Chapter 132: Chapter132-An Army of One!

[Void Emissary] originally had a base cooldown of six minutes.

But John’s [CD-- ×2] had already reduced the cooldown of equipment skills to zero.

Meanwhile, each summon lasted a full four hours.

And the MP cost was only 400.

With his current kill speed,

[Mana Reflux] was constantly restoring his mana.

In that case...

Why stop at four?

John glanced down at the Void Staff.

"Void Emissary."

Buzz!

Four spatial rifts opened.

Another four black-armored emissaries stepped out.

John raised his hand again.

"Void Emissary."

Four more.

Again.

Black spatial rifts opened one after another across the battlefield.

Towering Void Emissaries continuously emerged.

A dozen.

Dozens.

Before long—

their number surpassed one hundred.

The moment John’s MP dropped,

a flood of kill notifications appeared in the distance.

His mana rapidly recovered.

Keep summoning!

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz—!

Spatial fluctuations across the battlefield grew denser and denser.

A black army composed entirely of Void Emissaries began to take shape.

Every single one of them

possessed 400% of John’s core attributes!

[Strength: 9,332]

[Constitution: 9,332]

[Agility: 9,332]

[Wisdom: 9,332]

[Master’s Bond] also allowed John to issue unified commands to all of them directly.

John raised the Void Staff.

Then pointed toward the Darkkin army.

"Advance."

BOOM!

The Void Emissaries at the very front charged out simultaneously.

Immediately afterward—

the massive black army behind them surged forward as one!

Chaos greatswords swung again and again.

Black blade waves tore across the battlefield.

The instant the Darkkin front line made contact—

huge gaps were ripped straight through their formation.

"Stop them!"

"Form ranks!"

"Ranged units, focus fire!"

Dense attacks immediately rained down on the Void Emissary army.

The next second—

[Armor of Chaos] activated.

Reflected True Damage surged back like a tidal wave!

An entire group of Darkkin ranged units collapsed on the spot.

Even when a Void Emissary was occasionally killed by concentrated fire—

after a brief moment,

black energy gathered once more.

And it stood back up.

[Undying and Indestructible!]

The black army continued advancing.

Faster and faster.

Viewed from above,

the mass of Void Emissaries resembled a pitch-black flood.

It crashed straight into the Darkkin formation.

The Darkkin army that had been relentlessly pressing toward Dawnstar City—

was forced backward for the first time!

...

On the city wall—

White_Bear cut down the enemy in front of him.

Breathing heavily, he raised his head.

Then froze.

"Horus."

"Look over there."

Horus followed his gaze.

His mouth slowly fell open.

"..."

In the distance—

a black army was pushing the Darkkin forces backward.

And its numbers were still increasing.

Every so often, another spatial rift would open.

More Void Emissaries joined the battlefield.

White_Bear swallowed.

"Are..."

"Are all of those summoned by Boss?"

Horus didn’t even know how to answer.

Normally,

a summoning skill that could call out several creatures at once was already incredibly powerful.

But Endbringer...

What the hell was this?

Summoning an entire legion?

Elsewhere—

Loki had just killed a Darkkin commander.

When he suddenly felt the pressure ahead drop sharply,

he instinctively looked up.

Then he saw the black army as well.

His sword stopped in midair.

For a long moment, he didn’t move.

"Void Emissaries..."

When John had fought him before,

he had only summoned a small number of these creatures.

Even then,

Loki had already found them extremely troublesome.

Only now did he realize—

that had been nowhere near John’s limit.

Dense waves of Void Emissaries continued stepping out from spatial rifts.

They spread toward different fronts.

Every single one was monstrously strong.

They could revive.

They reflected True Damage.

And their numbers were increasing at an astonishing rate.

A thin layer of cold sweat slowly formed on Loki’s back.

He suddenly remembered that he had once considered forcibly detaining Endbringer.

He had even fought him.

"..."

Fortunately—

that kid had been in a decent mood at the time.

Loki looked toward John, who stood at the center of the battlefield in the distance.

Only one thought remained in his mind.

This man...

was an army all by himself.

...

At the same time—

within the Dark Realm.

In a spatial interlayer unimaginably far from the Human Realm—

a colossal black spatial passage stretched across heaven and earth.

Behind the gate—

killing intent had nearly condensed into something tangible.

A one-eyed old man stood alone before the entrance.

His white hair hung loose around his shoulders.

His body was slightly hunched.

And in his hand,

he held only an old, worn staff.

Standing before him—

was a terrifying figure dozens of meters tall.

The Night King!

The Night King’s true body!

His crimson eyes resembled twin blood moons.

A vast aura of darkness coiled around his entire body.

Simply by standing there,

fine cracks continuously appeared in the surrounding space.

Behind him—

twelve figures with completely different auras stood in two rows.

The Twelve Witches!

And farther behind them—

an army covered the entire wasteland of the Dark Realm.

There was no end in sight.

A million elite Darkkin.

War beasts.

Cavalry.

Mage legions.

All kinds of high-tier lifeforms stood among them.

There were thousands of auras at Citybreaker Tier or above alone!

And yet—

this terrifying force had come to a complete halt behind the spatial passage.

None of them moved forward.

There was only one reason.

The one-eyed old man standing at the entrance.

The Night King looked down at him.

His crimson eyes were filled with killing intent.

"The Voidwalker has emerged."

"The gears of fate are turning once more."

"The world is on the verge of chaos."

"And you still have the leisure to stand guard here?"

The one-eyed old man casually picked at his ear.

"Voidwalker this."

"World-ending chaos that."

"I’ve been listening to that damn prophecy of yours for hundreds of years."

He raised his only intact eye.

And looked directly at the Night King.

"I only know one thing."

"That Voidwalker you keep talking about..."

"Is one of ours now."

The Night King’s expression darkened further.

The old man lightly tapped his staff against the ground.

A faint line of light extended from beneath his feet.

It stretched across the entrance of the spatial passage.

"I’ll follow the rules."

"I couldn’t care less what happens inside your Dark Realm."

"And as long as they’re below Citybreaker Tier, how the fighting goes is up to the youngsters on the front lines."

He raised his head.

"But you..."

"And those things behind you..."

"If any of you dare cross this line—"

The old man grinned.

"I’ll have a proper chat with you."

The moment his words fell—

BOOM—!!!

Terrifying magic power erupted!

The entire spatial interlayer shook violently.

The ground beneath the old man cracked apart.

Invisible pressure swept outward.

The million-strong army behind the Night King immediately fell into unrest.

Some of the weaker Darkkin even instinctively stepped backward.

The Night King’s eyes turned cold.

The darkness surrounding him erupted just as violently.

Two overwhelming forces collided madly across the passage.

Huge sections of space twisted and warped.

"Blind old bastard."

"Do you really think this king fears you?"

The old man sneered.

"I know you don’t."

"You’ve got thick skin."

"If we really fight, you probably won’t die anytime soon."

Then he pointed his staff toward the army behind the Night King.

"But I can guarantee one thing."

"Those things you brought with you..."

"Not a single one of them will make it back."
