasim, by the way.”
…
“I don’t see the new boy. Did he die already?”
Lisa asked Adlan while fighting against one of the muddy hands.
Adlan gave her a sideways glance with a sinister smile before licking his lips and speaking in a cheerful tone.
“I might or might not have skipped mentioning this part of the expedition to him.”
Lisa raised an eyebrow.
“Why?”
“I wanted to test him. Relax, he’ll be fine. I have a feeling.”
Lisa let out a slow sigh as she saw the sinister smile on Adlan’s face.
“You do realize that she isn’t here, so…”
Adlan tilted his head in confusion.
Then his eye widened as he nervously looked around.
“Oh, fuck…”
He smacked his face with his palm.
…
Qasim was following the three warriors when he suddenly heard someone calling for help.
He turned his head and saw the jester lying on the ground while one of the muddy hands rushed toward her, ready to crush her.
With a quick movement, Qasim pushed the hand away with his waves before grabbing the girl and pulling her off the ground.
“Are you ok—”
“The hero personality, I see~”
The jester interrupted him, bringing her face dangerously close to his.
“What?”
Qasim’s blue eyes met her unique pinkish eyes.
He took a step back and shook his head before looking around.
“C’mon, we need to—”
He was interrupted by a sudden cold, wet sensation on his cheek.
Qasim froze.
The jester had just licked his cheek.
“What the fuck are you doing?!”
Surprised, Qasim took another step back, his eyes wide.
“Not even sweating…”
The jester said while touching her lips.
Then she narrowed her eyes with a smile.
“Take off your clothes. I need to memorize your body shape for the show.”
