Only I Can Use Every Power System
Chapter 113: Cha.112 The Test (1)
Cici adjusted her glasses as she stared at Qasim, then at Yasmin, before looking back at Qasim and frowning.
"So... you’re telling me that in the physical world, you have six Mo... What?"
Qasim took a deep breath before explaining.
"Mohlikat. It’s what we call the six power systems there. There are Alchemy, Magic, Nahr’Keth, Finna, Irada, and Maker."
Cici started writing down the names before tapping her lips with the pen.
"Right... Well, according to the documents, there are records of Alchemy, Magic, and Nahr’Keth, but we’ve never heard about the other three."
Qasim nodded as he raised a finger.
"I think the rest of the Mohlikat were discovered after the empire fell under this curse."
"I see..." Cici continued writing in her notebook.
Qasim then took the chance to ask her something he had been eager to know.
"Why don’t you guys use Magic or the other power systems, since you’ve heard of them?"
Cici answered without looking up from her notebook.
"I don’t know myself. You’d better ask someone else."
Fuck...
Qasim felt disappointed by her answer.
He had been feeling incomplete and vulnerable ever since his powers stopped working. Even his knowledge of some Alchemy recipes was useless because he lacked the proper ingredients.
"And what Step are you two in?" Cici asked.
"Both in second step..." Qasim answered while measuring her reaction.
A little bit impressed... That’s probably mean she herself is first step...
After Cici finished writing in her notebook, she turned and started walking forward.
"Well, here we have advanced technology and one type of power. Follow me."
...
The three of them then walked to an open field as Cici took out her spear.
"This spear is a Light Warriors’ weapon. It’s charged with the power of a great spirit."
She pointed the spear at a training dummy made of green marbles.
An electric shockwave launched from the tip of the spear and struck the dummy.
The direct hit caused the dummy to explode into tiny pieces, but the marbles soon began shaking and rebuilding themselves. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂
Qasim was more fascinated by the dummy’s regeneration than the spear itself, and Cici noticed.
"What? You’re familiar with such a destructive power?" she asked jokingly.
To her surprise, the boy nodded.
"Yes, I used to... I mean, I watched some mages use powerful magic spells that were stronger than this."
Qasim almost revealed that he was powerless now. He had been relying on the illusion that he still had powers like his partner, Yasmin.
Cici didn’t notice his mistake and instead focused on the powerful magic he had mentioned.
She adjusted her glasses before saying,
"Well, I’m sure that magic can’t be that powerful. And even if it is, then there must be some downside."
She then raised her head proudly.
"Unlike our spiritual weapon here, there are even some individuals who have managed to gain powers for themselves from spirits!"
Qasim opened his mouth in surprise.
Cici snorted in satisfaction, but his next words left her completely stunned.
"So your powers are similar to Finna."
Cici narrowed her eyes.
"What is that?"
"Finna is the power system used by elves. They make contracts with spirits and gain powers. I don’t know the more advanced details, but that’s the basics."
Cici raised an eyebrow, her voice filled with surprise.
"Elves? You mean those helpless, useless races that got buried in your world, so they started appearing in the spiritual world like parasites?"
Qasim was stunned by the way she described one of the most prideful races he knew.
"You aren’t familiar with elves?"
"No. This is our world, where humans rule."
Cici frowned as she formed another question.
"Why do you seem shocked? Do the elves now have a similar state to humans?"
Qasim licked his lips, unable to think of a proper way to answer the question.
"I’m not so sure, but from what I’ve heard... they’re now the rulers of the spiritual world."
Cici dropped her spear in shock and immediately reached for Qasim.
"What are you sa—"
Before she could ask him anything else, her eyes widened as she looked behind the boy.
From the beginning, Yasmin hadn’t been able to understand the conversation, but there was one thing that caught her attention.
A black dagger made of obsidian, sharpened with smooth edges. A long white metal piece ran through its center, while its handle was made from an unknown material similar to wood, with a crimson color.
She felt a strange sense of desire to get that dagger.
Without hesitation, she took it from the chest.
Cici noticed her.
"Hey! That’s dangerous! Put it do—"
Suddenly, Yasmin turned her head toward the dummy and covered herself with the black cloud.
With a burst of speed, she appeared behind the dummy and drove the dagger into its back.
An explosion followed.
The dummy’s marbles fell to the ground, but instead of coming back together, they were shattered and broken.
Cici’s eyes widened as she stared at the scene. Her mouth dropped open, and her glasses were left crooked on her face.
She quickly rushed over to inspect the broken marbles.
Her eyes filled with disbelief.
But almost immediately, that disbelief turned into excitement.
She looked back at Qasim and spoke in a voice filled with excitement.
"What is this power she just used?! I’ve never seen anything like that!"
She then moved closer to Yasmin.
Yasmin took a step back, clearly unhappy with the girl invading her personal space.
Cici pointed at the dagger before continuing.
"That thing is made from very dangerous materials, and no one has been able to use it since the capital fell."
She then rushed toward Qasim and grabbed his hands.
"So you two can use these weird powers and are able to use the forbidden weapons too!"
Qasim stuttered as he tried to explain that he might not be able to use the same power, but Cici didn’t give him a chance.
She rushed forward while speaking rapidly.
"Stay right where you are! I will tell the captain!"
"W-Wait!"
Qasim tried to call her back, but she was already gone.
He stood there, stunned by how quickly everything had turned.
Yasmin then approached him with a puzzled expression.
"What is happening?"
Qasim remained silent for a moment before slowly turning toward her with an awkward smile.
"I think it’s time I learn Irada..."
