One Piece - I Am A Different Luffy!

Third Person POV

Egghead.

“That robot…” Luffy had faint memories of that being, not remembering much about it in the original story, but he had heard something about it through Vegapunk. Even the robot Vegapunk created was based on this one.

Luffy saw Saint Venus possessed, narrowing his eyes.

She seemed torn between rage and caution, both for the problem of just having lost one of the Gorosei and for the robot there.

As Luffy raised an eyebrow, he could feel all four Gorosei quite desperate after losing one of them.

Then, without warning, the giant that had appeared simply began to release a black Haki that caught everyone by surprise, even surpassing anything that had been released before, like Imu’s Haki in Saint Venus’s body, exploding in all directions.

He heard the scream of his female companion as Imu began to lose control of the body. Luffy saw the spirit of that thing leaving the blonde’s body. He was surprised, while also looking around.

All the Gorosei seemed to react to the Haki, growing frustrated.

One by one, they all simply began to vanish from the location—Peter, Nusjuro, Topman, and the very monster that had possessed Saint Venus’s body.

“This doesn’t end here… If I meet him in person, I’ll destroy everything you know!” Luffy turned to Imu as she cast one last look at him, full of rage…

Then she simply disappeared, leaving behind only what remained of Saint Venus.

Luffy caught her before she hit the ground, placing his hand on her head and checking her condition. Her body was in a critical state, to the point of dying—Imu had already expected her to die right there.

Luffy activated the time ability of his fruit and made the damage decrease considerably so she wouldn’t die.

All the Straw Hats, except those who were fighting Saturn, were confused after their enemies had simply disappeared from Egghead following the robot’s Haki.

Luffy no longer cared about the fights. He knew Saturn was cornered at that moment and could feel his desperation. He also ignored the giant, who still kept his gaze mainly on Lucy in her Nika form, now returning to normal size.

“Reiju, Lami, and Chopper, come here now!” Luffy’s voice exploded, echoing throughout the island.

As all three of his companions heard his call, Reiju was the first to arrive, after leaving the fight with Saturn. Lami came right after, using teleportation and bringing Chopper with her.

“I need you to save Saint Venus!” he exclaimed, while laying her on the ground amidst all the destruction he had caused in the center of the island.

Reiju quickly began to emit healing flames. Lami also went to check her body.

“Luffy… she can’t be saved…” Lami said suddenly.

“That’s…” Luffy was frustrated to see that, even though she had been his enemy and in a way a joke, he couldn’t let her die like that after what had happened. She had even turned her back on the World Government, whether she knew she would die or not.

“We have to do something…” Luffy thought.

“The problem is with her spirit…” Lami said—this was beyond her capabilities.

“Spirit… Brook might be able to do something. Or Perona…” Luffy wondered, before hearing an explosion in the distance, an attack he knew had already been launched at Marineford.

“The Paw Fruit…” he thought.

“Kuma! I need your help!” Luffy exclaimed, betting that the cyborg would hear him or not.

“Bring Vegapunk here too, along with our ship.” Luffy asked, and Lami nodded, disappearing.

Kuma appeared as Luffy had requested. “Monkey D. Luffy,” he said.

“Can you remove all the damage from her body and spirit?” Luffy asked, while returning to the blonde’s body.

“You called?!” Vegapunk appeared with a ship crashing to the ground behind them.

“Can you check her condition and see what we can do?” Luffy asked.

“Of course…” Vegapunk replied, and Luffy nodded. They had the ship, their doctors and healers, Kuma and Vegapunk to help her—there was nothing more he could do.

Luffy still saw the explosions and looked at a sword lying on the ground, embedded in Saint Venus.

He approached it and sheathed his own sword, gripping the girl’s sword by the hilt, feeling its energy.

It was glowing with sacred energy, even if slowly fading, as it was no longer being carried by its user—but still held a powerful energy due to what Imu, possessing her, had managed to infuse into the blade.

Luffy heard another explosion in the distance, beyond the crater. He held the sword.

“Well… it’s time to end this,” he murmured.

And took a step forward, before vanishing, blowing up the entire ground.

After Bartholomew Kuma and Reiju left the battle, Hugo, Bonney, Hachi, Baby-5, and Jinbei were still fighting against Saturn, who was becoming increasingly frustrated and desperate as he began to see all the new opponents—or rather, the opponents of his comrades who had disappeared—starting to approach him: Yamato, Lucy, and Zoro.

A very bad situation.

“Die!” a violent scream echoed, as Bonney, transformed into Nika, punched him in the face with her giant hand just as he tried to recover.

“Enough! I’m not going to die here!” Saturn shouted, beginning to open a portal beneath him, creating a pentagram.

Everyone knew what he was trying to do.

“He’s trying to escape…” Bonney said in a dark tone.

“Quick! Don’t let that happen!” Jinbei exclaimed, as several punches and attacks started flying toward him.

