Online Game: I Have A 100% Drop Rate

Chapter 303: Using Divine Answer, A Way To Hatch The Egg

“Isn’t the average level required for the special assessment around level ninety?” Emilia suddenly asked with slight concern. “I’m not sure you’ll even be able to complete it.”

“It’ll probably be difficult,” Leon admitted with a shrug. “But not impossible.”

With his current combat power, Leon felt capable of dealing with almost any challenge thrown at him.

And if he could clear the [Awakener District] quickly, then he would have far more time to explore other higher domains before being forced into the [Eternal Battlefield].

After all, level 100 was approaching faster than ever now. Only 25 more levels remained.

’25 levels before the battlefield,’ Leon thought while narrowing his eyes slightly. ’I need to grow as much as possible before then.’

Eventually, after spending several more hours exploring shops, streets, and different buildings across the district, the duo finally returned to their hotel.

The moment Leon opened the door to their room, he immediately glanced toward Celeste’s phoenix flame.

Thankfully, it remained exactly where they had left it.

The five skeleton warriors Leon summoned still stood around it motionlessly like loyal guardians.

Their cracked armor and rusted swords made them appear weak at first glance, but Leon knew each of them currently possessed terrifying combat power.

“You can rest,” Leon said while glancing toward Emilia. “I’ll stay awake.”

“The skeletons are already guarding us though,” Emilia protested immediately. “There’s no reason for you to force yourself to stay up.”

“If an overwhelming enemy appears, the skeletons will die immediately before we even have time to react,” Leon sighed. “And besides, I’m not tired anyway.”

That part was completely true. Even after everything he had gone through recently, Leon felt wide awake.

Perhaps it was because his mind remained too active to rest properly. Too many things had happened within such a short amount of time.

“…Alright,” Emilia finally nodded after a moment.

She eventually took a shower, brushed her teeth, and climbed into bed.

Within minutes, exhaustion finally overtook her. Meanwhile, Leon remained near the window while staring outside at the glowing city lights.

Then slowly, his gaze shifted back toward Celeste’s small flame.

A cold expression appeared on his face for a moment. Mathilde killing Celeste so casually had infuriated him more than he expected.

Not because Celeste would permanently die. But because Leon hated feeling powerless.

And Mathilde had made it painfully clear just how massive the gap between them still was.

“…Next time,” Leon muttered quietly, “things will be different.”

Then finally, he turned his attention toward another object entirely.

Fwoosh!

A massive egg suddenly appeared beside him, chaotic energy faintly leaked from within. The [Primordial Dragon of Chaos] egg.

Normally, Leon only summoned it occasionally to observe it. But this time was different. He had grown tired of waiting without answers.

If there truly existed a method to hatch the dragon quickly within the higher domains instead of waiting for the impossibly long natural incubation period, then Leon needed to know now.

Because depending on the answer, it could completely change his future plans.

Leon stared at the egg for several seconds before finally making his decision.

Without hesitation, he activated one of the three uses of [Divine Answer].

“Heavenly One,” Leon spoke calmly, “tell me how I can hatch the [Primordial Dragon of Chaos] quickly within the higher domains without waiting for the full hatching duration, within weeks or days would be preferred.”

Silence filled the room afterward. For a few seconds, absolutely nothing happened.

Even Leon wondered whether the skill had failed somehow.

But suddenly—

Ding!

A sharp sound echoed throughout the room.

Leon’s eyes immediately widened as an enormous golden panel slowly materialized before him, glowing so brightly that the entire chamber lit up.

And the moment Leon saw the first line appearing on the panel… A grin slowly spread across his face.

’Bingo.’

Ding!

[The “Primordial Dragon of Chaos” is an existence that stands above all others, even among dragons themselves, as it is considered the strongest dragon to ever exist and the being all dragons await.]

[Unable to contain its overwhelming power so easily, the hatching process naturally takes several millennia, though once the Dragon of Chaos awakens, its strength will rise at an unimaginable speed.]

[Legends state that it possesses enough power to battle even the gods at their full strength, allowing it to protect dragonkind should catastrophe ever descend upon them.]

