Chapter 134: Reaching Another Lower Domain, Casting A Forbidden Spell

Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Reaching Another Lower Domain, Casting A Forbidden Spell

Ding!

[You have appeared in “Lower Domain #78”]

[Domain Travel Cooldown: 23 Hours 59 Minutes 58 Seconds.]

Two translucent panels hovered quietly before Leon’s eyes as the violent distortion of space finally settled.

He stared at them calmly, his expression neutral, though there was a faint light in his gaze that betrayed his inner excitement.

The first panel simply confirmed what he had already felt the moment his surroundings stabilized: he had successfully arrived in [Lower Domain #78].

He slowly lifted his head and examined the environment around him: an endless desert stretched in all directions

“So this is the starting [Hard] zone of this domain,” Leon murmured quietly.

As said before, every [Lower Domain] followed a similar structural pattern but might not have the same things in them.

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

’I really am in another [Lower Domain],’ he thought, the realization filling him with a restrained but undeniable thrill. ’Incredible.’

In his previous life, inter-domain travel between [Lower Domains] had been nothing more than an impossible rumor.

No one had ever accomplished it.

And even in the [Higher Domain], traveling between domains was rather difficult at the start, as there were some specific conditions related to it.

For Leon though… he didn’t need to worry about that.

The ability granted by his [World Map] made such limitations meaningless.

His gaze shifted to the second panel, which displayed the cooldown.

Twenty-four hours before he could teleport again.

That detail did not concern him in the slightest.

His objective was simple: eliminate threats before they had the chance to mature into future catastrophes.

Without another thought, Leon leaned forward and shot across the desert at full speed.

Sand erupted behind him as he accelerated.

The wind whipped past his ears, but his focus remained steady as he advanced deeper into this unfamiliar domain.

[Hub City] was present in every [Lower Domain] so this part was the same.

But as he reached the place where [Moon City] usually was… Instead, he found a completely different city.

“Damn, I guess it really is all different.”

Pale stone walls rose elegantly from the ground, intertwined with blooming vines and vibrant flowers.

The entire city carried a serene, natural aesthetic that sharply contrasted with the cold moonlit architecture he was accustomed to.

Above its gates floated glowing letters: [Flower City]

Leon slowed briefly, taking in the sight.

If he had to guess, this city likely worshipped the [Goddess of Nature] rather than the [God of the Moon].

’But wait, does that mean every [Lower Domain] has a different figure they worship here, but that would mean…’

Leon looked down, but he shook his head, it didn’t matter.

He passed the city without stopping, ignoring the guards and players alike.

His presence created only a fleeting gust of wind as he continued forward.

Roughly ten minutes later, the terrain changed once more.

A thin layer of mist began spreading across the ground, gradually thickening until visibility dropped noticeably.

He had reached the [Land of Mist]. Leon moved through it without hesitation.

Because Leon had already killed it in his own domain, it seemed like he didn’t need to fight the [Crystal Mist Guardian] again.

The mist parted as he advanced, offering no resistance.

Eventually, he emerged on the other side and soon caught sight of another massive city in the distance: [Myriad Race City]

He barely spared it a glance.

“Not important,” he muttered.

His destination lay further ahead.

He continued moving, crossing terrain rapidly until, at last, a dark and ominous structure rose into view.

“There it is.”

Before him stood a towering stronghold constructed from black stone.

Its walls were lined with jagged spikes, and a faint murderous aura seemed to linger in the air around it.

The atmosphere was oppressive, heavy with hidden intent.

A panel appeared instantly.

Ding!

[This is the “Shadow Assassin Guild’s” stronghold, please do not approach or you will be killed.]

Leon’s eyes narrowed slightly as a slow smile spread across his face.

He had found his target.

In the future, many members of the [Shadow Assassin Guild] would submit to the [God of Darkness].

Through complete and absolute submission, they would gain immense power, far beyond what ordinary players could achieve.

An their leader, Adrien, would benefit the most, naturally.

Even so, Leon knew that among all servants of the [God of Darkness], that leader would not even rank within the top hundred.

Divine power distribution was far from equal.

Some individuals received overwhelming enhancements, while others gained far less.

Leon did not know the exact criteria used to determine these differences.

But compatibility and affinity undoubtedly played major roles.

Those whose nature aligned closely with a particular god seemed to receive greater blessings.

It was even possible that someone might possess strong compatibility with one god yet choose to serve another.

Leon dismissed the thought. None of that mattered now.

Because in this life, the [Shadow Assassin Guild] would never reach the point of meeting the [God of Darkness].

Leon twirled his staff once in his hand as mana began gathering around him.

’I can’t risk any of them escaping,’ he thought calmly. ’It needs to end in a single strike.’

He was powerful enough to storm the stronghold and eliminate them individually, but that method carried unnecessary risk as Adrien could escape.

He required certainty: total annihilation.

And for that, there was only one suitable option.

A panel appeared before him.

[Forbidden Skills/Spells: Oblivion Meteor]

Leon’s grin widened. In his past life, he had never once cast a [Forbidden Spell].

He had neither possessed the power nor the opportunity.

Now, however, things were different. This would be his first.

He closed his eyes and focused deeply.

Mana surged from his core, flowing outward in dense waves.

The air around him grew heavy, and even the sunlight above seemed to dim slightly as if reacting to the gathering power.

His surroundings faded from awareness as he concentrated entirely on the tip of his staff.

After several seconds, a faint sound echoed. The spell recognized him.

Energy flooded into the forming construct above, and the ground beneath his feet trembled violently.

Earth lifted into the air, swirling around him as the aura intensified.

Anyone nearby would have felt crushing pressure from the sheer magnitude of the mana being released.

And when the buildup reached its peak, Leon opened his eyes and raised his staff high before bringing it down with decisive force.

OBLIVION METEOR!

The sky above the [Shadow Assassin Guild]’s stronghold tore open, splitting apart as though reality itself had been pierced.

A massive purple vortex formed overhead, swirling ominously as dark energy poured from within.

Then, from that rift, the meteor emerged.

It was colossal, nearly half the size of the stronghold itself.

Purple flames engulfed its surface, and a thick trail of dark energy followed in its wake as it descended at terrifying speed.

The air howled under the pressure of its approach, and shockwaves rippled outward across the place.

However, the moment Leon completed the cast, his body faltered.

He dropped to one knee, breathing heavily.

“Damn…” he muttered under his breath.

The toll was severe.

Casting a [Forbidden Spell] was fundamentally different from using ordinary magic.

The mana consumption was immense.

’I can probably only use this once per day,’ he assessed grimly. ’Any more than that might kill me.’

Even so, he lifted his head and watched.

His eyes gleamed coldly as the enormous meteor descended toward the stronghold, and a wide grin spread across his face as he imagined the chaos unfolding within.

To Leon, what he was doing was not cruelty. It was prevention.

Because the slaughter they would commit in the future, once empowered by the [God of Darkness], would be far worse than anything happening now.

And the [Oblivion Meteor] continued its unstoppable descent.
