Online Game: I Can Evolve My Summons Endlessly
Chapter 27: Mind Realm.
Rays of sun were entering through the open windows; they stretched across the floor and painted it whole in gold. A gentle breeze passed by it, making the inside slightly chilly.
Six beds were placed in the room; three were on one side, and the other three were on the other, all six of them facing each other. On each, a blanket and a pillow were kept.
A table was kept next to the wall, between the beds. On it, a jar filled with water was placed, and next to it were glasses.
Emil didn’t waste any more time as he sat on the bed which was closest to the door. He lay down on it and closed his eyes as he stepped inside his mind realm.
Minutes later, he found himself standing in the middle of the desert, and loo was flowing through the surroundings, which made the temperature even hotter.
His gaze swept across the area as he noticed that he was standing right in front of Atlas. Atlas was sitting on a wooden bench; his huge battle axe rested beside him. Atlas’s hair was swaying smoothly because of the loo; the diamond in his chest shone brighter than it does in the real world.
The moment Atlas noticed Emil, he immediately dropped to one knee and lowered his head in silent respect.
Emil instinctively took a step back. He still hadn’t grown accustomed to being treated this way. Raising both hands, he said. "You don’t have to do that, Atlas. Stand up."
Atlas followed his command and straightened his back once again. Emil’s attention turned towards the area where a huge metal door stood. But this time, there was no door. Instead, the city stretched out before him, as though the entrance itself had vanished.
Emil’s irises shrank, which let him take a good look; he wondered if he was seeing it wrongly. He rubbed his eyes once, but still the vision in front of him didn’t change. "What?! The door isn’t there anymore?" He muttered to himself.
He looked at Atlas and pointed at the city which lay in front of them. "Can we both go there?"
Atlas didn’t say anything for a while, but then extended his hand, gesturing for Emil to start moving.
Emil gulped once, but he still walked because he didn’t have any other choice. Atlas walked behind his trail silently; his battle-axe remained in his firm grip. When he entered the city, he noticed that the houses were made of polished terracotta marble, a fine lining of gold was done at their edges, and each house had floor-to-ceiling windows.
Emil looked around him to locate any other living being, but there wasn’t anyone in his sight. The only possible way to find them was to keep exploring, and he did so. He walked deeper inside the city; as he passed by the houses, he noticed several lakes scattered throughout the city. However, the liquid filling them didn’t appear to be water. Instead, it shimmered with a bright glow, as though it were made of an entirely different substance.
But it wasn’t on his priority list, so he let the questions related to this sit inside his mind. Soon they reached a huge shrine, and around it colossal walls were made.
Faint murmurs drifted from inside, a clear sign that people were gathered within. A bright smile spread across Emil’s face as he stepped into the shrine, with Atlas following silently behind him.
There were multiple beastmen in there; some stood in groups, and some were sitting on the ground patiently waiting for something.
They all were almost the same height as Atlas, though he remained a little taller than the rest of them. Every one of them had a muscular frame. Some were much more heavily built, while others had smaller frames, but none of them lacked muscles. Their hair was black, with some keeping it short and others letting it grow long.
Crystals were embedded in different parts of their bodies. Some had one in the centre of their chest, others in their arms, and a few in their stomachs. Even though the positions were different, every single one of them had a crystal. They also had tails, making it clear that they all belonged to the same race.
A man stood in front of the gate that led inside the shrine; he seemed older than the others, and wrinkles stretched across his face as the diamond inside his stomach shone slightly less when compared with the others.
Some of them glanced towards the entry gate the moment their eyes fell upon Emil. Their warrior spirit enraged, their blood started to ignite not because of fear but because of sheer respect. Their warrior instincts screamed at them to get up, lower their heads, and pay their respects.
All of them stood up instinctively, bowing their heads, and in unison they shouted. "Glory to the heir."
Emil’s attention turned towards them; his pupils widened to the extent that they could fall out of their sockets. Multiple thoughts jumbled inside his mind. ’Heir? Are they referring to me? Why are they calling me an heir?’
Before he could overthink any more, the old man who stood in front of the shrine finally walked towards Emil. He got on both of his knees and joined his hands together as his gaze remained stuck at the ground. "Glory to the heir. Glory to the Valthorians."
’Valthorians? What is this? What is this old man talking about suddenly?’ Emil questioned inwardly.
"Why are you all kneeling in front of me?" Emil asked, curiosity dripping through his tone.
Without lifting his gaze, the old man answered respectfully. "How can we not pay our respects to the Heir?"
Emil’s forehead curled; he definitely didn’t understand anything from his words. A sigh left his mouth as he continued. "You don’t have to bow, so please stand back up."
