One Piece: I Upgraded the Strongest Man in the World

Chapter 100: One Hundredfold Focus — Quantity Becomes Quality!

  • Next Chapter

Jozu stood confidently, pointing toward the crimson dragon in the sky.

A brilliant light flickered at his fingertip, shining like a beacon in the darkness.

"One Hundredfold Focus!"

The moment his words fell—

The tiny point of light erupted with dazzling brilliance.

Whoosh!

A beam of light shot from his fingertip and streaked toward the crimson dragon.

Almost simultaneously—

A painful scream echoed through the sky.

"AHHH! That hurts! It hurts!"

The crimson dragon tumbled through the air in agony, its massive body losing balance as if struck by an invisible hammer.

Blood dripped from its abdomen, tracing crimson arcs through the sky before dispersing into the wind.

Upon closer inspection, a wound no thicker than a chopstick could be seen on its dragon belly.

The injury wasn’t large.

But it was horrifyingly precise.

The surrounding flesh had been scorched black by intense heat, and wisps of smoke continued rising from the wound.

Yet what shocked everyone even more was the dragon’s recovery speed.

The bleeding quickly stopped.

The wound began closing almost immediately.

Its regenerative ability was astonishing.

However—

The true shock wasn’t the injury itself.

It was how Jozu had inflicted it.

Every Division Commander present stood frozen in place.

Their faces were filled with disbelief.

The attack had been too fast.

So fast that none of them had even reacted.

There had been no opportunity to dodge.

No opportunity to defend.

"Heh, well?"

Jozu stood proudly with his hands on his hips.

The attack had merely been a test shot.

Yet it had already demonstrated enough.

Everyone exchanged stunned glances.

The lingering heat from the light beam still hung in the air.

A sense of awe spread through the crowd.

That level of attack...

Even Armament Haki hadn’t been able to stop it.

"M-My Armament Haki was pierced!"

The crimson dragon stared at the wound on his abdomen in shock.

Though it had already stopped bleeding, the burning pain remained.

His eyes were full of disbelief.

Another commander couldn’t help exclaiming,

"Kingdew, even your Haki couldn’t block it?"

"You’ve blocked Admiral Kizaru’s attacks before!"

"If Jozu’s attack got through while Kizaru’s didn’t, doesn’t that mean Jozu’s attack power is even stronger?"

The dragons stared wide-eyed.

Their brains struggled to process what had happened.

"Heh. You idiots."

Jozu laughed mercilessly.

His face was full of smug satisfaction.

Nearby, Ron and Whitebeard exchanged glances but said nothing.

They understood exactly how Jozu felt.

After being depressed for so long, the man deserved an opportunity to vent.

Keeping everything bottled up wasn’t healthy.

Everyone had moments when they needed an outlet.

Jozu slowly spread his arms.

His already dazzling diamond body became even more radiant.

His entire form appeared to be constructed from countless transparent diamond crystals.

Each facet sparkled brilliantly under the sunlight.

But if one looked carefully—

One would discover that these diamonds had undergone profound changes.

They were no longer simple crystals.

Instead, their internal structures had been transformed into an intricate system of prisms.

Countless prism arrays had been arranged according to extremely precise calculations.

Together, they formed a complex yet perfectly ordered optical network.

Whenever light entered this microscopic labyrinth, it underwent countless refractions and reflections.

Eventually, it followed a predetermined path.

Like a rainbow being painted across the air.

"Now do you understand?"

Jozu smirked.

"You people only know how to solve problems with brute force."

"Honestly, Ron should teach all of you some science."

"Otherwise you’re nothing but a bunch of illiterate barbarians."

"..."

Then he pointed at his wrist.

The joint had been specifically remodeled into a specialized concave mirror structure.

"This is the real secret."

Jozu grinned confidently.

"Every light beam traveling through the optical pathways in my arms eventually arrives here."

"Whether it’s ten beams, fifty beams, or a hundred beams—"

"They can all be concentrated into a single, more powerful beam."

At that point, Jozu glanced at everyone with disdain.

"Kizaru?"

"He doesn’t know a thing about using the Glint-Glint Fruit (Pika Pika no Mi)."

The next moment—

Hundreds of dazzling light rays burst from his diamond arms.

After passing through the prism network, they were perfectly focused into his palm.

Then the energy was further compressed and guided toward his fingertips.

The resulting brilliance was so intense that it resembled a miniature sun resting in his hand.

"Think of it this way."

Jozu grinned and looked up at the crimson dragon, Kingdew.

"If Kizaru’s laser is a single concentrated beam of light—"

"Then what I just used was the power of a hundred beams focused into one!"

Silence.

Kingdew inhaled sharply.

His face turned pale.

"How the hell am I supposed to block that?"

He looked at the wound on his stomach and shuddered.

"Good thing you didn’t accidentally blow my head off."

"Damn..."

"That’s terrifying."

"Not only is it ridiculously fast, but it looks like an ordinary attack."

"Who would’ve guessed the actual power had increased by that much?"

"How are you supposed to defend against something like that?"

"Forget fighting nine enemies."

"With that attack, you could probably handle ninety!"

"..."

The commanders were completely convinced.

And honestly—

A little frightened.

Because they had all realized something.

If Jozu had truly wanted to kill them earlier—

He could have simply fired one shot at each of them.

And by the time they realized what happened—

Their heads would already have exploded.
