Chapter 181: 181: Defending Mama

"What are you doing here now..? What plans do you have to harm everyone..?" Nyx questioned, his eyes viciously gleaming at Ayra as he slowly approached her.

Ayra got up to her feet, staring in his direction. She figured this day would come, and she’d have to face it.

"What is she talking about...?" Lord Ash asked Ayra. They had heard what Nyx said and were confused. "What does he mean by that...?"

Ayra stared at them and stared at Nyx. They didn’t know about the fact of what happened back at the Silvermoon tribe. They didn’t know what the real villainess had done to Nyx.

"She didn’t tell you all yet...?" Nyx glared at her as he said, "I guess she has an ulterior motive after all..." He said pointing towards her. "This female..."

And so Nyx spilled out what he went through in the hands of the beastmen in Silvermoon tribe. And especially all the tormenting Ayra had put him through.

"... I would have died there.. and here she is.. living here..?" He questioned, furious.

Everyone was quiet. They stood staring at Ayra and then at Nyx. For a moment, they didn’t have words to say after hearing this revelation.

Ayra didn’t plan for this. It was rather random so she wasn’t well prepared. At the moment, her brain went dumb.

Nyx scoffed. "You... I’ll make sure you pay for what you did to me..." He snapped.

"Evil beastman!" Ally instantly snapped, standing before Ayra in defense. "Stay away from mama! Evil! Stay away!"

But Nyx glared down at the little one, ignoring her and looking at Ayra. "I’ll make you feel all the pain you put me through..."

He approached but immediately the three triplet snakes snapped. The snakes were standing before him hissing and threatening Nyx while protecting Ayra.

Nyx stepped backward in clear fear, staring down at the snakes. The snakes hissed the more, approaching the wild cat and threatening him to stay back.

Nyx staggered backwards. But he was still set to leave Ayra. He wanted to maneuver the snakes and get Ayra but one of the snakes had bitten him.

"Ah!" Nyx instantly fell to his knees, holding the bitten spot in pain. "Ah.. this snake!"

Ayra wanted to approach to help but immediately Nyx glared at him. "Stay away from me..." His eyes gleamed in fury. The wild cat looked one that would explode anytime soon, and Commander Lynn pulled Ayra away to safety.

"Let him calm down.." Commander Lynn calmly said.

Ayra stared at the little snakes who had come circling around her. She shook her head, signaling them to stay calm. And they did.

"I’m sorry..." Ayra stared at the wild cat. "I know it won’t be enough for what happened.. but I’m genuinely sorry..."

"Mama! Don’t apologize to the evil beastman! He wants to hurt you, mama! Stay away! I’ll fight for you, mama!" Little Ally assured but Lord Ash pulled her back, while she kicked and struggled to fight.

Nyx glared at Ayra, holding his bitten spot. He didn’t speak but groaned at Ayra. Ayra was certain he wasn’t forgiving her at all.

Lord Zark stepped forward and turned to Ayra. "You should go to safety now.. and take the little ones with you..."

Lord Vale nodded in agreement.

Commander Lynn held Ayra as he said, "Let’s go..."

He took Ayra with him as Ayra carried the little red dragon sitting there as if nothing was happening. The snakes followed along with Little Ally as they left.

And the three tribe lords managed to calm Nyx down and took him away to their lair for more conversation.

Later that evening, Ayra was sitting down outside with her little ones with Rai and his peers. From time to time, the beastmen around stopped and took a look and admired the little cubs.

The triplet snakes were hovering around an apple dropped for them on the floor. Admiring and playing with it while consistently trying to lick it and eat it.

Rai and his peers admired the vibrant little snakes with a smile. The little dragon was sitting down peacefully while playing with his sticks. Little Ally was watching the dragon with a smile as she continuously tapped on his egg shell helmet.

Commander Lynn had left long ago. He and the tribe lords were said to be with Nyx in their lair, discussing for a long time now.

Ayra sat closely with a smile, watching them play with the little ones.

Rai stared up at Ayra, noticing she was worried. "Don’t worry. Nothing is going to happen to you! I’m sure the lords won’t do anything!"

Ayra smiled at him. "What’s that?"

Kan nodded in agreement. "We’ve heard all that happened and trust us, we trust you and believe that you’re different now."

Rai nodded. "True. The wild cat must have misunderstood you. So don’t worry, he’ll come around and understand how great you are."

"Mama is great," Ally insisted. "Cat is evil."

Ayra smiled at their words. "I guess so..." She sighed, staring in the distance direction. The sight of warrior beastmen practicing were seen ahead and some beastmen returning from their hunt.

"I wonder what they’re still doing in there.. I wonder if the wild cat is okay...." Ayra said.

"I heard the wild cat has been treated," Rai said, gently caressing one of the snakes. "From what I heard, the bite was a hard one! And since they’re still cubs, I think they’re S-rank snakes..."

Kan nodded. "True. Because it’s rare for a little snake’s bite to be that dangerous unless it’s an S-rank," he smiled. "Such chaotic little ones already. Protecting their mama."

Ayra stared at the snakes. "S-rank snakes, it’s given. Their father is an S-rank," she smiled at the dragon. "I wonder if the little dragon is also an S-rank."

Everyone stared at the little red dragon sitting there and playing with sticks. He had been calm and quiet since and didn’t do much.

"Maybe?" Jun, the blue bird, shrugged. They were still little so they couldn’t sniff to know. They could only wait for the manifestation.