Even Yamato and Zoro were about to join the fight, when a super-fast wind surged, slicing through the area.

Before they could react, Luffy appeared above Saturn. And perhaps because of the shadow emerging there, Saturn looked up, surprised to see him.

Luffy came down with the sword full of light and simply drove the blade from top to bottom into his forehead, the sword glowing as he buried it.

Blood flowed, catching everyone by surprise, just as a glow began to emerge and Saturn’s eyes vibrated with fear.

“No… it can’t be!” he screamed, before feeling the impact of the sacred force invading him, knowing full well what was about to happen.

“Die, you bastard!” Luffy said in a serious tone.

He wasn’t even in Phase 2 anymore—he had returned to his normal human form, wearing a smile with the sword still embedded in the forehead of that guy who had survived his awakening nearly two years ago.

In the next moment, Saturn’s entire body began to glow, forming several cracks, catching everyone by surprise. He could no longer react, his body starting to swell.

Everyone watched as Luffy released all the energy of the sword into Saturn’s body. Even Saturn began to scream, his mouth and eyes glowing with golden light, along with various parts of his body, as he inflated.

He grew to the point of simply exploding, with a wave of light bursting in all directions, even pushing his companions back—except for the titan, who was far too large.

The brightness flashed like daylight. It lasted only a few seconds before finally fading, everything returning to normal.

Luffy looked on in satisfaction before kneeling on the ground, Saturn’s head still skewered on the sword like a spit. His body, however, had turned to ashes.

Saturn’s transformation had undone itself, returning to normal. The head shrank back to its human form as Luffy removed it from the sword and tossed it aside.

Everyone stared at him in shock, not understanding how he had done it.

Luffy looked at the sword and couldn’t be more surprised by the abilities of that Tenryuubito he had brought onto the ship. He had added her to the crew just for fun… and now she had turned out to be quite the discovery. It seemed this first journey of theirs had brought very good surprises for him. So he hoped she would survive while Vegapunk, Kuma, and his doctors were with her.

“Master!!!” Baby-5 cried out upon seeing Luffy, while Jinbei gave a smile after everything.

“Captain, you killed him…?” Zoro approached, curious. Then he looked toward where Mors’s head lay, separated from the body in the distance, in a devastated area.

“How did you do that? How did you kill him?” Before Luffy could answer, Bonney appeared, exiting her Nika transformation and returning to her new pink hair, staring at him with a mix of anger, surprise, and curiosity.

“It was thanks to Saint Venus, but we’ll talk about that later,” Luffy replied with a smile, just before his sister ran up to him, hugging him a moment later.

“Luffy…!!” she whined, rubbing her face against his, as Luffy patted her on the head.

“What is it, sister?” he asked.

“Nothing, I’m just happy we beat you,” she smiled, then blushed. “And I’m…” Her stomach growled at that moment. “Can you give me some food?” she asked shyly.

Luffy smiled. How could he say no? After all her transformation, she was hungry.

“I want some too! But you still have to tell me how you managed to kill the Elder,” Bonney said, stepping forward with her hands on her hips, though she quickly turned back to Luffy.

It didn’t take long before she turned her body again and looked toward the crater in the middle of the city, where Kuma was. There was nothing she wanted more than to see her father.

Luffy pulled out a piece of meat for Lucy but kept his eyes on Bonney the entire time.

“Go see him,” Luffy said, and Bonney nodded, leaving the area and heading toward the center of the destroyed city.

“Luffy, what was that?” It was then that Nami and Usopp arrived after Yamato, with Nami coming out of her Garuda transformation, eager to question him about the monster he had faced.

“What happened?” she pressed, her expression full of concern.

“A lot of things happened,” Luffy replied, just before sensing something else approaching them. Everyone turned their eyes together and saw the robot taking slow steps through the city, heading toward them.

‘That Haki brought them back—wherever it was they had been. The Haki seemed to have reversed the effect of Saturn’s powers that summoned the other Gorosei and Imu’s possession of Saint Venus…’ Luffy pondered, beginning to spin multiple theories from that event.

Haki could cancel Devil Fruit effects. Could he use that? How might it affect him? Were there users capable of doing that? Maybe that woman, in her original body, must have been capable of it, clearly… Could he handle her if she canceled his abilities? The answer was no… It was only thanks to the support of his clones that he managed to defeat that monster, who had still used a limited body to fight him.

“Well, let’s see what this robot wants, and let’s find Vegapunk so we can decide what to do from now on while he’s taking care of our crewmate,” he said, pausing before continuing in a firm, leader-like tone to everyone.

“Capture all the Marines, we’re throwing them all in prison, and we’ll also organize how we’ll deal with the situation on the island. That’s why we need to handle all of this before deciding anything with Vegapunk.”

With that, Luffy moved toward the robot, leaving his crewmates behind as they began preparing to carry out his orders.
