Chapter 187: Market Section, To The Hellish Beach Realm

Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Market Section, To The Hellish Beach Realm

Ding!

[Welcome to the “Market” section of the “Awakener Association”]

[You can head into halls at or below your rank, improve it if you wish to acquire the better items!]

The space before them opened up into several massive halls, each one labeled clearly with a rank: F-Rank, E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank.

And finally… B-Rank.

The difference in activity between them was obvious.

The F-Rank and E-Rank halls were filled with players, while the higher-ranked halls gradually became quieter.

And the B-Rank hall? Completely empty. Not a single person was inside.

“I can enter up to C-Rank,” Emilia said as she casually walked forward toward the higher-ranked section.

Fwoosh!

A transparent veil shimmered briefly as she passed through it without any resistance.

Leon stepped forward right after her, curious to see if he could do the same.

But the moment he reached the barrier—

Bump!

He was stopped instantly. A faint force pushed him back slightly, and a panel appeared before him.

[You are currently F-Rank, please improve your rank first.]

[Any further attempts will result in “punishment”]

Leon raised an eyebrow slightly as he read that.

“Punishment?” he muttered, clearly intrigued.

“I don’t know what it is,” Emilia said as she stepped back out of the C-Rank section, shaking her head slightly.

“Damn,” Leon muttered, though there was a faint hint of curiosity still lingering in his expression.

For a brief moment, it almost looked like he was considering testing it anyway.

But in the end… He simply shook his head.

“Alright,” he said with a small smile, “We’ll check out the higher-ranked items after we complete the quest.”

He glanced toward the empty B-Rank hall one last time before turning away.

“For now… let’s focus on clearing that quest.”

Hearing that, both Emilia and Celeste nodded without hesitation.

Because unlike the others in this place… They actually had a real chance of completing it.

And without wasting another second, the three of them turned and began heading toward the [Realms] section.

Leon, Celeste and Emilia left the [Market] section without wasting any more time.

All three of them silently agreed that they would come back once they reached B-Rank, as there was clearly much more to explore there.

Especially with the higher-tier halls locked behind rank restrictions, and considering the amount of [Eternal Coins] Leon currently had, there was no doubt that the [Market] would become extremely valuable in the near future.

’The items in the [Advanced District] and [Awakener District] should be very good too,’ Leon’s eyes glinted.

Right after that, they followed the path that led deeper into the [Awakener Association], heading straight toward the [Realms] section.

And once they stepped inside…

“Yeah… this is definitely the busiest place,” Leon muttered as his eyes scanned the area.

The chamber in front of them was absolutely massive, far larger than any of the previous sections they had seen.

It was completely filled with players, easily tens of thousands of them moving around, simply preparing themselves before entering one of the [Realms].

The sheer scale of it made Celeste pause for a moment as she looked around, her eyes widening slightly.

“There’s… so many people,” she said quietly, clearly a bit overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

“That’s because this is where everything happens,” Emilia replied calmly as she continued walking forward, clearly more used to this environment after spending some time here already.

In the center of the chamber, six large pathways stretched outward, each one leading to a different [Realm].

Above each path, glowing text hovered in the air, clearly indicating their destinations: [Snowy Mountain], [Enchanted Forest], [Shadow March]…

Each path had a steady flow of players going in and out, some returning injured, others leaving with determination in their eyes.

But among all of them… One path stood out.

It was the one furthest from the entrance, almost isolated compared to the others, and most importantly, it had the least amount of players near it.

Above it, the glowing text read: [Hellish Beach].

“Here it is,” Leon said as a small grin formed on his face, already walking toward it without hesitation.

Celeste and Emilia exchanged a quick glance before following right behind him.

As they got closer, the atmosphere subtly shifted.

There were still players nearby, but unlike the other paths, no one seemed eager to enter this one.

It was clear that this realm had a reputation.

But just as the trio was about to enter the hall leading to it…

“Hold on.”

A voice suddenly stopped them.

Leon immediately turned his head, his eyes landing on a man wearing a long robe, standing calmly a few meters away from them.

The robe itself was simple, but there was one detail that stood out immediately.

A golden insignia shaped like a vortex, with the letter “A” embedded within it.

Leon frowned slightly, not recognizing it. But before he could say anything…

“That’s the symbol of the [Awakener Association],” Emilia whispered quietly, stepping slightly closer to him, “It means he’s a native.”

“Oh.”

That explained it.

The man slowly approached them, his gaze calm but observant as he looked at each of them one by one.

“I have noticed that both your ranks and levels are… fairly low,” he said in a composed tone, “It is not advised to enter the [Hellish Beach] in your current state.”

His voice wasn’t aggressive, nor was it mocking.

Natives in this domain also had access to the player’s information including their [Awakener Panels], which meant that he could clearly see that Leon and Celeste were only F-Rank, while Emilia was C-Rank.

To him, this probably looked like a group walking straight into danger without understanding what they were doing.

“And that quest…” the man continued, his gaze narrowing slightly as if recalling something unpleasant, “It is not advised to—”

“We’ll be fine.”

Leon cut him off without hesitation, his tone neutral but firm as he continued walking forward.

The man paused for a moment, watching Leon’s back as he walked away, then simply nodded slightly.

“Alright.” He didn’t try to stop them again.

Instead, he returned to his position, his eyes shifting toward the other players in the area, ready to assist anyone else who might need guidance.

Meanwhile, Leon, Celeste and Emilia continued forward, stepping into the hall marked with the [Hellish Beach] text above it.

The further they walked, the quieter it became.

The noise from the main chamber slowly faded behind them, replaced by a more focused, tense atmosphere.

And eventually…

“Here it is,” Emilia said with a small smile, gesturing forward.

At the end of the hall, inside a smaller chamber, stood the portal.

The room itself already reflected the nature of the realm.

The ground was covered in fine sand, warm under their feet, and the air had a slightly humid, tropical feel to it.

And in the center of the room…

A massive swirling portal hovered, its beige color rotating slowly, the energy within it distorting the air around it.

There were a few players inside the room as well, but none of them were entering yet.

Leon didn’t even glance at them.

“I’ve mainly been in the [Enchanted Forest] these past few days,” Emilia explained as she stood beside him, “So I understand how [Realms] work, but this one might be completely different, especially at higher difficulty, so be careful.”

“Got it,” Celeste nodded, her expression turning slightly more serious now.

Leon simply nodded as well, his attention already fully on the portal.

He stepped forward. And the moment he did…

Ding!

[Select the “Hellish Beach” realm’s difficulty:]

[Hell] [Nightmare]

Leon raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Damn,” he muttered, “No wonder people say it’s hard.”
