Chapter 211: Heading To The Housing Area
Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Heading To The Housing Area
’The only good thing is that the [Eternal Battlefield] will be my best shot at growing stronger, since it holds the best opportunities,’ Leon thought, ’And I can stay there as long as I want as my level will be locked at 100.’
It would truly be the last thing between him and the [Eternal Domain], where the gods resided.
Even with all his strength though, Leon didn’t feel nearly as ready.
“We’ll stay in [Higher Domain #3] for now,” Leon finally said, “at least until we reach the [Awakener District] and see what it has.”
Then his eyes narrowed slightly.
“After that… we’ll go back to [Higher Domain #1].”
As the three of them began walking away from the B-Rank section, Leon briefly opened his [Storage Space] again, his gaze shifting toward one particular item.
[Tower of Souls Token (Mythical): Allows the user to enter the “Tower of Souls”, no matter what you do, do not do it.]
“….”
He stared at it silently. For some reason, he couldn’t explain it, but he had a strong feeling.
The [Tower of Souls]… It was probably located somewhere in [Higher Domain #1].
He could confirm it using [Divine Answer]. He had the means. But he didn’t.
Because deep down… He already knew.
And more importantly, he didn’t want to know more. His instincts were clear.
Whatever was waiting in that tower, it wasn’t something he would like.
Closing his [Storage Space], Leon exhaled quietly as he pushed those thoughts aside, returning his focus to the present.
By the time he snapped out of it, the three of them had already made their way back into the main [Market] section.
Just like before, it was crowded.
Players moved around constantly, browsing items, talking, negotiating, or simply observing.
And as soon as Leon, Celeste, and Emilia stepped out from the B-Rank hall… People noticed.
It wasn’t every day that someone came out of that section. In fact, it had likely never happened before for them.
Whispers started spreading almost immediately. But Leon didn’t care. He didn’t even look at them.
Instead, he simply summoned his [World Map] without hesitation.
“Let’s go,” he said calmly.
Celeste and Emilia didn’t question it. They both grabbed onto him instantly.
Fwoosh!
In the next moment, the three of them vanished, leaving behind a crowd of confused and curious players who could only stare at the empty space where they had just been.
When they reappeared outside, Emilia stretched slightly before smiling.
“Alright,” she said, clearly more relaxed now, “I know how housing works here, so we should be fine.”
Leon and Celeste nodded, trusting her knowledge.
“I’m kind of excited,” Emilia added with a small grin, “the C-Rank rooms were already pretty nice, so I wonder what the B-Rank ones look like.”
Leon smirked slightly,
“With our luck, they’re probably covered in dust.” He shrugged, “No one’s been there in over a year, so I doubt anyone bothered maintaining them.”
Emilia paused for a second before nodding slowly.
“…Yeah, that actually makes sense,” she admitted, scratching her chin lightly, “guess we’ll find out soon enough.”
And with that, the three of them moved forward together, heading toward their next destination.
…
After about an hour of walking through the different paths and streets of the [Newbie District], Emilia finally slowed her pace slightly as she raised her hand and pointed forward, clearly signaling that they were getting close to their destination.
Leon and Celeste followed behind her without questioning, trusting her sense of direction since she was the only one among them who had actually explored this part of the district before.
Leon, however, didn’t remain idle during that time, as he briefly summoned his [World Map] once more.
His gaze scanned across it carefully, and the moment he did, something new happened that made him pause for just a second.
Every section of the [Newbie District] was now fully revealed, the fog that had previously covered certain areas disappearing completely, allowing him to see the layout in its entirety.
And among the various icons that appeared, one in particular caught his attention almost immediately.
A small house-shaped symbol appeared near their current position, accompanied by the text [Housing Area].
“So that’s how it works…” Leon muttered quietly to himself as he studied the map a little more.
From what he could see, the [Newbie District] alone was massive, easily comparable to a small city back in the real world, with enough space to accommodate hundreds of thousands of players at once without feeling overcrowded.
And that wasn’t even taking into account the fact that a large portion of those players would constantly be inside [Realms], which reduced the number of people roaming the streets at any given time.
It was an efficient system.
Everything was organized. Everything had a purpose.
And more importantly, everything was under control.
By the time Leon dismissed the [World Map], the three of them had already reached the area Emilia had been guiding them toward, and as they stepped into it, their surroundings changed slightly.
In front of them stood several buildings aligned neatly along the street, each one clearly serving as some form of lodging.
Yet despite sharing the same purpose, none of them looked exactly the same.
Some were small and poorly maintained, with cracked walls and worn-out entrances, while others looked more stable and clean, giving off a much more comfortable impression.
But the one thing they all had in common was the symbol placed above their entrances: their rank.
Each building displayed a large letter indicating the level of players allowed to enter.
And it didn’t take long for Leon to notice the pattern.
The lower the rank… the worse the building looked.
For example, the ones labeled F-Rank were easily the worst.
They looked like they could fall apart at any moment.
“I actually took a room there once,” Emilia said with a slightly awkward smile as she pointed toward one of the worst-looking buildings, “just to see what it was like and… yeah, let’s just not talk about it.”
Leon raised an eyebrow slightly, “That bad?”
“Worse than the slums,” Emilia replied without hesitation.
“Damn,” Leon muttered under his breath.
It was clear. F-Rank players weren’t just treated poorly.
They were treated as if they barely mattered.
And while Leon didn’t particularly care about hierarchy, he couldn’t deny that the difference in treatment between ranks was extremely obvious in this place.
