Chapter 80: Chapter 69: It’s Great to Have a Grandmaster of Huajin for a Dad

’How could a man who had just become a Grandmaster of Huajin, a powerful figure in the Yun Port City underworld, publicly spout such shameless, distorted nonsense?’

What a disgrace to his ancestors! What a pathetic, bootlicking mutt!

In the past, these Wa Country devils burned, killed, and plundered. They committed every evil imaginable, their hands stained with the blood of the Daxia People!

Even now, they still use their guns to forcibly occupy the concessions. Inside, they do as they please—bullying the innocent, smuggling opium, plundering resources, and even committing appalling atrocities!

Who in all of Yun Port City wasn’t aware of these bloody facts?

And yet, Wang Weijing had the audacity to paint it all as "support," "friendship," and "contribution"?

This went beyond mere treachery!

Of course, the crowd also contained a few spineless cowards, either terrified by the Cyan Dragon Gang’s might or already in bed with the Wa Country for their own gain.

They frantically raised their glasses, forcing fawning smiles as they drained the Western liquor in a single gulp.

The majority, however, simply exchanged looks of consternation. They were torn between fury at Wang Weijing’s shamelessness and fear of his Wa Country backers and his own strength as a Grandmaster of Huajin.

Unsure how to react, they remained frozen in place, glasses raised.

As for the few merchants and consular representatives from other Western Countries scattered around the hall, most watched on with cold indifference, as if it were none of their business. Some even wore faint, amused smirks.

To these Westerners, it was nothing more than the Daxia People’s own dog-eat-dog affair.

Lu Jingteng sat at a table near the front, watching everything with an expressionless face. He, too, held a glass of wine, though he hadn’t taken a single sip.

CRASH!

A sharp, ear-piercing shatter echoed through the hall.

He had slammed his full wineglass onto the polished marble floor.

The glass shattered right in front of the main table. Shards of glass and amber liquid splattered across the tips of Wang Weijing’s gleaming leather shoes.

Every eye in the room was drawn to the sound.

Lu Jingteng, dressed in a dark gray suit, rose to his feet. He stared directly at Wang Weijing beside the head table, his voice dripping with undisguised contempt.

"Hmph! Wang Weijing! You shameless old beast, you’re spouting utter nonsense!"

"You’re a running dog for those Wa Country devils, whose hands are stained with the blood of our own people. How dare you try to twist the truth? Aren’t you afraid of divine retribution?"

With that, Lu Jingteng shoved his chair back and declared unequivocally, "The Lu Family will not be a part of this sickening affair!"

The hall erupted in an uproar!

The Yun Port City merchants and leaders of smaller factions at the next table were startled by the sudden outburst.

But then, their gazes turned to Lu Jingteng, filled with indescribable admiration and even a hint of envy.

’Now that’s a real man! He’s got backbone! He’s got guts!’

The same thought occurred to all of them. If they only had the power, who wouldn’t want to spit right in Wang Weijing’s face and storm out just like Lu Jingteng?

Unfortunately, they had neither the courage nor the backing to do so.

Many sighed to themselves. ’It must be nice! If my father were a Grandmaster of Huajin, I’d point right at Wang Weijing’s nose and curse him out, too!’

At being called an old beast, the smile on Wang Weijing’s face instantly froze. A flash of sinister fury glinted in his one remaining right eye.

Before he could even speak,

several high-ranking members of the Cyan Dragon Gang seated near him saw their Gang Leader being insulted. They slammed their hands on the table and shot to their feet, pointing at Lu Jingteng and unleashing a torrent of abuse.

"How dare you!"

"You’ve got some nerve! Lu Jingteng, are you tired of fucking living? How dare you disrespect our Gang Leader!"

"Surround him! Don’t let him get away!" a Hall Master of the Cyan Dragon Gang roared.

Dozens of elite Cyan Dragon Gang members, who had already been watching menacingly from the sidelines, instantly swarmed from every corner. They surrounded Lu Jingteng’s table, forming a tight circle three layers deep.

Their eyes were savage, and their hands went to the hilts of the blades at their waists or the grips of the guns hidden beneath their clothes.

The other guests at Lu Jingteng’s table had never witnessed such a scene.

Scared out of their wits, they no longer hesitated. They snatched up their glasses and hastily downed the contents.

Then, keeping their heads down, they scrambled through the small gaps the gang members had deliberately left, fleeing toward the edge of the hall without a backward glance, terrified of getting caught in the crossfire.

Lu Jingteng stared at the intimidating wall of men before him, not a trace of fear on his face.

He had trained in martial arts with his father since childhood. Although he had only just crossed the threshold into the Ming Jin realm, he was still strong enough to handle a few ordinary thugs.

With a furious roar, Lu Jingteng took a step forward and struck first!

"What are you looking at? Get out of my way!"

He spotted a weak point in the human wall, twisted his body, and unleashed a powerful side kick!

THUD! THUD!

After two dull thuds, two Cyan Dragon Gang members in front were caught off guard by the kicks to their chests. They cried out and stumbled backward, creating an opening in the human wall.

The remaining Cyan Dragon Gang members were both shocked and furious.

But seeing how brazen Lu Jingteng was, they hesitated, turning to look at Wang Weijing by the head table.

It seemed that with a single order, they would not hesitate to hack this arrogant brat to pieces.

Lu Jingteng’s blatant attack thoroughly enraged Wang Weijing.
