One Piece: The Fourth Brother
Chapter 307: Fighting with All One's Might
Deep beneath the subterranean depths of the Holy Land—in the very chamber where Drake and Aokiji had previously been imprisoned—a massive shadow flashed past in the dark.
In the pitch-black space, a pair of bright, piercing eyes emerged out of nowhere, striding through the gloom.
Traversing a long, dark corridor, the shadow came to a halt before a massive stone door. Tightening his hand into a fist, a sphere of brilliant white energy surged over his knuckles as he drove a punch straight forward.
HUMMM... CRACK!
The spatial fabric fractured, deep fissures spreading rapidly across the stone as the violent impact shattered the reinforced door to pieces.
This familiar force was none other than the signature shockwave capability unique to the Tremor-Tremor Fruit.
The newcomer was none other than the former Yonko who had long been absent from the world's sight—Whitebeard, Edward Newgate!
Grasping his bisento, Murakumogiri, Whitebeard stepped slowly into the chamber. It was a secret room that even Drake had failed to notice earlier. Standing inside the vast space, a sharp, brilliant light glinted in Whitebeard's eyes as he surveyed his surroundings.
The massive room held only a solitary table and a single chair, yet Whitebeard's focus remained locked entirely on the surrounding walls.
Adorning the stone were intricate, grotesquely shaped murals depicting obscure, deeply symbolic illustrations.
Gazing at the artwork covering nearly every square inch of the room, the corners of Whitebeard's lips curled into a subtle smirk as he studied the murals with unblinking focus.
"Luffy!" Drake roared, checking his backward momentum mid-air.
With a soundless blur, he vanished from his coordinate, reappearing directly before Im.
"Canhong!" Drake let out a fierce cry as a radiant aura surged from the blade of Canhong, his presence exploding exponentially.
Conqueror's Haki! Full Output!
Armament Haki, sword aura, and the spatial forces of his Devil Fruit converged simultaneously into the steel of his blade. This time, Drake unleashed every drop of energy stored within his body.
Combat!
A single directive occupied his mind. The scouter display confirmed that the vital signatures of his three brothers remained stable, meaning they were still alive and safe.
Yet that held true strictly for the present moment. If this engagement persisted, every single one of them risked being permanently buried on this field.
"Primordial Harmony: Star Sovereignty Demands the Heavens!"
In a fraction of a microsecond, the entire sky lost its color, as if all creation had dissolved, leaving only this solitary, supreme sword stroke behind.
As space compressed around her, Im could clearly register an extraordinary distortion taking hold of the surrounding fabric. The sheer density of power contained within Drake's slash far exceeded the natural boundaries of this world.
Terrifyingly absolute!
That was Im's immediate assessment.
She had operated under the assumption that Dragon was the solitary mortal in this sea who posed a subtle threat to her authority. Now, reality proved how wildly she had underestimated the field.
The absolute power Drake was displaying surpassed Dragon's peak output by a wide margin, and his momentum showed terrifying signs of escalating even further.
Im's expression darkened into a grave mask. "So... you are the absolute greatest threat to this world!"
"No... I should say, ALL of you!"
The four young men engaging her had each reached the absolute ceiling achievable within this sea. While combat power of that tier was manageable for her, the critical variable lay in their ages.
Every single one of them was merely around twenty years old. To command combat mass of this caliber at their age was a reality that defied all logic.
What kind of absurd talent was this?!
In her long memory, zero precedent existed for such an anomaly. Typically, the youngest individuals capable of reaching this boundary were at least in their thirties.
Yet four prodigies wielding talent of this tier had emerged simultaneously!
They had to be liquidated on the spot!
"Hm?!" Just as she prepared to execute an evasion maneuver, Im discovered to her genuine shock that her physical frame was completely locked in place!
A vertical, greyish-white energy slash tore across open airspace, severing the spatial fabric along its vector.
The sword aura connected heaven and earth, piercing through the ages as it descended with absolute, crushing dominance.
"Power of the Gods: Divine Sword Assembly!" A brilliant light glinted in Im's eyes as a massive volume of dark fog surged from her palms, forming a sleek, pitch-black long sword in her grip.
A sword!
Drake hadn't calculated that Im's primary weapon would prove to be a long sword as well—a blade entirely black and intensely unnerving.
KABOOM!
