Chapter 156: 156: Slander

While the cat was down, everyone stared in confusion. It took them a while to understand what had happened, and when they did, the beastmen stared at the little fox speechless.

"Did she really...?" Rai was speechless.

"It looks like it..." Kan slowly nodded, shocked.

"Yes! Sit down! Bad cat!" Ally continued, fingers pointing to the cat while she reprimanded it. "That’s for hurting mama! Bad kitty!" she continued.

Ayra had taken the opportunity and stepped into the scene. And she instantly made her way to the wild cat that was growing weak, and instantly placed a hand over his forehead.

[Ding!]

[Berserk level going down]

[Host! Foreign substance making it hard to take down berserk level significantly. Host can only result to driving the wild cat into an unconscious level and then working towards intimate soothing]

Ayra gasped as she kept her hand over the forehead of the wild cat, struggling to keep the cat’s berserk level down.

"And how the hell is a substance in the wild cat... who could have possibly done that?" She muttered while thinking about who could have drugged the wild cat or something.

Lord Ash had gone back to his beastman form as he rushed towards Ally, picking her off her feet and holding her firmly.

"Are you okay?" He asked as Ally blinked at him.

She said, "Bad kitty is hurting mama..."

Lord Ash nodded with a smile. "Don’t worry, it’s okay."

[Ding]

[Host, to drive the Wild Cat into an unconscious state, turn right and make use of the wild herb sitting at a distance]

[Rub its liquid against wild cat’s nose as it will trigger the substance and displace wild cat into an unconscious state]

Ayra slowly nodded as she turned to Commander Lynn and then to the wild herb. "Get me that..." She instructed as Commander Lynn did so without questions.

He brought forth the wild herb and presented it to Ayra. Ayra took it and squeezed its liquid enough to get something to rub against the wild cat’s nostrils.

Immediately, the wild cat let out a wild growl while Ayra instantly stepped backwards. Commander Lynn pulled her off to safety while the wild cat erupted into reacting.

The wild cat moved its body wildly around the scene and then fell down to the ground, unconscious.

The chaos was brought to a calm as Ayra and Commander Lynn staggered to their feet, panting and staring at the wild cat that was on the floor, unconscious.

"Take the wild cat in.. I’ll have to begin working on the wild cat before it goes on another episode," she explained.

Commander Lynn nodded without questions as he turned to the warriors. He simply nodded at them as they began working towards carrying the wild cat off and back into the cave.

And while they did that, Ayra turned and rushed to Ally. Everyone gathered around Ally who was in Lord Ash’s arms.

"Are you okay?" Ayra gasped, panting while staring at Ally.

Ally smiled as she said, "I’m fine.." she stared at Ayra with a broad smile.

Ayra sighed as she slowly nodded. "That’s good... That’s good."

She guessed she couldn’t snap at the little one for coming into the scene. Because to some extent, she had literally saved their ass and helped them. She could only smile at her.

"Next time, don’t mess with such dangerous wild beasts.... It’s dangerous," Ayra explained as Ally nodded.

Just then, Ayra and others turned their attention to the scene. Ayra couldn’t help but feel pity at what she saw.

Beastmen on the floor, all hurt and bruising from the attack of the wild cat. Ayra sighed as she slowly approached some of them.

She stared as she slowly went down on her knees before one of them. Running her hand through their bruises, she made some effort into trying to heal some of them.

Ayra was trying to heal them one by one when the physician, the D-rank antelope, stood there at a distance staring.

He had his arms folded while he watched the female trying to heal the injured beastmen. He scoffed, the physician didn’t seem happy to see Ayra at all.

And with a smile, he guessed it was time to say something. And he stepped forward into the scene to speak.

"How interesting. How can you suddenly pretend to care and heal everyone when you’re the reason everyone is hurt like this?" He questioned Ayra.

Immediately, Ayra paused, looking up at him. Everyone around also paused as they stared at the physician, trying to understand what he was even talking about.

The antelope smiled as he said, arms folded, "Don’t play dumb with me at all, you should understand what I mean. You know what you did. A hypocrite evil F-rank female."

"You were the one who let out the wild cat to attack and hurt everyone. And now you’re suddenly caring and healing everyone? Is this part of your plan?"

Surprised and confused, everyone muttered while staring at the scene and trying to understand. Even Ayra was confused. "And what do you even mean...?" She asked.

The antelope gasped as he said, "Don’t play dumb! I know what you did. And I’ll expose you."

"I’ve always known an F-rank female like you would be a fake evil one who is here to just ruin everyone. So I’ve always been suspicious and keeping an eye on you. And now I know what you did."

"You released the wild cat and used your silly trick to trigger and manipulate the berserk level. And now the wild cat has injured a lot of people. And now you’re suddenly coming to save the day and healing people."

"This is clearly part of your plan to win everyone’s favor after using and harming the people. You vicious female. How can you pretend to be so nice when you intentionally hurt everyone here?!"

The antelope had his arms folded as he snapped at Ayra. Everyone paused, the affected beastmen all looking around in shock and staring at the female in confusion.

Ayra was the most shocked and confused. But she wasn’t surprised, she understood the slander going on here.
