King then unfolded the newspaper and placed it before Kaido.

"I guarantee everything I’m saying is true."

"If you don’t believe me, see for yourself."

The others immediately crowded around.

Their previous confidence had already begun to waver.

Curiosity replaced mockery.

King continued explaining.

"You all know Morgans."

"He never bothers publishing fake stories."

"He isn’t afraid of the Marines."

"He isn’t afraid of the Celestial Dragons."

"And he certainly wouldn’t risk his reputation for any pirate crew."

"That’s why I’m convinced the report about the Whitebeard Pirates having users with two Devil Fruit powers is real."

After finally voicing all of his conclusions, King let out a long breath.

The pressure weighing on him felt slightly lighter.

Truthfully, even he had felt a sense of helplessness after reading the article.

The implications were simply too terrifying.

As Kaido read through the newspaper, the smile gradually disappeared from his face.

His expression became increasingly serious.

His brows furrowed.

His eyes darkened with thought.

By the time he reached the end, his face was unusually grim.

Everyone else noticed the change.

The hall fell silent once again.

If this report was true—

Then it was terrifying.

Who in the world could stop that?

His eyes gleamed with excitement.

"I’ve been bored for years."

"Someone worth fighting has appeared."

A savage grin spread across his face.

"Three Devil Fruit powers?"

"Two Devil Fruit powers?"

"I don’t care."

"The only strong person..."

Kaido’s voice shook the hall.

"...is the one who can kill me!"

"Hahahahahaha!"

The Beast Pirates immediately erupted into wild laughter.

Fear?
