Chapter 156: Celeste’s Status Panel, SS-Level Eternal Embers Talent
Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Celeste’s Status Panel, SS-Level Eternal Embers Talent
Leon had asked Celeste to accompany him because he felt that the timing was right.
To be honest, he had not truly expected her to agree.
Considering everything she had possibly gone through, especially the ambush from the members of the Imperial Guild, it would have been perfectly understandable if she had decided to continue alone.
Yet things had changed slightly. Leon had saved her twice now.
The first time was during the confrontation with Alexander and his group, and the second time was only a few minutes ago when the Wild Plant King had nearly struck her from behind.
Those moments had probably softened her view of him.
“It’s the first time I ever accept,” Celeste said with a gentle smile while patting the small phoenix resting on her head. “Let’s be partners.”
Her voice was calm, but Leon could sense that this decision had not been made lightly.
Celeste slowly extended her hand toward him.
Leon looked at it for a brief moment before extending his own hand as well.
Their hands met in a firm handshake. And just like that, it was official.
Celeste had joined his party. Including himself, the group now had three people.
He would need to tell Emilia about it eventually, but he was almost certain she would not mind.
In fact, she might even be happy about it.
The more members they had, the easier it would become to deal with stronger monsters and dangerous situations.
Numbers mattered in a world like this.
A larger team meant more damage, more defense, and better coordination during battles.
“Alright,” Leon looked at the horizon, “The [Vine Plains] are probably level 50-65 zone probably.”
That was only an estimation, but it was a reasonable one.
Most of the monsters they had encountered were around level fifty or slightly higher, and the boss they had just killed, the Wild Plant King, had been level sixty-five.
It made sense for the area to be designed for players within that range.
Of course, this was only one region of [Higher Domain #1]
There would undoubtedly be many other zones beyond this one.
But for now, Leon focused on the present.
“And we only have around an hour left,” he continued. “After that, we’ll head toward the event.”
Celeste tilted her head slightly.
“Is it worth it?” she asked. “I’m worried the Imperial Guild or other players might appear again…”
Her concern was understandable.
Since arriving in the Higher Domain, she had already been targeted multiple times.
She had tried to avoid killing them whenever possible. But sometimes she had no choice.
If someone tried to kill her, she had to defend herself.
Leon scratched the back of his head slightly before responding.
“It’s fine,” he said with a confident grin. “I don’t think they’ll be much of a problem now. At least not for me.”
That was not arrogance. Leon simply knew his own strength.
He couldn’t deny that there were some very impressive and powerful players in the [Higher Domains].
But as of now, since they had only just entered, he wasn’t too bothered.
Hearing his confident tone, Celeste couldn’t help but nod.
A small smile appeared on her face, “Thanks, Celestial.”
Leon blinked once as he heard that.
Celeste had obviously seen the global announcement before.
Seeing the real person behind that name probably made it easier for her to trust his confidence.
But something else suddenly occurred to him.
She had called him Celestial. Not Leon.
“The name’s Leon,” he said. “You can check my [Status Panel] if you want. I don’t mind.”
Celeste’s eyes brightened slightly.
“Oh,” she said happily. “Thank you! You can call me Celeste… and you can call her Pyra!”
“Kyu~!”
The tiny phoenix sitting on her head flapped its fiery wings excitedly.
At the same time, Celeste opened one of her panels and quickly sent her complete [Status Panel] to Leon.
Normally, Leon’s Appraisal skill could only reveal part of another player’s information.
But if someone willingly shared their panel, then everything became visible.
A new window appeared before Leon.
—
[Name: Celeste Flamoir]
[ID: UndyingPhoenix]
[Level: 56]
[Title: Rebirth Frenzy, Slayer II]
[World: Undying (High-Level)]
[Talent: Eternal Embers (SS-Level)]
[Skills: Advanced Spearmanship (Rare Lv.3), Ember Ball (Uncommon Lv.4), Eye of Fury (Epic Lv.2), Flame Clone (Legendary Lv.1), Flame Throw (Elite Lv.1)]
[Sub-Talents: Strength Enhancement (D-Level)]
[Combat Power: 332,490]
—
Leon carefully studied the information. It was definitely interesting.
Celeste possessed several powerful skills, including a Legendary one.
However, most of them were still at relatively low levels. Her sub-talents were also quite limited.
Still, two things immediately stood out: her SS-Level Talent. And her Title.
Both of those were extremely valuable.
Together, they likely placed her among the stronger players in the Higher Domains at this stage.
