One Piece: I Upgraded the Strongest Man in the World

Chapter 27: Wherever There’s a Celestial Dragon, an Admiral Isn’t Far Behind

  • Next Chapter

The moment Saint Degu heard the CP0 agent tell him to run, he nearly exploded with rage.

"You bastard! I am one of the descendants of the Creators! Why aren’t these insects kneeling before me?! They all deserve to die!"

He pointed furiously at the Whitebeard Pirates.

"I order you to kill them all immediately!"

"..."

The white-suited CP0 agent’s expression darkened, but he held back his anger.

Turning slightly, he gave a subtle glance to another agent.

The other man instantly understood.

Without hesitation, several CP0 members pulled out emergency Den Den Mushi and activated them.

These special Den Den Mushi would broadcast a distress signal and their location to all nearby Marine forces.

Any Marines who received the alert were required to abandon their current missions and rush to provide support.

It was during this brief lull that—

A bloodcurdling scream suddenly echoed across the battlefield.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!"

Everyone turned in shock.

At some point, Ron had already crossed the distance and reached Saint Degu.

And now—

He was stomping the Celestial Dragon’s face into the dirt.

"Dammit, you Celestial Dragon pig!"

Ron kicked him viciously.

"When I watched One Piece, I already couldn’t stand you people!"

Bam!

Another kick.

"People like Stella were such good people, and you monsters ruined their lives!"

Bam!

Another kick.

"Today I’m beating the hell out of you, you piece of trash!"

One kick after another slammed into Saint Degu’s face.

The CP0 agents.

The attendants.

The civilians.

Even the Whitebeard Pirates.

Everyone was stunned.

Their brains seemed to stop functioning for several seconds.

CRACK!

The Celestial Dragon’s protective glass bubble shattered under Ron’s kick.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!"

"Help! Help me!"

"Save—"

Seeing that Saint Degu still had enough strength left to cry for help, Ron kicked even harder.

"Die already, you bastard!"

After more than a dozen brutal kicks, the stunned CP0 agents finally snapped back to reality.

"STOP HIM!"

With an angry roar, the white-suited agent lunged toward Ron.

"Oh?"

A massive figure suddenly stepped in front of him.

"If you want to kill our Vice Captain, you’ll have to get past these fists first."

Jozu grinned.

His eyes radiated confidence.

As his right hand clenched into a fist, a transparent vibration field instantly enveloped it.

Then he punched.

"Quake!"

A terrifying shockwave erupted from his fist.

The force distorted the air itself.

"What?!"

The CP0 agent never expected such an attack.

The invisible force struck his chest head-on.

BOOM!

His body flew backward like a kite with its strings cut.

Only after tumbling several times through the air did he manage to regain his balance.

His face was filled with disbelief.

Wasn’t this Diamond Jozu?

The man famous for his unmatched defense?

Then what was that attack?

Why had he been blasted away with a single punch?

And that sensation...

The cracking air...

It felt eerily similar to Whitebeard’s Tremor-Tremor Fruit (Gura Gura no Mi)!

Questions flooded his mind.

Nothing made sense.

Jozu stood calmly where he was.

Looking at the CP0 agent’s shocked expression, he casually rolled his wrist and laughed.

"So?"

"How many Haki training do you think that punch had behind it?"

"..."

The CP0 agent’s face twitched.

Then he noticed something even more alarming.

His fellow agents had all been intercepted by members of the Whitebeard Pirates.

None of them could reach Ron.

Meanwhile, Ron continued beating Saint Degu without the slightest mercy.

At this rate, the Celestial Dragon would soon die from the beating alone.

And if Saint Degu died...

Their entire group would be doomed.

"Damn it! What was that power?!"

"Oh? You mean this?"

Jozu clenched his fist again.

The vibration field reappeared instantly.

"Yes! That!"

The CP0 agent stared at it.

"How do you have Whitebeard’s power?!"

He was absolutely certain now.

That was unmistakably the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit (Gura Gura no Mi).

"Hahahaha!"

Jozu proudly raised his fist.

"You’ll have to thank our Vice Captain, Ron, for that."

He admired the vibration field with obvious satisfaction.

"Though I guess it’s science."

He shrugged.

"Explaining it wouldn’t help. You wouldn’t understand."

The CP0 agent:

"......."

"Enough talking."

Jozu’s eyes sharpened.

"The first punch was just a casual warm-up."

His smile widened.

"This next one is serious."

He slowly extended his right arm.

Then suddenly—

He grabbed at empty space.

CRACK!

The air shattered.

Visible fractures spread outward.

"Hehehe..."

Jozu grinned.

With a violent motion, he pulled backward as though drawing a bowstring.

The cracking intensified.

Gigantic fissures spread through the air itself.

It looked as though the atmosphere in front of him was being compressed into a single point.

"Die!"

Jozu released his grip.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The compressed shockwave exploded forward.

The CP0 agent Had no time to react.

The invisible force slammed into him like a natural disaster.

His body flew through the air in a perfect arc.

Blood sprayed from his mouth.

His clothes tore apart instantly.

Only after smashing through dozens of massive trees did he finally stop.

His head slumped to one side.

Whether he was alive or dead was impossible to tell.

"Amazing, Jozu."

Ace walked over after finishing off his own opponent.

"You’ve become much more skilled with Pops’ power."

"Hahaha!"

Jozu scratched his head modestly.

"It’s nothing."

"I’ve only inherited about a third of Pops’ strength."

At that moment, another miserable scream echoed across the battlefield.

Then silence.

Saint Degu, who had been enduring Ron’s relentless beating, finally lost consciousness.

His head lolled to the side.

Completely knocked out.

"That’s it?"

Ron looked disappointed.

"I wasn’t even done yet."

" Ron, this guy is way too weak."

Jozu glanced at the unconscious Celestial Dragon.

"Why don’t we just kill him?"

"Not yet."

Ron shook his head.

"Based on experience, wherever there’s a Celestial Dragon pig, there’s usually an Admiral nearby."

He looked toward the distant sea.

"Let’s wait a little longer."

"Maybe we’ll get an unexpected bonus."

If someone else had said something like that in the past, the Whitebeard Pirates would have already left.

Admirals were troublesome opponents.

Hard to kill.

Dangerous to provoke.

Generally speaking, the Whitebeard Pirates preferred not to fight them unless necessary.

But things were different now.

In fact—

They practically wished they could fight an Admiral every day.

Collect a few blood samples.

Strengthen themselves a little more.

Everyone was looking forward to it.

Jozu’s expression became strange.

" Ron..."

"You aren’t making this up, are you?"

"Hm?"

Ron looked at him.

Jozu scratched his head awkwardly.

"The last time you said Marshall D. Teach would show up at Jaya."

"We waited for nearly two months."

"And we didn’t even see a shadow of him."
