Confidently, Commander Lynn turned to them and declared, "We’ll take responsibility and..."

But before he could even finish his sentence, they caught another whiff of the foul smell nearby!

Confused, Commander Lynn paused and looked around with the others. Their eyes eventually settled on Kellie, who was sitting there silently, staring back at them.

"Kellie... Did you... again?" Kan asked, wanting to confirm his suspicions, while Rai looked as though they were about to collapse at the scene.

However, before anyone could say another word, Minnie suddenly started giggling mischievously in Commander Lynn’s arms. Her unexpected laughter caught their attention, and they slowly turned to stare at her. The little cub was looking at them with a particularly happy expression.

"...What is this...?" Commander Lynn blinked, trying to understand what was happening.

Kan sniffed closer before suddenly gasping. "Oh, they’re certainly twins for a reason! She also... pooped herself. That makes two of them now..."

Commander Lynn was speechless. He stood there holding Minnie as the foul smell grew stronger by the minute. He honestly had no idea what to do.

Rai stepped backwards with a horrified expression. "Oh dear... Double trouble. Are you sure we shouldn’t call Ayra for help now...?"

But Commander Lynn closed his eyes before responding. "No... She’s done enough already. I should do this myself. It’s my responsibility to help with them too, so..." He looked down at Minnie, who was still smiling innocently at him. "We’ll have to handle this ourselves..."

"..." Rai stared at him speechlessly. "Wait, did I just hear you say we...?"

Commander Lynn turned towards them. "Yes, exactly. You heard me right. You two are going to help me with this."

Rai gasped and shook their head. "You said you’d take responsibility, so you should do it yourself! I’m basically useless when it comes to this, and... I can’t..."

However, Commander Lynn remained firm. "You two will be my assistants. You brought the dangerous equipment close to her, so you’ll have to assist me with this."

"..." Rai was speechless. "But I..."

"If you say no, you’ll have to practise for more hours every day," Commander Lynn threatened.

Rai sighed, rolling their eyes as they folded their arms. "What a tyrant!" they snapped before letting out another defeated sigh.

Commander Lynn simply turned back to Minnie and smiled at her, gently running a hand through her hair.

"Don’t worry. We’ll get you two cleaned up in no time, okay?"

Rai blinked before turning to Kan and asking in a low voice, "Can you help me escape?"

"No," Kan replied with a smile, folding his arms.

"Evil."

"Beg me," Kan said with a grin.

"Never!"

They soon arrived at the washing stream. Commander Lynn carefully lowered Minnie to the ground, allowing her to sit beside her twin brother.

The two little ones stared into the water. They were already familiar with the place, having associated it with bath time since Ayra and Ally often brought them there to bathe.

Standing behind the twins, Commander Lynn and his two assistants folded their arms as they contemplated how to begin their task.

"Water... Bath..."

Suddenly, Minnie spoke.

All three men immediately turned to stare at her.

"Did she just speak?" Rai asked, and Kan nodded.

"I heard it too."

Commander Lynn was the most excited of them all. He immediately crouched down in front of the twins, his eyes shining with anticipation.

"What did you say? Can you say it again?"

He smiled at the two little ones, but they merely tilted their heads and stared at him.

"Come on... What is this?" He pointed towards the water. "What is that?"

"Water..." Minnie repeated with a smile.

Commander Lynn was overjoyed to finally hear his little ones speaking. He could hardly believe he was getting to witness this moment!

"Yes, yes! Water! And what do you do here?" he asked eagerly, hoping to hear more.

"Bath..." Kellie replied this time, sitting calmly as he stared into the water.

Commander Lynn smiled excitedly. He couldn’t believe his ears. Both of his little ones were finally speaking!

"Good, good! That’s wonderful!" He nodded enthusiastically before pointing to himself. "Now, what am I? I want to hear you say more. Call me Papa, okay?"

But the twins simply sat there in silence.

He tried again, leaning closer to them. "Come on... Papa! Call me that. Repeat after me, okay?"

Yet they remained silent. Commander Lynn persisted for a while longer, but neither of them seemed interested in cooperating.

Watching him, Kan and Rai could only shake their heads.

"Poor brother. He’s too engrossed in this. I wonder if that’s what happens when you have a cub," Rai remarked.

Kan nodded. "Probably."

He then smiled at Commander Lynn. "The smell is getting worse. You’re probably too busy admiring your little ones to notice."

Rai tried to offer some consolation. "Don’t worry, brother. With time, they’ll certainly be able to say your real name too, okay?"

Commander Lynn sighed as he stared at them. "That’s not comforting at all. Let’s get on with it."

They sat close to the water, staring at the little ones as they tried to figure out how to begin.

"From what I’ve learned, the first step is usually to clean them up in the water or something..." Kan said, scratching his head.

"You can’t just put them in like that," Commander Lynn argued. "We’re probably supposed to pour water over them..."

"Are you sure?" Kan tilted his head. "Putting them in the water would make it easier to get them properly cleaned."

"I don’t think so..."

Rai stood between them with their arms folded, watching the two men debate over the best way to bathe a pair of cubs.

After listening to them argue for a while, Rai finally let out an exhausted sigh and ran a hand through their hair and over their ear.

"You see... You actually have to remove Minnie’s clothing first..."

"..."

At that moment, Commander Lynn and Kan stopped arguing. They stared at each other before slowly turning towards Rai.

"Oh..."

"Makes sense..."

The two men nodded in agreement.

Rai sighed again. "So, who’s doing it? Someone needs to remove their clothing immediately so we can get this over with before the smell gets any worse."

"Oh, I’ll do that!" Commander Lynn declared confidently as he turned towards Minnie.

"I’ll help too," Kan announced, moving closer to assist him.

The two of them immediately set to work, trying their best to remove the little cub’s clothing without getting any poop on themselves.

However, as Rai watched their clumsy attempts, they couldn’t help slapping a hand over their face and rolling their eyes.