[There does not seem to be any direct way to skip the hatching process…]

“…Are you serious?” Leon frowned deeply while staring at the golden panels floating before him. “I wasted one of my uses just to hear there’s no way around it? Answer me, Heavenly One!”

For a brief moment, nothing happened. Then another line slowly appeared beneath the previous messages.

[…Though there is a way to greatly accelerate the process.]

“Oh, never mind then,” Leon immediately muttered.

[Find the “Time Tower” located within “Higher Domain #1”. It is the only possible method, though failure there will permanently lock you out.]

The moment the final sentence appeared, all the golden panels shattered into particles of light before disappearing completely, leaving Leon standing alone inside the dark hotel room once more.

“Well,” Leon grinned while crossing his arms, “I guess [Divine Answer] really was worth it.”

He immediately reopened the skill’s description to confirm everything.

[Divine Answer (???): You may ask a question and the “Heavenly One” will answer with complete truth and certainty. (2/3 uses left)]

Much like the [Enhancement Frenzy Liquid], Leon now only had two uses remaining.

And just like before, he knew he needed to use them carefully. Still, the information he had just received was more than valuable enough.

Not only did the skill tell him exactly where to go, but it even explained the history and significance of the dragon itself.

The more Leon thought about it, the more absurd the [Primordial Dragon of Chaos] seemed.

A being capable of fighting the gods directly. Even Leon struggled to fully process how ridiculous that sounded.

And if the dragon truly reached its full strength one day while remaining loyal to him…

’Even the gods would panic,’ Leon thought while glancing toward the massive egg resting on the ground.

The description alone already proved how terrifying the creature was supposed to become.

Every dragon awaited its birth. Every god likely feared its possible existence.

Which meant Leon absolutely needed to hatch it as quickly as possible. Especially now that he knew there actually existed a way.

“The [Time Tower]…” Leon muttered quietly. “Guess I’m heading back to [Higher Domain #1].”

After that, Leon slowly shifted his focus away from the dragon egg and instead paid attention to something else entirely: the darkness surrounding him.

Normally, the hotel room should have been almost impossible to see through since only faint moonlight entered through the windows.

And yet Leon could see everything perfectly clearly. Not only that, but he could actually sense the shadows surrounding him. The darkness itself almost felt alive now.

Invisible currents of shadow flowed quietly through the room, and Leon could instinctively perceive all of them without effort.

His newly evolved SSS-Level sub-talent, [Essence of Darkness], was already affecting him.

Though strangely enough, Leon did not feel overwhelmingly different. At least, not physically.

Perhaps the changes were more subtle for now. Or perhaps there were hidden abilities he had yet to discover.

’There’s definitely more to this,’ Leon thought while narrowing his eyes slightly.

Still, no matter how much he analyzed the darkness around him afterward, he could not uncover anything else immediately.

And so, just like that, the remainder of the night quietly passed. Eventually, morning arrived.

Sunlight slowly entered through the curtains while the city outside gradually became noisy once more.

Emilia stretched lazily after waking up before rubbing her eyes.

“The stronger I get, the better sleeping feels,” she yawned while smiling. “This is amazing.”

“Heh.”

The two quickly ate breakfast together inside the hotel before preparing to leave.

Before stepping outside, Emilia carefully picked up Celeste’s phoenix flame once more and held it protectively in both hands.

“Nothing attacked us this night at least,” Emilia sighed in relief.

“The [Awakener Lord] doesn’t need to,” Leon answered calmly, though his expression had already turned colder. “He already knows I’m going to come to him eventually.”

Leon stepped outside the hotel and immediately glanced toward the distant tower separating the [Advanced District] from the [Awakener District].

The massive structure towered over the city like a giant spear piercing the heavens.

The [Awakener Tower]. Even from this distance, the pressure radiating from it was enormous.

Without another word, Leon began walking toward it while Emilia followed beside him.

As they moved through the streets, many players from countless different races turned toward them.

Some stared at Leon. Others stared directly at the flame Emilia carried.

At first, Leon wondered whether they simply sensed something with him or the flame.

But it did not take long for him to realize that was not the reason, at least, not for some of these people.

Because even though only a few knew about the phoenix’s flame, the two of them were suddenly approached by a group of players.