“What does your talent and title do?” Leon asked calmly. “I need to know.”
If they were going to work together, understanding each other’s abilities was important.
Leon was already thinking about ways he could help her become stronger.
Improving her sub-talents and equipment would be a good starting point.
Celeste nodded and answered immediately.
“Rebirth Frenzy reduces my revive time from one week to three days.”
Leon’s eyebrows rose slightly, “Oh?”
That was incredible. Phoenix players already possessed the ability to revive after death.
But the downside was the long cooldown.
Normally, it took an entire week before they could return.
Reducing that time to three days was a massive advantage.
“And what about Eternal Embers?” Leon asked.
Celeste hesitated slightly, “I’m… confused about that one too.”
“How?” Leon asked.
“Well…”
She tapped on her panel for a moment before sending another window to Leon.
—
[Eternal Embers (SS-Level): Allows you to use different types of embers, each one stronger than the last, to scorch your enemies.]
[You may unlock more “Embers” by ???]
—
“I won’t deny that the embers I have are extremely powerful as they helped me get attributes after each kill,” Celeste explained. “But I feel like having more types would make it even stronger… I just don’t know how to unlock them.”
Leon stared at the panel while rubbing his chin.
Even he was puzzled. The talent clearly had hidden mechanics. But the requirements were unknown.
And since Leon had never encountered this exact talent in his previous life, his past knowledge was useless here.
“I guess we’ll figure it out eventually,” he said after a few seconds. “For now, it should be fine.”
Celeste nodded.
Once the discussion ended, Leon closed the panel and shifted his attention to his Storage Space.
He still hadn’t properly checked the items that had dropped from the monsters.
Several notifications appeared.
[Carnivorous Plant Essence x3: Consuming will increase Constitution by 16.]
[Mutated Carnivorous Plant Essence: Consuming will increase Agility by 15 and Constitution by 20.]
[Wild Plant King Essence: Consuming will increase Constitution by 50, Strength by 30, and Agility by 25.]
[Vine Armor x4 (Uncommon)]
[Vine Boots x4 (Elite): +1,200 Agility, +800 Constitution.]
[Sub-Talent Scroll: Deep Earth Affinity (B-Level)]
And finally…
Two items that looked far more valuable than the rest.
[Skill Book: Vine Cataclysm (Legendary). Requirement: Defeat the “Wild Plant King”.]
[Plant King Flower (Legendary): +1,000 Agility, +1,500 Constitution, +1,300 Strength. Equipping this item will prevent the vines of the “Will of Nature” from attacking you. Requirement: Defeat the “Wild Plant King”.]
“Oh?”
Leon couldn’t help but grin. Those rewards were excellent.
Meanwhile, Celeste checked her own [Storage Space].
Unfortunately, she hadn’t received nearly as many items.
Aside from a few essences, there wasn’t much else.
Leon, on the other hand, decided to start immediately. He consumed all the essences.
Nom!
[+118 Constitution, +40 Agility, +30 Strength.]
“Nice.”
He then moved on to the equipment, fusing the [Vine Armor and [Vine Boots].
In the end, two of the enhancements worked.
This left him with a [Vine Armor +2].
But more importantly, he obtained [Vine Boots +2].
[Vine Boots +2 (Elite): +1,500 Agility, +1,000 Constitution.]
Those were significantly better than the [Darkness Fur Boots +4] he was currently wearing.
Without hesitation, Leon replaced them.
Then he turned his attention to the Legendary skill book.
Fwish!
Leon poured mana into it.
The book dissolved into glowing particles that flowed into his body.
A notification appeared.
[You have learned the skill “Vine Cataclysm (Legendary)”]
[Vine Cataclysm (Legendary): Summon multiple vines from the ground to attack and restrain your enemies.]
“Nice.”
A new skill was always welcome. Especially a Legendary one.
As for the [Sub-Talent Scroll], he didn’t need to learn it since he already had [Master of Elements (SS-Level)]
Leon was about to close the panel and move on to the final item.
But suddenly—
Ding!
A familiar notification appeared.
[“Celestial Hand” has activated on “Wild Plant King”.]
[Please choose one of the items dropped.]
[1. Wild Plant King Essence.]
[2. Skill Book: Vine Cataclysm (Legendary).]
[3. Plant King Flower (Legendary).]
[4. Sub-Talent Scroll: Deep Earth Affinity (B-Level)]
Leon froze for a second. Then a slow grin spread across his face.
“Oh.” His eyes gleamed with interest, “I guess that’s… good.”
