Chapter 179: 179: Eggs?

The first thing Ayra felt when she opened her eyes was the ears above her head.

She felt furry ears standing above her head, and another fur sticking out from behind. Confused, Ayra moved around in bed to feel herself more.

She could touch a tail sticking out from behind and two fox ears sticking out from her head.

"..." She blinked as she slowly sat up in bed. It came—she had fox ears and a tail now.

This was an improvement. In this beast world, F-rank beastmen didn’t have such abilities. They had no beast ears or tails, and they couldn’t even transform to their beast form. Some E-rank beastmen were the same.

This was rather embarrassing as it gave one a full human appearance which was looked down on by other beastmen. They didn’t consider such people part of the beastmen.

But becoming a D-rank female, Ayra was able to have ears and a tail now. And the higher she went, she’d be able to take beast forms possibly.

This was an upgrade to her status. Something worth marveling over.

"What’s that.. is that ears...?" Lord Vale had slowly sat up in bed, staring up at the brown fox ears sticking out from her head.

"And tail..." Lord Zark lay there, playing with her tail from behind. Ayra twitched at the touch. "Since when did you have it?"

Lord Vale sniffed through her. "D-rank..." He stared at her in amusement. "How did you upgrade so much..."

Ayra smiled as she felt her ears. "Well, I guess the gods were kind to me for my good deeds."

Lord Vale felt her ears with a smile while he felt proud. "Which means that you can also take a beast form now?"

Ayra shook her head. "Probably when I upgrade more to a C-rank female..."

Lord Zark ran a hand through his chin as he said, his fingers still playing with her tail. "How then do you upgrade...?"

"Maybe when you recharge with us..?" Lord Vale smiled, leaning closer to sniff her ears. His bare body was close to her that Ayra could feel the heat.

"Well..." Ayra pushed back. She couldn’t possibly tell them about the system tasks. "A long story.."

Just then, Ayra looked around to take a look at the eggs for the morning. "Let’s take the eggs out for some..."

The eggs were hatched and the little ones weren’t in there at all.

Ayra gasped. "What the..."

Immediately, Lord Zark sat up as he and Lord Vale stared at the scene. "How’s that...?"

They wore their loincloths and stepped down from the bed. All three gathering around the spot where the three eggs were supposed to be.

But the fact was that the red egg was gone. And the three white eggs were already hatched and there while the cubs inside were gone!

"How’s that possible..." Ayra was speechless. "How..."

Lord Zark turned. "Let’s calm down and set out. I’m sure they couldn’t have gone too far."

Ayra figured this was possible. These little ones were S-rank beastmen as well whose development would be fast!

She nodded. "Let’s go," she said as they turned to head out when Lord Ash instantly stepped in as well, now standing before them.

He stared at the three of them. Sniffing enough to stare at Lord Zark and Lord Vale.

"Shameless traitors. I left only for you two to stay back here and..." He shook his head. He could tell what happened.

"And..." Lord Ash’s eyes fell on Ayra. The ears and tail were still there, twitching and dangling. "You’re a D-rank female now...? How’s that possible?"

But Lord Vale said, "There’s no time for this now... The cubs are missing."

Lord Ash stared at the spot and also saw the view. "Huh.." he blinked as he turned to them. "I’m also here looking for Little Ally. She slept beside me in my room but I woke up and didn’t see her..."

"..."

Everyone stared at each other and then at Lord Ash, worried. They didn’t know the connection between these but they knew they had to find the little ones.

"Let’s go and look for them. I’m sure they’re around. Little Ally is smart enough not to cause any trouble," she explained.

They nodded as they made their way out. They arrived at the entrance and asked the guards if they noticed anything.

The guards were shocked too. They explained that they were standing there and didn’t even notice anything.

Lord Ash folded his arms as he said, "They’re already causing such chaos at a little age.."

And without hesitation, everyone set out and dispatched to begin looking for the little ones around the tribe in detail.

Ayra was in the company of the three tribe lords and Commander Lynn.

While they moved, Ayra had suggested that she could track them down.

"They’re my little ones.. hopefully I can sniff them out..." She had to believe her motherly instincts and nose to know where they were. And especially since she had unlocked her beast traits of ears and tail, she could feel her nose pick up faster.

They followed Ayra behind for a while, searching for the little ones until they finally arrived at the destination where her nose had led her to.

And there they were, standing at the entrance of the cave prison room where the beastman form of Nyx was kept.

And there, they were rather shocked to see Little Ally standing at the entrance, interacting with the guards at the entrance.

"I guess your nose was accurate..." Lord Ash said as they rushed to the scene.

On their arrival, Little Ally turned to them with a smile. Ayra quickly carried her in her arms, relieved. "What are you doing here? We were so worried about you."

But Little Ally stared up at her mother’s ears. "Mama! Pretty ears!" She wanted to play with the ears but Ayra said, "What are you doing here?" She inquired again as Ally stared at her.

"I came here for my little siblings," she explained.

"..." They stared at her confused.

"Huh? What are you talking about...?"

Little Ally turned to the cave entrance and pointed further. "They’re in there. The little eggs!"
