Chapter 130: Chapter 87: Grandmaster of Divine Intent! Ten Thousand Valleys Struggle Fist

’Why did it go off?’

Then, He You’s mind went blank, as if something was draining out of his head.

A warm stream of liquid trickled down his forehead, past his brow, over the corner of his eye, and down to the edge of his lips.

He instinctively stuck out his tongue and licked it. Metallic. It was blood.

And then... there was nothing more. He You lost consciousness and was plunged into endless darkness.

With a THUD, his body collapsed onto the deck, blood rapidly pooling around it.

Behind him, Brother Chen holstered his gun. He glanced down at the corpse on the ground, its head blown open, his face devoid of any expression.

’This idiot, all for his own petty ambition, actually wanted to drag everyone down with him.’

’If that’s the case, then you can just die.’

The faces of the two managers beside him were also spattered with warm blood. They stared at the corpse, then at Brother Chen, utterly speechless.

Brother Chen wasted no words. He gave them a look, and the three of them worked together to lift the corpse and heave it over the side of the ship.

Afterward, Brother Chen wiped the blood from his hands, straightened his clothes, and led the two managers briskly toward the bow of the ship.

They walked up to the rattan chair, stopping a few paces away.

Brother Chen bowed slightly, his voice full of respect. "Senior, you see, we weren’t lying this morning. That fellow, He You, truly meant you harm."

"We have already taken care of him for you."

Lu Yun remained motionless in the rattan chair, as if he hadn’t heard a thing. In truth, he had sensed it from the very beginning.

Lu Yun could perceive any danger in advance within a hundred-meter radius.

Whether they snitched or not was meaningless to him.

After waiting for a moment and seeing that Lu Yun hadn’t spoken, Brother Chen and the other two felt a surge of joy.

’Silence is tacit approval, and tacit approval means he won’t take his anger out on us.’

Brother Chen spoke tentatively, "Then... Senior, we’ll take our leave now."

Still no response. He shot them a look, and the three of them bowed and backed away, only daring to turn and hurry off once they were a safe distance away.

After taking a few steps, Brother Chen suddenly remembered something. He turned back and added, "Oh, by the way, Senior, we are just outside the harbor of Yun Port City. We’re about two days’ journey from Yanjing City."

After saying this, he didn’t dare to linger any longer and disappeared through the doorway to the cabins.

The passenger ship moved slowly through the darkness. Lu Yun remained in the rattan chair, his eyes still closed.

It wasn’t until a dozen or so minutes had passed that his brow twitched. His eyes snapped open, and he whipped his head around to look at the edge of the starboard deck!

’Well now, something’s coming aboard. This aura is incredibly familiar... it’s those ghostly things!’

A dripping wet hand reached up from over the side of the ship, its five fingers clamping tightly onto the railing.

Immediately after, another hand grabbed on, followed by a head.

The head slowly emerged from over the side, appearing in Lu Yun’s line of sight.

Its face was as pale as paper, and in the middle of its forehead was the dark, gaping hole of a gunshot wound. Its eyes were fixed intently in Lu Yun’s direction.

It was He You—the same He You who had been shot in the head and thrown to the bottom of the river just a dozen or so minutes earlier.

At the sight, a fiery glint ignited in Lu Yun’s eyes.

’It’s yin energy!’

That familiar, cold yin aura—one that Lu Yun found so wonderfully intimate—was pouring from the body of "He You"!

’He was possessed by one of those ghostly things after death!’

At this thought, Lu Yun sat up in the rattan chair.

Across from him, "He You’s" limbs, bent at bizarre and twisted angles, clawed at the edge of the deck. Like some kind of reptile, it slowly crawled aboard.

Its neck was crooked and its head lolled to one side, but its eyes remained fixed on Lu Yun.

’Wait, could this be Ghost Wail Ridge?’

Lu Yun suddenly recalled that they were just outside the harbor of Yun Port City, and the journey to Yanjing City required them to travel upstream through Ghost Wail Ridge.

’What a bizarre twist of fate. I’ve actually been meaning to find some free time to come back to this place.’

The next moment, Lu Yun stood up and stared intently at the slowly approaching "He You," a smile gradually forming on his face.

’So that’s how it is!’

’Throwing a corpse into the water can be used as bait to fish out all those ghostly things from the bottom of Ghost Wail Ridge!’

’Why didn’t I think of this sooner! If I had known about this method...’ A thousand thoughts flashed through Lu Yun’s mind in an instant.

’I could have just gone to the Wa Country Consulate, found some of those animals, killed them, and thrown them into the river.’

He You was on all fours, its head twisted to the side, crawling toward Lu Yun one step at a time.

In response, Lu Yun stretched his limbs. ’Come on, let’s see how many modified value points you’re worth to me.’

"A GHOST!!!"

"There’s a ghost!"

Just then, blood-curdling screams erupted throughout the entire passenger ship. It seemed that, besides the ghost possessing He You’s corpse, other spectral entities were also present.

On the deck, He You’s grotesque corpse, twisted in a way that defied all human anatomy, charged madly toward Lu Yun!

Lu Yun simply raised his right fist and, from five meters away, gave it a light swing.

A blast of searing Fist Force shot through the air, striking the corpse squarely in the chest!

The corpse instantly exploded into a shower of shredded flesh and bone fragments. In its place, a translucent ghost with only half a head was forced to reveal its true form!

It floated in mid-air, its single remaining eye staring death at Lu Yun.

However, the searing Qi within Lu Yun’s Fist Force clung to the ghost’s spiritual body like an affliction deep in the bone, relentlessly scorching it!
