Borsalino leapt high into the air, unleashing a torrential barrage of light particles upon the pirates of the Straw Hat Alliance below. Marco, however, flared his wings wide, transforming them into a shield of blue flames to protect everyone before rocketing upward. He clashed directly with Borsalino, their kicks colliding in midair.

BOOM!!

A violent shockwave erupted from the point of impact. A flicker of impatience crossed Borsalino’s brow. "Honestly, must you always get in my way, Marco~~?"

"As if I’d let you have your way so easily, yoi!" Marco replied, the corner of his mouth curving upward.

"Releasing Restriction System... Level 2, Level 1..."

Suddenly, Shirokitsune joined her thumbs, index, and middle fingers together, forming a long vertical rectangle with her hands. The power of the River of Death fused with her Cloud-Cloud Fruit ability, turning the surrounding atmosphere into a roiling vortex of black clouds.

A suffocating, dense wave of vampiric energy blanketed the entire battlefield.

"It’s exactly like Alucard’s..."

Admiral Momonga, who had faced Alucard multiple times, felt a jolt of alarm. The aura radiating from her was identical to Alucard’s. But it made sense; reflecting on the past, Shirokitsune had indeed been bestowed with power by Alucard himself.

Shirokitsune’s eyes turned blood-red, her vampiric gaze sending a shiver down the spine of anyone who caught it. With a violent sweep of her hand, the Cloud-Cloud Fruit’s previous vulnerability, its lack of raw destructive power, was completely overcome, instantly wiping out a unit of over a thousand pirates.

"That woman... It’s just like back then! It’s exactly like that time!"

Momonosuke’s mind reeled with terror. He remembered the look. Four years ago, when Alucard had slaughtered his way into Wano in the guise of Loli A, he possessed the exact same terrifying eyes that Shirokitsune was displaying right now.

Black clouds billowed from Shirokitsune’s body, creeping steadily toward Momonosuke. The mist condensed rapidly, shaping itself into a monstrous, pitch-black fox with glowing crimson eyes, its jaws bared savagely at the enemies before it.

"We cannot let her harm Momonosuke-sama! Raizo, Kanjuro, let’s go!" Kin’emon roared to his fellow retainers of the Kozuki Clan.

"Right!"

The two shouted in unison, drawing their respective weapons as they charged toward Shirokitsune.

Under Shirokitsune’s precise control, the massive black fox in the clouds snapped its jaws open, violently swallowing their synchronized assault. With a single, devastating strike, all three retainers were sent flying through the air.

"Kozuki Momonosuke... the last remnant of the Kozuki Clan."

Momonga narrowed his eyes and barked, "Do not show mercy just because he’s a child, Vice Admiral Alessia."

Shirokitsune let out a cold snort, replying indifferently, "I don’t need you to tell me that."

The black fox locked its crimson eyes dead onto Momonosuke as Alessia spoke with chilling malice, "As one of the core figures of the Straw Hat Alliance, leaving you alive is nothing but a recipe for future disaster. I’m sorry, but you die here."

The moment the words left her lips, the black fox unhinged its massive jaws, poised to swallow Momonosuke whole.

"Momo!!!"

Luffy, who was currently locked in combat with Momonga, caught the sight and screamed in desperation.

Suddenly, the ground beneath Luffy’s feet churned into massive hands of earth, lunging upward to bind the Straw Hat captain. Momonga’s voice rang out with absolute coldness, "Do you truly have the luxury to worry about others? Straw Hat Luffy."

"What!?"

In that split second of distraction, Luffy was struck. His right foot was caught tightly by Momonga’s Devil Fruit ability.

Had it been anyone else, their bones would have been instantly crushed into fine powder. However, because of the Gum-Gum Fruit’s rubber properties, Luffy only sustained minor bruising.

Just an instant before Momonosuke could be devoured by Alessia’s ultimate technique, a booming voice suddenly resonated within his mind.

"Do you wish to live?"

A voice as deep and resonant as a massive temple bell echoed inside Momonosuke’s head. "I can assist you. If you do not wish to die, please... give me permission just this once."

"Give me the order... let me... fight."

As the voice reverberated through Momonosuke’s mind, a sequence of images flashed across his consciousness like a slideshow.

That was... Zunesha!

Momonosuke’s face distorted with terror. Faced with the immediate threat of death, he threw his head back and screamed at the top of his lungs, "Help... Help us, Zunesha! Drive the Marines away!!!"

"Understood!"

The voice echoed one final time inside Momonosuke’s mind. Even Luffy caught a faint trace of the telepathic resonance; he instinctively froze on the spot, looking around in confusion. "Whose voice was that?"

Momonga suddenly sensed a terrifying surge of energy. A massive shadow instantly blanketed the area above them, as if the sun itself had been blotted out. Looking up, his face paled as he screamed, "Alessia, watch out!!"

Alessia had felt the impending danger as well. Tearing her gaze upward, she found the colossally wide nostrils of a giant elephant trunk aimed directly at her position.

Before she could even react, a high-pressure torrent of seawater erupted from the trunk. The sheer velocity of the blast carried enough kinetic energy to punch a hole straight through a human body!

"Seawater?! I can’t dodge in time!"

Alessia desperately wanted to retreat, but under the sheer scale of the incoming deluge, there was physically nowhere to run.

"ROOM!"

Suddenly, a massive, translucent spherical dome enveloped Alessia, causing her to vanish from the spot. The high-pressure pillar of water slammed into empty air, while Alessia materialized several hundred meters away.

Glancing to her side, Alessia noted in surprise, "You’re... Trafalgar Law?!"

"I felt Zunesha growing highly agitated, so I came to see what kind of mess was unfolding," Law said, his face grim as he surveyed the epicenter of the battlefield. "Hey... isn’t the situation looking a bit disastrous?"

Alessia turned her gaze back to the fray. Zunesha’s trunk was consciously targeting the Marines. The whip-like appendage, possessing the sheer volume of a skyscraper, swung downward relentlessly. A single strike was enough to claim the lives of hundreds of Marines at a time.

"For Zunesha to actively attack the Marines... I certainly didn’t see this coming."

Borsalino transformed into a beam of light, intercepting the path of the swinging trunk. "We have to stop this quickly~~ Otherwise, how are we going to account for the casualties of our men?"

Cupping his hands to form a circle, he unleashed a barrage of countless light particles. "Yasakani no Magatama!"

However, though the endless streams of light particles detonated violently against the thick hide, the explosions did absolutely nothing to slow Zunesha’s assault. Faced with the colossal mass of the trunk swinging back to obliterate his line of sight, Borsalino decisively chose to convert into light and retreat.