Blade met blade as the spatial fabric collapsed inward. Filaments of deep crimson lightning saturated the entirety of Mary Geoise, shockwaves cascading off the high plateau to ripple across the surrounding ocean for miles in every direction.
Midst the sprawling ruins below, the silhouettes of Drake and Im emerged directly before the eyes of the entire assembly.
The primary battle was entering its absolute final phase. The combined forces of the Revolutionary Army and Weitian's Neo-Marines had successfully subdued the remaining World Government troops with overwhelming dominance.
With numerous Marine generals defecting, the structural balance of the enemy frontline had suffered a catastrophic collapse. Beyond a handful of fanatical officers and CP agents fighting to the death, the entire field had been secured.
The once-unconquerable World Government was reduced to a desperate last stand anchored solely by the Five Elders and veteran figures like Sengoku and Kong.
Fleet Admiral Akainu stood among them as well.
Throughout the campaign, the Straw Hat Pirates and the Dragon Flag Pirates had served as the primary strike vanguard. Usopp's high-altitude fighter aircraft had thrown the enemy lines into total disarray during the opening gambit.
Had Admiral Fujitora not intervened, the World Government's frontline would have collapsed even faster.
Yet even so, their tactical contributions had proven indispensable.
As the Straw Hat crew assembled on the plaza, their specialized gear drew every eye on the field.
Though distinct in style, every suit was crafted from identical high-tier materials—custom-engineered by Drake explicitly for the Straw Hat Pirates.
Critical anatomical sectors and major joints were reinforced with streamlined armor plating, granting enhanced flexibility and physical defense without hindering mobility.
Every member received equipment tailored precisely to their combat role. Take Usopp for instance: as the crew's sniper, his long-range offensive capacity had been exponentially amplified.
His specialized weapon—the Phoenix Ammo—had been custom-manufactured by the system based on his sling-shot model. A single drawn shot produced the raw kinetic force of a heavy naval cannon.
When fully charged, it could fire a concentrated laser beam holding destructive density rivaling Franky's Radical Beam.
Every other member had been similarly equipped with gear customized for their unique attributes.
As the general battle quieted, only the high-tier clashes remained active, and at this moment, every eye on the plaza was drawn to the shockwaves radiating from Drake's sector.
The commotion was simply too colossal. Even the Straw Hat Grand Fleet stationed far out at sea could clearly feel the terrifying pressure domain weighing over the plateau.
"What on earth... is THAT?!"
The sky had been cleared of all clouds, divided cleanly into twin halves—one shrouded in swirling dark fog, the other illuminated by greyish-white spatial light.
"Drake!" Old man Garp stared up at the high heavens in wide-eyed shock.
The individual locked in combat up there... was really Drake!
"Who is that person fighting against Drake?!"
While the surrounding crowd stood completely baffled, one truth registered with crystal clarity: the combat output of both Drake and his adversary exceeded human imagination by a terrifying margin.
Unlike the confused onlookers, the Five Elders were paralyzed with utter horror. They couldn't fathom that a mortal existed who could engage Lord Im on equal footing.
Judging by the atmospheric pressure alone, the two were locked in a completely balanced, back-and-forth deadlock.
"Lord Im..."
Blood trickled continuously down Akainu's forehead, yet he stood frozen in absolute shock, failing to notice even as the cigar slipped from his lips and tumbled to the stone.
"Sever!" Drake roared, executing a sweeping leg strike in mid-air.
The spatial fabric severed instantly!
Facing the terrifying pressure of spatial tearing, Im abandoned all casual demeanor, unleashing a rapid sequence of sword slashes to meet the strike.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Sparks showered open airspace as the cascading energy shockwaves carved deep trenches into the bedrock below.
CLANG!
As residual sword phantoms fell from the heavens, Drake and Im exchanged continuous high-velocity slashes. The atmospheric pressure from their clashing blades echoed across heaven and earth. Gradually, Drake's movement velocity surpassed Im's baseline parameters, the speed of his sword strokes accelerating beyond her parry rate.
He began securing a distinct tactical advantage!
KABOOM!
Twin sword energy slashes collided head-on.
As both combatants retreated from the kinetic impact, Drake executed an instantaneous spatial warp, materializing directly behind Im's back. The onlookers caught only a fluid twitch of Drake's arm.
In the very next heartbeat, Im was struck by a devastating slash that blasted her straight into the bedrock below!
ROAR... KABOOM!
