Chapter 163: 163: Waiting for The Cubs

The warrior rushed over to where the three tribe lords were standing with some of the tribe members and the antelope.

He was panting while he stopped with both hands over his knees. They stared at him. "What’s wrong? Why are you like that?" Lord Ash inquired.

The beastman panted for a while, catching his breath before he finally said, "The female.. the female..."

They all stared at him in suspense. The three tribe lords had instantly gotten worried wondering what could have happened to the female.

While the antelope stood there hopeful. He believed the news would be that the female was dead from trying to soothe the wild cat.

He was certain that she couldn’t have handled the wild cat after he had poisoned it. So he believed death was her calling!

"Speak up. What happened to Ayra?" Lord Ash demanded firmly with Ally in his arms.

But the beastman quickly caught himself as he said, "The female has gone in to deliver her cubs!"

As soon as he announced this, silence filled the atmosphere. At first everyone stared in shock and disbelief.

And immediately, smiles crept into the faces of Lord Zark and Lord Vale. This was grand news to them because they knew whose cubs were about being delivered!

Lord Ash let out a sigh of relief. "That’s great..." He smiled as he stared at him. "So does that mean she’s safe?"

The beastman nodded while explaining how Ayra had managed to soothe the wild cat to sanity. He added, "Now she’s been taken for delivery of the cubs."

Lord Zark and Lord Vale didn’t even waste much time at all. "Let’s go and meet the female. She needs us around," Lord Zark had said as he set off.

Lord Vale followed behind without saying anything.

Lord Ash turned around and informed the warrior beastmen to take care of the injured beastmen around while informing the rest to keep up the security while looking for the leopard.

After that, he turned and left with some beastmen to the scene.

The antelope was speechless. For a while he stood there unable to believe his ears. He couldn’t believe that this was possible.

"How did she..." He asked himself while shaking his head. "Not possible.. how is it.." he couldn’t believe that Ayra could soothe the wild cat and stay alive!

"How powerful can that F-rank female be...?" He asked worriedly. "Or does it have anything to do with that increment in rank...? E-rank is still nothing."

He thought but figured he’d still have to be around and see what the hell was happening. And so he left the scene to be at the scene.

Everything was arranged. They had summoned the old beastman who would be of assistance to the delivering of the cubs.

And then everyone stood outside and waited for news from within.

The three tribe lords and Commander Lynn didn’t stand firmly. They couldn’t. All they did was move from one place to another, pacing around nervously with endless thoughts running through their heads.

Ally was sitting down at a corner with Rai and Kan. All three staring as the four beastmen moved around aimlessly.

"You all are making me dizzy," Rai said, blinking as he stared up at the four of them.

"So dizzy," Ally shook her head, a hand over her head while she pouted.

The four of them paused and stared at each other and then down at them.

"Do you think she’s done?" Lord Zark asked.

"I don’t know. Should we check?" Lord Vale stared at him.

Rai raised an eyebrow as he said, "I’m pretty sure they’re not.. I mean, the female is still in pain..."

They could hear the female crying from within as she struggled to deliver the cubs.

"..." Lord Vale blinked.

Kan leaned closer to Rai as he said, "I think having cubs made the great smart Lord Vale lose his brains..."

"Yes..." Rai agreed.

"The great smart snake has lost his brains," Ally repeated with the two said with a bright smile as the four beastmen glared down at them.

The two boys immediately covered Ally’s mouth, panicking as they met the snake’s eyes. He didn’t seem pleased at all as they simply smiled to cover up.

A long while had passed and the female was still in there in pain. This had everyone worried now. They were all pacing around worried while Ally sat there staring at them.

"Papa, why is Mama crying?" Ally asked, tilting her head.

Lord Ash stared at her, thinking of what to say. "Eh.. mama is doing something important and it’s painful so... mama is.."

Ally blinked. "If it hurts, can’t mama stop?" She inquired.

"..." They all stared at each other. No beastmen certainly knew how to explain this to the little curious one.

On the other hand, the antelope was standing there nervous and lost in thoughts. He couldn’t stop his brain from roaming around possible things that could happen.

He couldn’t let the female establish her stay here with more cubs. He had to make them send her off. He had to make his plan of accusing her work.

And after some thoughts, he turned to the tribe lords and said, "...Some people are still in pain and suffering because of what the female did..." He started off saying to them.

"And who’s to blame? If you had let the female heal them first before letting your big mouth open, then they would be fine. So what now?" Lord Vale was quick to snap. He didn’t seem happy to see the antelope, especially with the nervous moment.

"..." The antelope was speechless at the unexpected clap back. But he couldn’t stop now. He had to take down the female.

"You there are the leaders of our tribe. So you have to be more professional with your work and show no bias. I have already given you the news that the female was the one behind all this. So I’m expecting some actions and justice for your people. Not cuddling her up."
