Chapter 82: 82: Surprise II

"The tribe people were so happy for the cub that they suggested an official celebration for the cub and for the female who gave them a cub," Ash said with a smile, trying to seem aloof.

Just then, Lord Vale walked up to them standing close as he said, "Weren’t you the most excited about it? You were literally running up and down to get everything ready as soon as possible." He stared at him. "And now you’re pushing the excitement to others?" He raised an eyebrow with a teasing smile.

Lord Zark and Commander Lynn came to stand at their side as well.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about..." Ash immediately denied, looking away.

Vale smiled. "Sure. Let’s pretend as if our dear fox in charge of hosting celebrations wasn’t the one panicking over the idea of making the whole event perfect for the female."

"Shut up..." Ash snapped. "The cub doesn’t want noise."

Ayra smiled as she stared at the scene ahead, still marveling over how perfect it appeared. "Either way, it looks beautiful..." she turned to Ash. "Thanks for the thought."

Ash held the cub firmly as he cleared his throat, acting all cool and aloof. "Well, I just wanted to follow the tribe’s suggestions and give you a warm welcome. The last time... you weren’t really welcomed so well..."

Ayra had flashbacks of how they all wanted her dead as soon as possible. A nightmare indeed.

Ash continued, "...And for also giving a cub. We figured we should host a celebration for you and little Ally. We haven’t done this before.. since we don’t have females or cubs.. so this is our first."

Ayra smiled at the scene again. She couldn’t help but feel special and warm within.

Vale scoffed with a nod. "Really cute. Enough talk already, let’s get going," he smiled as he led the way. Zark and Commander Lynn followed behind.

And then Ayra headed in that direction while Lord Ash followed behind with the cub in his arms.

The beastmen stood at the corners with curious glares and smiles while Ayra and the tribe leaders arrived.

"Over here!" Rai enthusiastically stepped into the scene. He and Kan led Ayra forward until she got to the head seat there. It was the biggest seat available and it was nicely decorated with precious lion skin clothing and pretty stones.

"I decorated it myself!" Rai smiled as Ayra sat down.

"I also helped," Kan insisted.

Ayra smiled as she sat down on the seat which literally made her look like a tribe queen or something. She felt nervous and honored at the same time sitting on the warm seat.

She smiled as she stared at the two young boys bicker on who decorated it best.

Ayra smiled as she patted the two of them by their ears. "Thanks to the two of you for doing a good job. I like the seat," she smiled warmly at them.

And as the two of them stared at her, their ears moved down. They melted from the warmth of her smile and touch as the two of them blinked at her with a firm nod.

On seeing how warm the female was with others, the other young boys around immediately approached as they declared.

"I also helped decorate the seat!"

"Me too! I also worked hard on it!"

"Same!"

They all enthusiastically gathered while hopefully staring at the female as though waiting for her to pat all of them by the hair.

Ayra smiled at them as Ash approached and cast them all a cold glare. They pouted as they all stepped backwards, leaving Ash to stand before Ayra.

With a smile, Ash turned to Ayra and handed her the cub. "Here.. hold onto her..."

Ayra accepted the little one with a smile as she said, "Don’t be too harsh on the young ones," she instructed.

---

The three tribe leaders took their seats. Sitting closely to Ayra but their seats weren’t as grand and extravagant as Ayra’s. Commander Lynn also had his wooden seat with Rai enthusiastically sitting close.

The festival had started. Kicking off strong with the performances. The different beastmen had taken their turns.

A group of wolf men warriors had performed their strong warrior dances. Strong choreography of stomping feet on the ground and moving with sharp concise gestures as though they were fighting a war.

With them, the dance moved to a fight between two warriors. Not an actual dance but a display of warfare between them which blended into the dance.

Ayra wasn’t one to be too deep with the primitive culture and aesthetics. But she couldn’t help but smile at the entertainment before her eyes. It was rather fun and bustling.

Soon, the fox beastmen arrived with their more elegant heroic dance. Moving in acrobatic moves, jumping from one space to another while mounting on themselves.

The other beastmen cheered loudly as they performed.

The next team of eagles flew through the air with fire torches in their hands. They blew flames in the sky, creating fireworks feelings and aesthetics in the sky while everyone stared with immense shock.

"Woah!"

"So pretty!"

"Look, fire!"

Little Ally was most impressed. While in Ayra’s hands, she stared at the sky in flame. Watching the eagles fly across the sky while blowing fire through the sky to create sparks of fireworks that illuminated the night.

Ayra stared with a smile as well, enjoying the bustling performance while holding her cub firmly.

"Like it?" She asked Ally with a smile as she watched the little one getting overly excited over the bustling performance before them.

Soon, the next team came to perform and they proceeded like that. Performance after performance as the beastmen put in their best show to impress the female and the cub.

And after they were done giving their performance, they moved to the next stage of entertainment. Which was a singing performance from Rai and his peers group.

They all lined up as Ayra stared at them with curiosity. She was curious to know what these young beastmen would perform. She was looking forward to it.
